Special formulas are those in which one of the basic nutrients (usually the protein and/or carrbohydrate) has been changed to an alternative nutrient that an individual baby may better tolerate. The following are specialized formulas : Soy formulas, hypoallergenic formulas, Lactose free formulas, Premature baby formulas, Low phosphate formulas, Formulas for inborn errors of metabolism. Less is known about the long-term effects of feeding babies these special formulas and each formula has its unique properties and indications. The pediatrician must acquaint themselves with all commercially available infant formulas so as to provide the parent with reliable and unbiased information about them.

Using invariant theory, new invariant cubature formulas over a unit cube are given by imposing a group structure on the formulas. Cools and Haegemans [Computing 40, 139-146 (1988)] constructed invariant cubature formulas over a unit square. Since there exists a problem in directly extending their ideas over the unit square which were obtained by using a concept of good integrity basis to some constructions of invariant cubature formulas over the unit cube, a Reynold operator will be used to obtain new invariant cubature formulas over the unit cube. In order to practically find integration nodes and weights for the cubature formulas, it is required to solve a system of nonlinear equations. With an IMSL subroutine DUNLSF which is used for solutions of the system of nonlinear equations, we shall give integration nodes for the new invariant cubature formulas over the unit cube depending on each degree of polynomial precision.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to extend indications of Four-Constitution Medicinal formulas by comparing with formulas on Dongeuibogam(東醫寶鑑), focusing on their composition. Methods : 1. We analyzed the composition of Four-Constitution Medicine formula which are mentioned on Donguisusebowon(東醫壽世保元), focusing on their composition. 2. We analyzed the composition of formulas on Dongeuibogam(東醫寶鑑) comparing with 24 formulas for So-Eum type, 17 formulas for So-Yang type, 24 formulas for Tae-Eum type, 2 formulas for Tae-Yang type. Results & Conclusions : 1. We finally selected 14 formulas and its effect as similar formulas with Bojungyikgi-tang, Insamjinpi-tang, Cheongunggyeji-tang, Palmulgunja-tang, Hwanggigyejibuja-tang, Hwanggigyeji-tang for So-Eum type. 2. We finally selected 4 formulas and its effect as similar formulas with Dokwaljihwang-tang, Sukjihwanggosam-tang for So-Yang type.

This paper presents second derivative generalized extended backward differentiation formulas (SDGEBDFs) based on the second derivative linear multi-step formulas of Cash [1]. This class of second derivative linear multistep formulas is implemented as boundary value methods on stiff problems. The order, error constant and the linear stability properties of the new methods are discussed.

This st at the development of the adequate sediment yield formulas in Wi-Stream basin ; IHP representative basin in Korea. As a result of applying outstanding sediment yield formulas among the existing formulas, it is analyzed that including the Engelund ＆ Hansen formula, Yang formula is proper to the Wi-Stream basin. And as a result of sensitivity analysis to the sediment parameters it is analyzed that Rijn and Actors ＆ White formula is more sensible than any other formulas which has been applied the velocity and depth among the parameters. Also, Engelund ＆ Hansen and Yang formula is less sensible than any other formulas. In Wi-Stream basin, it is analyzed that Yang and Engelund ＆ Hansen formula is the most suitable sediment yield formula in this study. But because the existing formulas had been developed in foreign countries and applied the foreign natural livers and reservoirs, it makes careful use of Korean alluvial river and hoped that it will be developed the most adequate formula in Wi-Stream basin.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to find how Northeast Asia(Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan) supervise herbal formulas in their pharmacopoeia.Methods : We compared items, formula's effects, formulations, etc and analyzed common formulas among Northeast Asia`s herbal pharmacopoeia (Korea(2010), China(2010), Taiwan(2013), Japan(16th Edition), drugs in Japan OTC Drugs (2007-2008))Results : The Korean Pharmacopoeia, the Korean Herbal Pharmacopoeia, Taiwan herbal pharmacopoeia, the japanese pharmacopoeia, drugs in Japan OTC drugs and pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China have 5, 251, 200, 20, 294, 1059 formulas, respectively. In comparison of pharmacopoeia`s test item, Korea and Japan has many similarity, for example, not refer to the effect of formulas. Korea and China have many inspection test of formulations in pharmacopoeia. Each country has differences in ratio of efficacy categories. For example, China especially has a higher ratio of formulas that regulate the blood and Korea has higher ratio of formulas that calm the spirit and open the sensory orifices than those of other 3 countries. There are 17 common formulas among the 4 countries and 43 common formulas among Korea, Taiwan and Japan. Comparing dosage forms, Korea, Japan, Drugs In Japan OTC drugs, Taiwan, China uses 4, 2, 14, 3, 21 formulations, respectively.Conclusions : China has many formulations and new formulas. Taiwan and Japan supervised formulas only selected by the authorities. However, Korean pharmacopoeia has similar form with Japan and need to add more formulas on demand and new formulations.

Objectives : The process of disease treatment in traditional medicine is defined as differentiating patterns and determining treatment. As an important part of this process, the herbal formulas are specific combinations or configurations of medicinal herbs that serve as tools for treatment. As clinical experience increased, the number of herbal formulas also increased. For example, there are 61,739 herbal formulas in Pujifang, and 96,592 in Dictionary of traditional chinese medicine prescriptions. In chapter of Release the exterior syndrome (RES; 解表劑) of textbook, the 42 formulas were presented. For the understanding on the formula, most of books explained with description or figure about the formulas. But there is no study on the interrelationship of each herbal formulas. This study investigated the interrelationship of RES herbal formulas. Methods : The RES herbal formulas were analyzed with the ingredients, actions and clinical applications by literature study. Results : To improve cognition the interrelationship of RES herbal formulas, we analyzed the formulas and established the 19 interrelations of herbal formulas. Conclusions : Finally, this study established the interrelation of herbal formula as one figure. This result could contribute to improve cognition the interrelationship of RES.

We finally selected one formulas(Insamhwanggi-tang) and its effect as similar formulas with Bojungyikgi-tang for So-Eum type.

In this paper, four formulas are proposed via gene expression programming (GEP)-based models and regression analysis (RA) to predict the flexural strength ($f_s$) values of mortars containing different mineral admixtures that are ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBFS), silica fume (SF) and fly ash (FA) at different ages. Three formulas obtained from the GEP-I, GEP-II and GEP-III models are constituted to predict the $f_s$ values from the age of specimen, water-binder ratio and compressive strength. Besides, one formula obtained from the RA is constituted to predict the $f_s$ values from the compressive strength. To achieve these formulas in the GEP and RA models, 972 data of the experimental studies presented with mortar mixtures were gathered from the literatures. 734 data of the experimental studies are divided without pre-planned for these formulas achieved from the training and testing sets of GEP and RA models. Beside, these formulas are validated with 238 data of experimental studies un-employed in training and testing sets. The $f_s$ results obtained from the training, testing and validation sets of these formulas are compared with the results obtained from the experimental studies and the formulas given in the literature for concrete. These comparisons show that the results of the formulas obtained from the GEP and RA models appear to well compatible with the experimental results and find to be very credible according to the results of other formulas.
