회전식 바렐에 의한 단조용 레오로지 소재 제조 (Fabricating Apparatus of Rheological Material for forging by Rotational Barrel)

  • The rotational barrel type equipment has been designed for the new rheology fabrication process. During the continuous rotation of barrel with a constant temperature, the shear rate is controlled with the rotation speed and rotation time of barrel. The barrel surface can be controlled the temperature by the induction heating and cooling system. Many experiments were widely examined by using this system with controlling the rotation speed and the rotation time. The possibility for the rheoforming process was investigated with microstructural characteristics.

순 Ti의 고온 가스질화에 따른 미세조직 변화 (Phase Changes of Pure Ti During High Temperature Gas Nitriding)

  • The effect of high temperature gas nitrding (HTGN) on the surface microstructure in pure Ti was investigated. Two phases of TiN and $Ti_2N$ appeared at the outmost surface, and the wide ${\alpha}$-Ti layer was formed at the next layer. On the other hand, the interior region, where the nitrogen was not permeated, exhibited ${\alpha}$'phase. The outmost surface of TiN and $Ti_2N$ showed the maximum hardness of 1000Hv, while the interior ${\alpha}$'phase was ${\sim}350$ Hv. The permeation depth of nitrogen increased with increasing the gas nitriding temperature and time. The nitrogen concentration of the surface layer seems to be over 12.7% at $1100^{\circ}C$.

  • The nickel-based alloy Nimonic 80A possesses strength, and corrosion, creep and oxidation resistance at high temperature. These products are used for aerospace, marine engineering and power generation, etc. The control of forging parameters such as strain, strain rate, temperature and holding time is important because the microstructure change in hot working affects the mechanical properties. It is necessary to understand the microstructure variation evolution. The microstructure change evolution occurs by recovery, recrystallization and grain growth phenomena. The dynamic recrystallization evolution has been studied in the temperature range $950-1250^{\circ}C$ and strain rate range $0.05-5s^{-1}$ using hot compression tests. The metadynamic recrystallization and grain growth evolution has been studied in the temperature range $950-1250^{\circ}C$ and strain rate range 0.05, $5s^{-1}$, holding time range 5, 10, 100, 600 sec using hot compression tests. Modeling equations are developed to represent the flow curve, recrystallized grain size, recrystallized fraction and grain growth phenomena by various tests. Parameters of modeling equation are expressed as a function of the Zener-Hollomon parameter. The modeling equation for grain growth is expressed as a function of initial grain size and holding time.

Flyash에 의한 STS304 재료의 내침식성 평가 (Evaluation on erosion resistance of STS304 by flyash)

  • Erosion due to abrasive particles contained in gas streams from boilers has been emerged as a significant problem in the coal fired power plants. Particle erosion accounted for approximately 50% of boiler failures and especially flyash erosion was responsible for 20~30% of emergency boiler shutdowns. Particularly, because of the high ash loading and high velocity, most erosion occurs in the boiler tubes and economiser tube bank where the direction of the gas stream changes to $180^{\circ}$ .In this study, a high temperature particle erosion tester was used to evaluate erosion rate in a simulated environment. The erosion parameters such as erosion temperature, particle impact angle, particle velocity and various particle size were changed. Flyash is the combustion product of the pulverized coal, where size is ranging from 1 to $200\mu\textrm{m}$. Flyash composed of mainly SiO$_2$, $A1_2$$_O3$, and $Fe_2$$O_3$has dense spherical particles and irregular particles containing numerous pores and cavities. From the erosion tests at various conditions, the maximum erosion was experienced at impact angles of $30^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$ In addition, erosion rate increased in proportional to velocity and temperature. And from the observation of the eroded surfaces, it was also concluded that 304 stainless steel was mainly eroded by extrusion-forging at high impact angle ($90^{\circ}$) and by microcutting mechanism at low impact angles ($30^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$).

Fe-22%Cr-5.8%Al 합금의 고온 산화 거동 (High-Temperature Oxidation Behavior of Fe-22%Cr-5.8%Al Alloy)

  • This study investigated the high temperature oxidation behavior of Fe-22%Cr-5.8%Al alloy and the oxidation kinetics of the alloy were discussed. Bulk samples were prepared by VAM (vacuum arc melting) and hot forging. High temperature oxidation testes were isothermally conducted up to 100 hours in 79%$N_2$+21%$O_2$ environment at three different temperatures ($900^{\circ}C$, $1000^{\circ}C$, $1100^{\circ}C$). The weight gain was measured after oxidation according to oxidation time (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 60, 80, 100 hours). The weight gain significantly increased with increasing oxidation temperature. As the temperature increased, the oxidized samples showed sequential formation of $Al_2O_3$, Cr-rich oxide, Fe-rich oxide. The activation energy of high temperature oxidation was obtained as 306.63 KJ/mol. $Al_2O_3$ were developed on the surface in the early stage of oxidation, representing protective role of oxidation. However, Fe-based and Cr-based oxides leaded to breakaway of oxide layer, thus resulted in the significant increase of additional oxidation.

  • 본 연구에서는 업셋팅의 변형해석 및 온도해석(열전달 해석)을 비연계 방식으 로 동시에 해석하고 실제 공정에 가깝게 접근하는 축대칭 열점소성 유한요소 프로그램 을 이용하여, 시뮬레이션에 의해 공정을 해석하여 불량감소 및 원가절감을 위해 단조 공정을 개선하는 것이다. 업셋팅공정의 연구에 있어서는 대형강괴의 주 불량요인인 기공의 소멸을 위한 공정방안을 연구하는데 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 3차원 변형형상을 갖는 소재에서 상하금형면의 마찰이 다른 경우에, 작각주 소재와 비직각주 소재(non-prismatic block)에 대해서 적용할 수 있는 동적 가용 속도장(kinematically admissible velocity field)을 유도해 내고자 한다.이론계산에 있어서 가공경화를 고려하기 위해 소성변형 영역을 유한개의 요소들로 나누고 이들 각 요소에 대해서 유효변형도, 유효응력을 계산하여 에너지 소비율을 계산하였다.

열응력 해석에 의한 블랭크 단조품 가열공정 평가 (Evaluation of Blank Heating Processes by Thermal Stress Analysis)

  • 선박용 디젤엔진 부품인 블랭크 단조품 가열 시 생산성 및 품질을 향상시키기 위하여 새로운 가열공정을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 새로운 블랭크 가열공정을 평가하고 가열공정 설계기준을 정립하기 위하여 수치해석 전용 프로그램인 ANSYS를 사용하여 재료의 비선형을 고려한 온도분포, 열응력 해석을 수행하였다. 가열조건은 승온단계와 유지단계로 구성되어 총 32시간이며 가열 시 시간경과에 따른 블랭크 내 외부의 온도분포와 열응력 변화를 평가하였다. 그 결과 가열 시 승온단계에서 블랭크 내 외부 온도차는 시간이 경과함에 따라 점차 증가하여 최종 승온단계에서 최대 온도차가 발생하나 유지단계에서 온도차는 점진적으로 감소하는 반면에 가열이 시작되어 10시간 경과 후 블랭크 내부에는 최대 등가응력 $12.5kg/mm^2$가 발생한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 단조품 가열공정을 설계함에 있어서 가열 후 10시간 경과 시, 즉 노내 온도 $650^{\circ}C$에서 블랭크 내 외부 온도차는 $150^{\circ}C$이내가 되도록 관리해야 한다.

차세대 원전 대형 압력용기용 고강도 SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Cr-Mo계 저합금강 개발 (High Strength SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Cr-Mo Low Alloy Steels for Larger Pressure Vessels of the Advanced Nuclear Power Plant)

  • There is a growing need to introduce advanced pressure vessel steels with higher strength and toughness for the optimizatiooCn of the design and construction of longer life and larger capacity nuclear power plants. SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Cr-Mo low alloy steels have superior strength and fracture toughness, compared to SA508 Gr.3 Mn-Mo-Ni low alloy steel. Therefore, the application of SA508 Gr.4N low alloy steel could be considered to satisfy the strength and toughness required in advanced nuclear power plants. The purpose of this study is to characterize the microstructure and mechanical properties of SA508 Gr.4N low alloy steels. 1 ton ingot of SA508 Gr.4N model alloy was fabricated by vacuum induction melting followed by forging, quenching, and tempering. The predominant microstructure of the SA508 Gr.4N model alloy is tempered martensite having small packet and fine Cr-rich carbides. The yield strength at room temperature was 540MPa, and it was decreased with an increase of test temperature while DSA phenomenon occurred at around $288^{\circ}C$. Overall transition property of SA508 Gr.4N model alloy was much better than SA508 Gr.3 low alloy steel. The index temperature, $T_{41J}$, of SA508 Gr.4N model alloy was $-132^{\circ}C$ in Charpy impact tests, and reference nil-ductility transition temperature, $RT_{NDT}$ of $-105^{\circ}C$ was obtained from drop weight tests. From the fracture toughness tests performed in accordance with the ASTM standard E1921 Master curve method, the reference temperature, $T_0$ was $-147^{\circ}C$, which was improved more than $60^{\circ}C$ compared to SA508 Gr.3 low alloy steels.

응축 및 증발 부하에 따른 냉동시스템 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Refrigerating System according to the Condensation and Evaporation Load)

  • The refrigerating system are high efficiency and comfortable due to the automation of the system as well as enhance energy saving are contributing to driving system. Previous study the rotational frequency of the compressor was confined to the fixed condition have changed load of evaporator and condenser related about the refrigerator performance characteristic according to the evaporation load and condensation load change tries to be analyze through the experiment. The useful data for the economic driving of the freezing apparatus tries to be drawn. Consequently, it confirmed that refrigerant in the compressor overheated and as the evaporation load increased the specific volume was increased and the coolant circulation rate decreased. In confirmed that condensation load increased the compression ratio and discharge gas temperature increased. It reduced the low-temperature efficiency and condensation calorie and the quality factor was decreased.
