Selection of profitable research and development (R&D) projects is one of the major factors affecting sustained growth of firms and countries. This paper analyze what influences the knowledge on the business model exerted on selection of a R&D project. A business model converts the technology value to the customer value, and comprehensively describes the target customers for commercializing a new technology, core values, behaviors within organizations, resources, and external partners. Thus, understanding a business model would make R&D project evaluators place the feasibility and profitability of the business above the merits of the proposed technology in evaluating the technology development. To verify this hypothesis, we had 78 R&D project evaluators acquire the knowledge on the business model and measured how their criteria for R&D project selection have changed using the AHP method. The results shows that feasibility and profitability are more important than the merit of proposed technology, especially capability of company and business development are more important than the levels of technology innovation.

The causes that the transparency of Korean accounting information was rated low, a short supply of faithful and transparent accounting information from the limitation of external audit environment must be pointed out. Purpose of the external audit is a expression of the auditors about that financial statements an enterprise made public were appropriately drew up in accordance with the corporate accounting principles from important point of view. Analysis of the audit opinion and so fourth according to 6,541 individual audit reports and introduced to the bill securities forward committee as a subject of external audit according to the raw of corporation external audit show that considerable change to the contents of audit report. This show as it is that uncertainty of future that is now being faced by our enterprise, because corporation which present audit reports since 1997 because of enterprise dishonor and contents of existence probability as a continued enterprise following to general economic crisis after 1998 occupy important position in special matters of audit report. Also, increase in special matters is due to application of the corporate accounting principles revised on December 11, 1998. In 1999, audit opinion under limitation(limitation, incongruity and rejecting opinion) increased greatly according to existence doubt as a continued enterprise, and this is the consequence of strengthening audit to the continues enterprise because of limited enterprise dishonor according to the stagnancy of business activities after 1997. Now financial supervisory service put in effect electromagnetic public announcement system about a project report of listed corporation (including an audit report) keeping pace with a documentary public announcement system as first phase since 1999 and expand to the unlisted corporation from 2000. As electromagnetic public announcement of public announcement documents including audit documents of external audit subject get a duty, approach of external user to the accounting information will be easier. Fixation of this system will make deep and wide analysis to the audit opinion, and this will draw up a plan to reconsider confidence of accounting information.

In this research, risk factors which can raise project cost are identified in the initial stage and picked out through the decision maker's baseline. And also this probable risks are implemented to the project cash flow to estimate the contingency and to build a risk management system in the level of project. The risks that affect the projects profits were classified in two categories in the risk checklist. Firstly, financial risks derived from the external economic conditions for example exchange rate, escalation, interest rates etc. are analyzed through the stochastic methods, Monte-Carlo Simulation. Secondly, the project individual risks which are come from the project characteristics, for example country risk, clime, owner etc., are evaluated using the utility curve of the decision maker. Finally these risk analysis methods are used to forecast the actual project cash flow and final profit.

In the SW industry, the diversification of global markets and technology trends are changing due to the emergence of new services, and IT companies are in need of strategic change different from the previous one. In this study, SWOT analysis was performed by extracting the internal environmental factors and external environmental factors through the previous studies to improve the project performance competence of small IT companies, and the SWOT Matrix was reconstructed through the pairwise comparison. Based on this, the purpose of this research was to propose the project performance competency improvement plans for small IT companies based on importance and priority, and the following four strategies were derived from the result of SWOT-AHP analysis. SO strategy was drawn in direction to invest R & D in new SW industry to enhance technology competitiveness of SMEs in order to develop SMEs, and in order to secure competitiveness of SW industry, WO strategy is drawn the cultivation of professional technical manpower through SW policy. ST Strategy presented technical management through SW system improvement policy to improve SW environment, and WT Strategy presented awareness training on the construction and necessity of project management system construction. Using the strategies presented in this study, it is expected that the managers of small IT firms will be presented as references to measure the performance competence factors of current organizations and company organizations.

Open-source software development projects are well suited for exploring new ideas and acquiring knowledge from developers outside of the project. In this paper, we examine the impact of external developers on innovation in open-source software development from the perspective of organizational learning theory. We examine the roles of external and internal developers, who "explore" and "exploit," respectively, on the innovation performance of 17 691 open-source software development projects whose data is stored in the GitHub platform. The results indicate that a multifaceted strategy, in which the exploitation successfully supports the exploration, is most effective for their success. The results also indicate that the role of exploration decreases after the release of the software.

Recently, the hybrid system combining fuel cell and gas turbine has drawn much attention owing to its high efficiency and ultra low emission. It is now on the verge of world wide development and various system configurations have been proposed. A national project funded by Korean government has also been initiated to develop a pressurized hybrid system. This work aims at presenting design performance analysis for various possible system configurations as an initial step for the system development. Study focuses are given to major design options including the power ratio between gas turbine and fuel cell, reforming method (internal or external), reforming heat source (reforming burner, cathode hot air, fuel cell heat release) and steam supply method for reformer (anode gas recirculation, external steam generator). A wide variation in performance among different configurations has been predicted.

Among the approaches to the production of "green" energy, geothermal power systems are becoming quite popular in Europe. Their installation in existing buildings requires an extended, external pipes appendix and its laying operation needs a drilling activities nearby structural skeletons often designed to support static loads only, especially when ancient buildings are targeted. This contribution reports and discusses the experimental results achieved within a specific case study within the European project GEOFIT. In particular, standard accelerometric measurements in and nearby a single-story reinforced concrete building are collected and analysed in the absence of drilling (pre-drilling) and during drilling activities (drilling phase) to monitor the structure response to the external source of vibrations related to the excavations phase. The target is to outline automatic guidelines toward installations preventing from any sort of structural damage.

The purposes of this paper are first, to develop and adapt auditing methodology of rural amenity resource investigation and second, to propose strategic planning of amenity web data base system. Relating with auditing methodology, we make the life cycle of rural amenity resource investigation based on value chain method. we make 8 stage of auditing process and 105 auditing items in details. We adapt these guidelines in real world and then improve developed methodology. Therefore we expect to promote the quality and accuracy of investigation project using these guidelines. Relating with blue print of strategic planning, we first analyse external environment about Competitors, Suppliers, New entrants, Buyers, Substitutes with 5 force model for amenity information system. We second make the blue print of strategic planning of amenity web data base system project. Then we propose the FIRST, BEST, MOST strategy of amenity web data base system and the web hub system.

In this paper, we have designed a deployment process system that extract and integrate information related to technology and market opportunities through searching for external environment and internal condition on multi-dimensional space in order to generate new research themes. It is expected that this theme extraction model could be contributed to the maximization of R&D productivity by systemization of the opportunity extraction process for generating research themes in R&D center or laboratory.

Object-orientation has been proposed as a promising software process innovation to improve software productivity and quality. It has not been understood clearly, however, what factors influences the diffusion of object-oriented technology in organizations. A research model was formulated and hypotheses were generated based on the literature of information technology implementation and software process innovation. To test the research hypotheses, a questionnaire survey was conducted. The results based on 121 responses from Korean companies revealed that project characteristics, use of external experts, and number of development projects are significantly related to the diffusion of object-oriented analysis and design and object-oriented programming. Innovation champion is positively related to the diffusion of object-oriented analysis and design, whereas it is not related to the diffusion of object-oriented programming language. Only project complexity was significantly related to the diffusion of visual programming language. On the other hand, organizational size was not significantly related to any object-oriented technology in this study.
