  • Purpose: We examined the effects of cognitive flexibility, resilience, and professional quality of life on the job embeddedness of nurses. Methods: The participants were 120 nurses in three general hospitals. Data collection was conducted using self-report questionnaires from May 17 to June 2, 2022. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Results: There were significant differences in job embeddedness by experience of turnover (t=-3.15, p=.002). The factors influencing the job embeddedness of the nurses were compassion satisfaction (β=.44, p<.001), resilience (β=.24, p=.035), experience of turnover (β=.23, p=.002), and cognitive flexibility (β=.21, p=.027). It was found that 39% could explain job embeddedness. Conclusion: It is necessary for nurses' support programs to be related to the experience of turnover to enhance job embeddedness. The results indicate a need to develop a program for cultivating compassion satisfaction, resilience, and cognitive flexibility to improve job embeddedness.

Registered nurses (RNs) felt burnout with an overload of work and by the thought that it was illegal action for registered nurses to receive insufficient rewards for their work. RNs also experienced there were no problem solving strategies to verbal violence by patient and medical team. Conclusion: The findings show that burnout experiences for those who had turnover intention was developed from the insight that insufficient training to do work independently with over-load for nurses was not ethical. It suggests that it is necessary to rethink training systems for nursing and hospitals to relieve turnover intention.

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to identify factors that affect work dissatisfaction and turnover intention for dedicated nurses working in emergency departments of vulnerable areas of health care. The purpose of this study is to identify risk factors related to the working environment that influence job dissatisfaction and intention to turnover among dedicated nurses working in emergency rooms in areas of medical vulnerability. Methods: We conducted a survey of nurses working in emergency rooms in vulnerable areas of medical care, and the survey was conducted for two consecutive years. A logistic regression analysis was performed with the working environment variable as the independent variable and the work environment dissatisfaction and turnover intention as dependent variables, respectively. Results: The variables that significantly affected both dissatisfactions with the working environment and turnover intention at the current institution were age, overlapping work in other departments, and the total work experience of nurses. Annual salary, the average number of double-duty (continuous work) per month, type of work, and work experience of nurses at the current institution had a significant effect only on dissatisfaction with the working environment. Conclusion: The results of this study are thought to be of great help if the government takes reference when establishing medical policies in vulnerable areas in the future.

Therefore, this study aimed to find out the effect on job consciousness, job stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intention of caregivers in nursing hospitals for the elderly. Methodology: In this study, a survey was conducted from May 2nd to 16th, 2022, targeting caregivers with more than 6 months of work experience working at 10 nursing hospitals in D City. Data were collected through convenience sampling, and a self-administered questionnaire method was used, in which subjects filled out a questionnaire. A total of 240 questionnaires were distributed, and 220 copies were considered for the final analysis after excluding non-response or inappropriate questionnaires for data use. Data analysis used t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis, and the main results are as follows. Findings: Job stress and job satisfaction showed a significant correlation with the level of turnover intention, and were also found to be major determinants. On the other hand, among the occupational characteristics of the study subjects, employment type, job motivation, service period, number of patients, injury experience, and license status showed a significant difference from turnover intention. Conclusion: As a result of the above research, in order to prevent job turnover and retirement by improving job stress and job satisfaction of caregivers engaged in nursing hospitals, it is necessary not only to legalize caregivers, but also to secure an appropriate level of caregivers for nursing hospitals and improve specific treatment for caregivers. Ultimately, a policy alternative that can provide quality nursing service is required.

SPSS (statisical Packageds for the Social Sciences) version

  • This study aimed to analyze the six personality factors of rehabilitation therapists and to identify the effects of these factors on their job stress and turnover intention. This study involved physical therapists and occupational therapists as rehabilitation therapists. A structured questionnaire was distributed to rehabilitation therapists, and 186 answered copies were used for data analysis. The results of the survey were as follows: Among the six personality factors, the rehabilitation therapists showed the highest level of honesty-humility and the lowest level of openness to experience. In terms of job stress, the subjects experienced the highest level of stress from job autonomy and the lowest level of stress from relationship conflict. In terms of turnover intention and work motivation reduction, the subjects scored above the median points, showing their high levels of turnover intention. In addition, higher levels of extraversion and agreeableness in the rehabilitation therapists led to a statistically significant reduction in their turnover intention and a statistically significant decrease in most of their job stress factors. Based on these results, organizational management aimed at increasing the personality factors of extraversion and agreeableness is necessary as a measure to effectively manage rehabilitation therapists' job stress and turnover intention.
