Coded cooperation that integrates channel coding in cooperative transmission has gained a great deal of interest in wireless relay networks. The performance analysis of coded cooperation protocol with multiple relays is investigated in this paper. We show that the diversity order achieved by the coded cooperation in a multi-relay wireless network is not only dependent on the number of cooperating relays but is also dependent on the code-rate of the system. We derive the code-rate bound, which is required to achieve the full diversity gain of the order of cooperating nodes. The code-rate required to achieve full diversity is a linearly decreasing function of the number of available relays in the network. We show that the instantaneous channel state information (CSI)-based relay selection can effectively alleviate this code-rate bound. Analysis shows that the coded cooperation with instantaneous CSI-based relay selection can achieve the full diversity, for an arbitrary number of relays, with a fixed code-rate. Finally, we develop tight upper bounds for the bit error rate (BER) and frame error rate (FER) of the relay selection based on coded cooperation under a Rayleigh fading environment. The analytical upper bounds are verified with simulation results.

A new a posteriori error estimator is introduced and applied to variational inequalities occurring in problems of flow through porous media. In order to construct element-wise a posteriori error estimates the global error is localized by a special mixed formulation in which continuity conditions at interfaces are treated as constraints. This approach leads to error indicators which provide rigorous upper bounds of the element errors. A discussion of a compatibility condition for the well-posedness of the local error analysis problem is given. Two numerical examples are solved to check the compatibility of the local problems and convergence of the effectivity index both in a local and a global sense with respect to local refinements.

We investigate some techniques of iterative refinement of solutions of a nonsingular system Ax = b with A partitioned into blocks using only single precision arithmetic. We prove that iterative refinement improves a blockwise measure of backward stability. Some applications of the results for the least squares problem (LS) will be also considered.

For analytic functions we give an expression for the kernel $K_n$ of the remainder terms for the Gauss-Radau and the Gauss-Lobatto rules with end points of multiplicity r and prove the convergence of the kernel we obtained. The error bound are obtained for the type $$\mid$R_n(f)$\mid$ \leq \frac{1}{\pi}l(\Gamma) max_{z \in \Gamma} $\mid$K_n(z)$\mid$ max_{z \in \Gamma} $\mid$f(z)$\mid$$, where $l(\Gamma)$ denotes the length of contour $\Gamma$.

본 연구는 연구개발지출, 연구개발인력, 해외직접투자, 상품무역수지, 기술무역개방 등이 기술무역수지에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이에 1981년부터 2014년까지의 연간 시계열 데이터를 이용하여 ARDL-bounds 검정을 실시하였으며, 그 결과 이들 경제변수들 간에 안정적인 장기균형관계가 존재함을 확인하였다. 이어서 기술무역수지에 대한 각 변수들의 장기와 단기적 영향을 추정해보았다. 먼저 장기균형식에 따른 결과를 살펴보면, 연구개발지출은 기술무역수지에 장기적으로 부(-)의 효과를 미치고, 연구개발인력과 기술무역개방은 기술무역수지에 장기적으로 정(+)의 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그에 반해, 해외직접투자와 상품무역수지는 통계적으로 유의하지 않은 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 오차수정모형을 토대로 분석한 결과에 따르면, 해외직접투자만 단기적으로 기술무역수지에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 외 변수들의 경우 차분항의 시차변수들이 양(+)과 음(-)이 혼재된 결과가 나타나 명확한 단기적 관계는 도출하지 못하였다. 이상 이러한 결과들을 종합하건대, 장기적으로 기술무역수지를 개선하기 위해서는 연구인력의 양성 및 확보가 무엇보다 중요하며, 기술무역에 대한 시장개방 역시 점차적으로 확대해 나갈 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this paper is to give an upper bound for A[n,4], the maximum number of codewords in a binary code of word length n with minimum distance 4 between codewords. We have improved upper bound for A[12k+11,4]. In this correspondence we prove $A[23,4]\leq173716$.

We obtain bounds relating to Eulers formula for the case of a function with higher-order convexity properties. These are used to derive estimates of the error involved in the use of the trapezoidal formula for integrating such a function.

A local convergence result is provided for the continuous analog of Newton's method in a Banach space setting. The radius of convergence is larger, the error bounds tighter, and under the same or weaker hypotheses than before [12].
