이 논문은 흄의 정의(justice) 개념에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 고대 이래 많은 철학자들은 정의를 아리스토텔레스의 모범에 따라 "분배적 정의"로 이해하고 있다. 정의에 대한 이러한 이해는 근대에까지 이어오는데, 근대에서는 특히 소유권 혹은 사적 재산과 연관해서 다루어진다. 근대에서 사적 소유권은 어떤 경우에도 침해되어서는 안 되는 절대적 권리로 간주된다. 흄은 이 사적 소유권을 정의와 동일시하고 있다. 사적 소유권을 절대 침해해서는 안 된다는 것은 정의를 절대 깨트려서는 안 된다는 것과 동치이다. 흄은 이러한 정의가 어디에서 기원하는가의 문제에 관심을 기울이고 있다. 즉 흄은 칸트식의 정의의 정당화(justification)에 관심을 가지고 있는 것이 아니라, 정의라는 관념의 발생 과정이라는 심리학적 논의에 관심을 두고 있다. 흄의 대답은 "사회적 효용성"이 그 기원이라는 것이다. 공적 사회는 인간이 존재하기 위한 필연적 조건이다. 즉 공적 사회가 존재 혹은 존립하지 않는다면, [현재와 같은] 인간은 존재할 수 없다. 그러면 인간이 존재하기 위한 전제 조건인 공적 사회는 어떻게 존재 혹은 유지될 수 있는가? 흄에 따르면 정의를 통해서 유지된다는 것이다. 그러면 정의의 존재 근거는 어디에 있는가? 흄은 정의의 존재 근거는 자연이 아니라, 인간의 묵계(convention)에 있다는 것이다. 인간은 묵계를 통해서 정의를 암묵적으로 받아들이며, 그렇게 함으로써 인간은 자신의 존재를 유지할 수 있다. 이것이 흄의 개략적인 통찰이다. 흄은 이런 자신의 주장을 관철하기 위해서 매우 다양한 개념들을 구사한다. 본 논문은 이러한 다양한 개념을 중심으로 인간의 정의 개념이 어떻게 형성되는가를 흄의 관점에서 조망하고자 한다.

Microstructural evolution of alpha and beta phases during dynamic globularization of near-beta Ti-13Nb-13Zr alloy was investigated to determine the optimum processing conditions. The submicrocrystalline alloy sheet with ${\sim}80%$ of high-angle grain boundaries was produced utilizing dynamic globularization at temperature of $600^{\circ}C$, equivalent strain rate of $10^{-1}\;s^{-1}$ and strain of 1.4. The refined structure with the gain size of ${\sim}0.4{\mu}m$ showed 25-60% enhanced mechanical compatibility as compared to those of the conventional mill-annealed or solution treated and aged microstructures.

Owing to the development of the notion of normal adjacency of a digital product [9], product properties of digital topological properties were studied efficiently. To equivalently represent a normal adjacency of a digital product, the present paper proposes an S-compatible adjacency of a digital product. This approach can be helpful to understand a normal adjacency of a digital product. Finally, using an S-compatible adjacency of a digital product, we can study product properties of digital topological properties, which improves the presentations of the normal adjacency of a digital product in [9] and [5, 6].

Stoichiometric, uniform, amorphous ZrO$_2$ films with an equivalent oxide thickness of ∼1.5nm and a dielectric constant of ∼18 were deposited by an atomic layer controlled deposition process on silicon for potential application in meta-oxide-semiconductor(MOS) devices. The conduction mechanism is identified as Schottky emission at low electric fields and as Poole-Frenkel emission at high electric fields. the MOS devices showed low leakage current, small hysteresis(〈50mV), and low interface state density(∼2*10e11/cm2eV). Microdiffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy showed a localized monoclinic phase of ${\alpha}$-ZrO$_2$ and an amorphous interfacial ZrSi$\_$x/O$\_$y/ layer which has a correspondign dielectric constant of 11

This paper addresses the wavelet fuzzy modeling using Virus-Evolutionary Genetic Algorithm (VEGA). We build a fuzzy system model which is equivalent to the wavelet transform after identifying the coefficients of wavelet transform. We can obtain an accurate system model with a small number of coefficients due to the energy compaction property of the wavelet transform. It thus means that we can construct a fuzzy system model with a small number of rules. In order to identify the wide-ranged coefficients of the wavelet transform, VEGA is adopted, which has prominent ability to avoid premature local convergence that is suitable to complex optimization problems. We demonstrate the superiority of our proposed fuzzy system modeling method over the previous results by modeling nonlinear function.

This paper seeks to find out possibility of introducing market order into Korean fisheries regulatory system. Hayek tells us that market order is equivalent to spontaneous order, while regulations are man-made order created based on incomplete knowledge. He also sees market competition as a discovery procedure of knowledge and information. From this perspective is discussed Korean fisheries regulatory reform-particularly issues of establishing property right on fishery resources. It appears that there is quite a large room for substituting market functions for the regulations regarding fishery resources management, even though fishery resources have a very nature of common pool. Advanced fisheries suggest that successful regulatory reform require a well-prepared strategic plan and check list. In addition, the government should be able to secure sufficient monitoring and surveillance power and to play an important role as a fair supervisor.

The new better than used failure rate (NBUFR), Abouammoh and Ahmed (1988), and new better than average failure rate (NBAFR) Loh (1984) classes of life distributions, have been considered in the literature as natural weakenings of NBU (NWU) property. The paper considers testing exponentiality against strictly NBUFR (NBAFR) alternatives, or their duals, based on goodness of fit approach that is possible in life testing problems and that it results in simpler procedures that are asymptotically equivalent or better than standard ones. They may also have superior finite sample behavior. The asymptotic normality are proved. Powers, Pitman asymptotic efficiency and critical points are computed. Dealing with censored data case also studied. Practical applications of our tests in the medical sciences are present.

The non-linear finite element program of the large deformation analysis by computer simulation has been used in the prediction and evaluation of the behaviors of the non-linear rubber components. The analysis of rubber components requires the tools modelling the special materials that are quite different from those used for the metallic parts. The nonlinear simulation analysis used in this study is expected to be widely applied in the design analysis and the development of several rubber components which are used In the manufacturing process of many industries. By utilizing this method, the time and cost can also be saved in developing the new rubber product. The objective of this study is to analyze the rubber component with the large deformation and non-linear properties.

A module M is said to satisfy the $EC_{11}$ condition if every ec-submodule of M has a complement which is a direct summand. We show that for a multiplication module over a commutative ring the $EC_{11}$ and P-extending conditions are equivalent. It is shown that the $EC_{11}$ property is not inherited by direct summands. Moreover, we prove that if M is an $EC_{11}$-module where SocM is an ec-submodule, then it is a direct sum of a module with essential socle and a module with zero socle. An example is given to show that the reverse of the last result does not hold.

An equivalent schema matching among several different source schemas is very important for information integration or mining on the XML based World Wide Web. Finding most similar source schema corresponding mediated schema is a major bottleneck because of the arbitrary nesting property and hierarchical structures of XML DTD schemas. It is complex and both very labor intensive and error prune job. In this paper, we present the first complex matching of XML schema, i.e. XML DTD, inlining two dimensional DTD graph into flat feature values. The proposed method captures not only schematic information but also integrity constraints information of DTD to match different structured DTD. We show the integrity constraints based hierarchical schema matching is more semantic than the schema matching only to use schematic information and stored data.
