  • In this paper, a basic machine learning model learning and utilization education curriculum for non-majors is proposed, and an education method using Orange machine learning model learning and analysis tools is proposed. Orange is an open-source machine learning and data visualization tool that can create machine learning models by learning data using visual widgets without complex programming. Orange is a platform that is widely used by non-major undergraduates to expert groups. In this paper, a basic machine learning model learning and utilization education curriculum and weekly practice contents for one semester are proposed. In addition, in order to demonstrate the reality of practice contents for machine learning model learning and utilization, we used the Orange tool to learn machine learning models from categorical data samples and numerical data samples, and utilized the models. Thus, use cases for predicting the outcome of the population were proposed. Finally, the educational satisfaction of this curriculum is surveyed and analyzed for non-majors.

  • As 10th energy consumption country in the world, it is very important to educate the importance of the energy to the elementary school students. The purpose of this class is to let the pupils understand the mechanisms and performances of tidal power generation as a renewable energy application system. To satisfy the educational goals, a lecture material and a simple type of tidal power generator kit is developed. As the survey result after lecture and experiments which include assembly and test, 'Well understood' is marked as 90% among 58 elementary students, and moreover 70% among them feel to participate in higher level course. This project shows the possibility and effect of the renewable energy education course as a service engineering, which is managed and carried out by undergraduates for pupils under the professor's guide.

  • This paper suggests a realistic, business engineers' model based on Coop projects run by regional universities or colleges, in which students must meet the guidelines for engineering design that ABEEK requires. Many of current activities such as Coop programs and Internships aimed for engineering majored-undergraduates have notled them either to a satisfactory level of business skill at entrepreneur side, or to their higher chance of employment opportunities. Under the circumstances like this, we need a revised version of Coop activities: for example, launching a project that will be fully supported intrust by both sides, and thus improving students' business skill while they are working on that project. We demonstrate in this study how students have greatly improved their business skill through a model project that was planned by a working group, was successfully carried out on real job positions, and many of the students in the working group were job-offered finally as this new model suggested.

  • The purpose of this study was to identity the relationships of sub factor among the brain dominance thinking types(A,B,C,D quadrant thinking type) is based on the Whole Brain Modal and self-leadership by Manz. The subjects were 102 undergraduates students from the Hoseo university in Cheonan. The results of this study as follows ; first, the brain dominance thinking type A was the highest and type C was highly rated. Second, the brain dominance thinking type A was not correlated type C and type D. Third, the brain dominance thinking type C and self-leadership sub factor was significantly positively correlated.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a countermeasure against a major cause that leads to game addiction, by grasping tendency of the actual condition for the online game use in freshmen for university and by analyzing relationship of game addiction according to factors. As a result of analyzing on relationship among sub-variables for game addiction, it could be known that the more men in gender leads to the more serious game addiction and that the longer game time given using once leads to the higher level in control loss and game addiction. Also, it was indicated that the more in group with high risk leads to the more serious in physical and mental problem. There is a suggestion that a scale related to game is developed for the expansion in counseling institution nationwide and for the preventive education targeting all the ages including undergraduates and adults as well as small children and children.

  • This study is to explore the meaning and role of "Shared Universities" as perceived by college students. Currently, shared universities are being promoted as an important innovative strategy to overcome the decline in the college-age population and enhance the quality of education by sharing human and material resources among individual universities. This study aims to examine the meaning and value of "shared universities" as perceived by college students who actually participate in shared university programs from the perspective of the demand side. Specifically, the study seeks to explore what students feel and experience through shared university education in order to derive implications for future shared university operations.

  • This study examined a difference in a change of understanding and recognition on STEAM Education before and after participating in STEAM Education of university students majoring in teaching profession of engineering system who took part in 'STEAM Education of being made together with undergraduates for 2016' as part of the project for a center of supporting STEAM pre-service teachers. As a result, the pre-service teachers majoring in teaching profession of engineering system could be confirmed to have been improved the understanding and sympathy level with STEAM education as a whole following the execution of the program. Comparing it with other majoring system, the pre-service teachers majoring in teaching profession of engineering system were shown to be a little low in pre-perception or satisfaction, but were indicated later to have high intention of participation in STEAM education. This suggests that the pre-service teachers majoring in teaching profession of engineering system recognize the importance of STEAM education in the engineering education, but are feeling pressure about interpersonal communication. Accordingly, it is time that there is a need to have a system of officially providing the implementation of STEAM education and an opportunity of experience in the education for pre-service teachers aiming at the engineering education for future generation.

  • As the industry environment is changing to automated systems, engineering education at university has changed with industrial development. Industry technology will be developed, and the industry environment will become more complicated. Therefore, the knowledge that undergraduates have to acquire in university will be extensive. Industries need a person with expertise to react quickly to rapidly changing technology. Therefore, universities need to endeavor to cultivate manpower in technical fields. This is difficult because the contents of engineering education must react quickly to rapidly changing industry technology. This paper proposes a hardware-linked simulation platform for engineering education on the well-used systems in industrial sites.
