Entering upon 21th, the internet which bring the digital era, are changing the paradigm of education and cultivating creative and challenging person, which is the core of competitive power in knowledge-information society, is more emphasized than ever. To meet the needs of the present times, it has been concentrating its effort to improve learning-environment using e-Learning in the field of teaching. E-schoolbooks that were introduced recently by way of showing an example are representative case of this intention. Though many e-learning contents are being developed, the more speedily a society grow, the shorter the life of contents are. Moreover, the contents developed are impossible to use directly for tele-education system, so standard types adjusted for various kind of system are showing up. Among them the leading standard type is SCORM(Sharable Content Object Reference Medel) made in ADL(Advanced Distributed Learning) Corporation. The KERIS' Cyber Home Education System adopted this and is using it. So, in this study, we set the goal at designing and developing an e-learning contents and an experiment-focused mathematics that suit the KERIS' Cyber Home Education System on the basis of SCORM.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the feasible strategies to vitalize e-learning through investigating the characteristics of e-learning and the evaluations of distance learners on online courses in the domestic universities in Korea. First, in order to accomplish this, 10 Universities and 17 Cyber Universities were selected to explore their characteristics and main projects of e-learning for the administration level investigation. Secondly, content analysis of the bulletin board systems(BBS) and in-depth interviews on distance learners in Cyber Universities were conducted for the user level investigation. The results revealed that Universities in Korea were focused on establishing mobile or smart campuses, diversifying online educational contents, enhancing online interactive systems, and educating e-learning system and smart device utilization. However, distance learners reported that mobile e-learning lacked stability when taking online courses despite its convenience for purpose of academic administration. In addition, distance learners requested the social application workshops to improve on their learning experience as well as the interactions among peers. Therefore, it is important to focus more on how to establish the education-oriented e-learning environment rather than how to implement the administrative projects to animate e-learning in the domestic universities in Korea.

The purpose of this study is to develop an examination system for an e-learning quality manager's certificate which is composed of subjects, criteria, method of examination. The task model of e-learning quality manager was modify and task/knowledge/skill matrix was developed to design the examination system through conferences of DACUM committee and an advisory committee. And a survey was carry out to analyze validity of contents of the examination system. The major findings were as the follow: First, occupational specification, job specification, task specification and task/knowledge/skill matrix were developed. Second, examination subjects were developed based on task/knowledge/skill matrix, which were "Basis of e-Learning and plan of service", "Expulsion and management of e-learning infrastructure", "Development of e-learning contents", "Operation and evaluation of e-learning service". Third, the criteria and methods of examination for an e-learning quality manager's certificate were developed, which is composed of test type, the sum of test items, test time and acceptable standards.

E-learning is a new paradigm of education using Internet media. E-learning is rapidly expanding, since it is not restricted by time and space. However, due to the lack of standardization in e-learning, learning contents are developed redundantly. SCORM has been proposed to address this standardization problems. The mere learning contents are shared, the higher the reusability of contents becomes. Therefore, it is needed to develop methods or tools to help educators or content producers to create a learning course easily. In this paper, we propose an association method that could help educators or content producers to efficiently generate learning courses for a subject. The association method, a learning course generation method suggested by this paper, makes use of existing learning courses and learning contents to create new learning courses suitable to a subject. The association method analyzes statistical information of leaning objects derived from existing learning courses and measures coherence between learning objects to create a learning course. The association method suggested by this paper not only supports educators or content producers for easy generation of learning course but also offers a guideline for developing learning courses.

This paper studies characteristics of e-Learning users' motivation, attitudes and satisfaction. For this purpose, surveys were conducted of university students who choose e-Learning as one of main learning tools. The research found that stable service and proper service charges were critical to the loyalty to e-Learning service. It also showed that both quality and quantity of contents were very important factors to e-Learning growth.

When a designer creates a new web-based learning-teaching system, there are so many considerations to help learners' learning effect through effective interaction. First of all, web-based simulation is recommended to provide learners with effective and attractive learning environments in web. Efficient study design should be considered because well designed simulation-based contents provide continuous interest for learner. Until now many e-Learning systems provide web-based simulation using various technique. However, those contents require to be reorganized considering the level of accomplishment, learning styles. In this paper, I proposed a system that the learners can share simulation objects among other e-Learning systems using XML web service. By experimental result, the proposed system shows that is more efficient than the conventional system in the self-leading study activity and interactivity.

Many learners are encountering e-Learning contents with smart devices and contents provides are carefully observing learners' reuse intention and behavior. Therefore, this study investigated the effect of e-Learning content platform characteristics on reuse intention for 200 users with smartphone-based e-Learning experience. The results show that the characteristics affecting reuse intention are content quality, interactivity, and ubiquity. Moreover, for men, only interactivity affects reuse intention, and for women, ubiquity and content quality affect reuse intention. When using smartphone-based e-Learning for less than an hour a day, only content quality affects reuse intention. On the contrary, ubiquity, convenience, and interactivity influence reuse intention when learning for more than one hour. Our results suggest meaningful implications that how e-Learning companies change their smartphone-based platform business strategy and how they utilize its key factors.

The purpose of this study is to develop the components and design strategies of e-learning content for the development of interpersonal competency, one of NCS vocational core competencies. In order to standardize the educational curriculum and content of interpersonal competency, this study has referred to the educational handbook of NCS vocational core competencies that the Human Resources Development Service of Korea has developed. Based on such standardized content, e-learning content components and design strategies were extracted by analyzing related studies and e-learning cases as well as by conducting surveys and interviews with experts and instructors of the field. Applying components and design strategies extracted through those investigations, the e-learning content for the development of interpersonal competency was developed. Its design's validity and educational effect were evaluated by interviews and surveys with students, professors, and experts. The evaluation results show that the e-learning content was appropriately designed and was effective in learning interpersonal competency as one of NCS vocational core competencies.

The purpose of this study was to develop e-learning contents and to examine how ICT-powered instruction using the developed e-learning contents affects the science achievements of students and how the students respond to that. After an experiment in the 7th class of the weather condition unit in high school earth science, e-learning contents were prepared by using the videotaped material and flash animation to teach key learning points. The selected two different classes, experimental and control groups, shows almost the same final scores in the first semester. The experimental group received ICT-powered instruction with the contents developed in the study, and the control group received a typical expository lesson. And then the achievement test was done to these two groups, separately. The major findings of the study were as follows: As for the effects of ICT-powered instruction on the academic achievement, the average scores of the experimental group is higher than that of the control group, but the difference is insignificant. When each group was subdivided into the upper and lower groups, the upper group got higher average scores and the difference was significant. But there was no significant disparity between the lower groups. Therefore, the ICT-powered instruction using the e-learning contents gives a good effect on the students whose levels are higher than the average. In the questionaike about the ICT instruction, they generally had a positive opinion about its impact on learning interest and class participation and its learning effects.

With rapid developments in technology and communications' many teachers are increasingly exposed to a variety of e-Learning environments that they must develop new competencies and skills to be successful e-Learning teachers. The purpose of this training program, sponsored by HRD Korea (Human Resources Development Services of Korea), is to provide e-Learning teachers with meaningful opportunities for promoting quality e-Learning teaching. This program covers pedagogical issues as well as technical and practical aspects of the e-Learning environments. Before starting the program development the survey and the current e-Learning program assessments were conducted. The training program is divided into three modules as follows: 1) theoretical issues of e-Learning, 2) development of e-Learning contents, and 3) implementation of e-Learning environments. These three modules can be selectively reorganized in response to teacher requirements and demands. ln each module, there are five subtopics that include creative teaching and interaction strategies for promoting the effective e-Learning teaching. ln conclusion, teachers will gain greater understanding of teacher roles in e-Learning instruction, more flexibility in teaching jobs, increased confidence and knowledge to act as e-Learning facilitators through the completion of this training program.
