Review of BLAC Motor and Drive Technology for Electric Power Steering of Vehicles (자동차용 EPS의 BLAC 모터 및 제어기술의 고찰)

  • The Electric Power Steering (EPS) has been applied to the vehicles due to its better fuel efficiency, better steering feel, and the compact volume compared to the hydraulic power steering. The brushed PM (Permanent Magnet) DC motors had been adopted in most of the EPS systems until several years ago due to its easy control and a simple hardware configuration of the power converter, but nowadays the BLAC (Brushless AC) motor is becoming more popular for the EPS system because of its high efficiency and long lifetime. This paper reviews the configuration of the EPS system and the BLAC motor and drive technologies based on the papers published recently. The torque ripple reduction for steering feel and the fault detection algorithms for safety are also reviewed.

  • 이 논문은 단상 외전형 브러시리스 모터의 권선 인덕턴스를 해석적인 방법으로 산정하고 실험결과와 비교하였다. 모터의 초기 설계단계에서 사용하는 자기회로해석은 매우 유용하고, 인덕턴스는 자기회로해석에서 중요한 파라미터이다. 회전자계의 영향은 쇄교 자속으로 표현할 수 있고 자속 쇄교수는 인덕턴스에 비례하기 때문이다. 따라서 모터의 특성해석을 위해서 인덕턴스 산정은 매우 중요하다. 해석적인 방법으로 권선 인덕턴스를 산정하였고 회전자의 영향을 무시하였다. 그리고 LCR 미터와 전류 변화법으로 각각 권선 인덕턴스를 측정하였다. 해석값과 전류 변화법으로 측정한 권선 인덕턴스는 비슷하였다. 이 논문에서 제시한 권선 인덕턴스의 해석적인 산정방법은 모터의 초기 설계단계에서 자기회로해석으로 특성을 해석하는 데 도움이 될 것이다.

Automobile Power Seat Using Motor Current Profile Control Technology (모터 전류 형상 제어 기술을 적용한 차량용 전동 시트)

  • Seat of automobile is required to support the comfort to driver and passenger during the driving. The control method of the seat position is changed from manual type to power type, which means using the motor to increase the comfort of the driver. By using the motor, several problems, such as vibration, noise, and over-current, appeared. These problems can be reduced through the control of seat motor. In this study, a control technology of four control variables, which determine profile of the input voltage applying to the seat motor, is proposed to generate the current profile having soft-start and soft-stop. The current flowing through the coil by input voltage is described by mathematical modeling of power seat. It is confirmed that optimized current profile having soft-start and soft-stop can be generated from simulation using the mathematical model.

  • 본 논문에서는 싱글전류센서를 이용하여 브러시리스 직류 전동기의 속도제어시스템 시뮬레이션 방법 및 그 결과을 제시한다. BLDC 전동기 제어에 매우 중요한 역할을 가지고 있는 피드백 센서 방식으로 싱글 전류검출센서를 이용한 속도제어 방법은 모터 설계의 비용을 낮추고, 심플한 제어기 설계를 가능하게 한다. 또한, 전동기에 손상을 줄 수 있는 오류조건을 감지함으로서 신뢰성을 향상시켜 줄 수 있다. 시뮬레이션에 사용하는 BLDC 전동기는 3상 Y결선 전동기를 모델로 하며 MATLAB/SIMULINK를 사용한 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 그 성능을 분석하였다.

  • This paper proposes a novel efficiency measurement method without dynamometer. In case of small motor, the measurement of efficiency is not easy because the percentage of mechanical loss is comparably huge and the mechanical loss is not easy to be measured. In this paper, the authors proposes a method which can measure the efficiency with two test motors. This method can be useful to engineers who study small electrical motors.

  • 본 논문은 BLDCM의 센서리스 운전에 관한 것으로 운전속도에 따라 인버터 스위칭 주파수를 적절히 가변함으로서 넓은 속도범위에 서 운전성능과 효율을 개선시켜 센서리스 운전을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법을 제시하였으며 실험을 통하여 유용성을 입증하였다.

  • In this paper a adaptive backstepping control scheme is proposed for control of a do motor driving a one-link manipulator. Fuzzy logic systems are used to approximate the unknown nonlinear function including the parametric uncertainty and disturbance throughout the entire electromechanical system. A compensation controller is also proposed to estimate the bound of approximation error. Thus the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop control system can be obtained. Numerical simulations are included to show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

  • In this paper, an implementation approach of Fuzzy Position Controller for DC servo motor which requires the faster and more accurate dynamics is presented. Fuzzy position controller implemented with 80286 microprocessor and DT 2801 board consists of an adjustment routine of optimal scale factors and a Fuzzy inference routine of optimal control signals. Comparison to conventional PD controllers, the control performances of proposed Fuzzy controller such as reaching time, overshoot, and disturbance adaptability are substantially improved.

  • Liner DC motors are widely used for servo-actuator, which would be applied for semiconductor equipments and precise machining systems. we have been developed linear DC motor with high speed, acceleration and position accuracy. From performance test, the position accuracy. From performance test, the position and repeatability accuracy were able to be controlled with 10 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and $\pm$1 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, respectively. The highest acceleration and speed were obtained 3 G and 2m/sec, respectively. Static thrust force was 270N, and then error was 25%.
