환경교육용 보드게임 디자인 활동이 고등학생들의 환경적 지식, 환경 소양과 창의 공학적 문제해결 성향에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Board Game Design Activity for Environmental Education on High School Students' Environmental Knowledge, Environmental Literacy and Creative Engineering Problem Solving Propensity)

  • 본 연구는 환경교육용 보드게임 디자인 활동을 개발하고, 이 활동이 고등학생들의 환경 개념적 지식, 환경 소양 및 창의 공학적 문제해결성향에 미치는 영향을 조사한 것이다. 환경동아리에 소속된 25명의 고등학고 1, 2 학년 학생들이 연구에 참여 하였다. 보드게임 디자인 활동은 총 10차시 수업으로 공학적 설계에 기반하여 개발되었다. 연구의 주요 데이터는 환경 주제(기후온난화와 생태계 파괴)에 관한 학생들의 지식을 측정하기 위해 실시된 사전-사후 개념도와 환경 소양 측정지 및 창의적 공학적 문제해결성향 측정지이다. 연구 결과 환경교육용 보드게임 디자인 활동을 수행한 후 학생들이 제시한 개념도의 환경관련 단어의 개수가 지식 영역에서 증가한 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 환경 소양측정지와 창의공학적 문제해결성향 측정지의 평균도 사전에 비해 사후에 유의미하게 증가하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 보드게임을 활용한 수업 방법이 학생들이 다양한 역량을 기를 수 있도록 돕는다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이와 같이 보드게임과 중등 교육을 접목한 연구는 활성화되어야 하며 이를 현장에 적용하기 위해 현직 교사들의 새로운 교육 방식에 대한 교육과 지원이 필요하다.

신자유주의적 도시화와 기업주의 도시 프로젝트 (Neoliberal Urbanization and Projects of Entrepreneurial City)

  • 신자유주의화 과정이 우리 사회 전반에 영향을 미치고 있음에도 불구하고, 신자유주의적 도시화와 이를 추동하는 도시 전략, 즉 기업주의 도시 프로젝트에 대한 관심이 매우 부족하다. 본 연구는 기업주의 도시의 개념을 매개로 신자유주의화 과정과 최근 도시화 및 도시 정책들의 특성 간 관련성을 이해하고, 우리나라에서 이와 관련된 주요 사례들을 분석하고자 한다. 기업주의 도시는 신자유주의화 과정을 특징지우는 민영화와 상품화, 금융화, 국가의 재분배, 위기의 관리 조작에 조응하여 재개념화될 수 있으며, 특히 2가지 주요 특징으로 '창조적 파괴' 와 '기업주의적 거버넌스'를 지적할 수 있다. 우리나라에서 이러한 기업주의 도시 프로젝트의 사례로 수도권의 주택 및 토지 가격 변동성과 이를 촉발했던 도시재개발(특히 뉴타운)사업, 인천 등에서 진행되고 있는 경제자유구역 건설 사업, 대구를 포함하여 전국적으로 프로젝트 파이낸싱에 의존한 민자투자 사회간접시설 건설 사업, 그리고 도시의 이미지를 제고시킬 뿐만 아니라 암묵적으로 이를 통해 역외 자본의 투입을 촉진하고자 하는 부산과 광주의 비엔날레와 같은 도시 문화판촉 사업 등이 분석되었다.

Fold 건축 특성 분석에 따른 Issey Miyake 패션의 Fold 특성 (Issey Miyake fashion's fold characteristics through fold architecture)

  • This study examines the formative characteristics of Fold architecture and how its properties are shown in the fashion of the modern work of Issey Miyake through analysis. In this research, the Fold classification criteria for analysis features that appeared in Issey Miyake fashion features were established through research literature on Fold architecture and leading research. Empirical data collection was conducted for Issey Miyake's work and collection by collecting photo materials, and design concepts and the results are analyzed in terms of features. Study ranges of Issey Miyake's creative design development are Pleats Please, A-POC, 132.5 project, and collections from 2000 to 2014. The conclusion is as follows. First, design concepts presented in the Issey Miyake fashion features of Fold are Hybrid, topology, and uncertainty. Hybrid look for the meaning of fashion, which is the interaction between the wearer and garments. The concept of topology designs clothing, focusing on interrelationship of the body and clothing, and pays no attention to absolute size or the form of the clothing. The concept of uncertainty is an uncertain form that is infinitely expandable because all the elements have openness and uncertainty due to the determined incomplete state by the creator. Second, in the results presented in the Issey Miyake fashion features is the destruction of the boundary and diagram form. The destruction of the boundary is free from traditional clothing. The diagram form is a geometric form which does not create a Dart or Princess line.

전쟁영화에서 초록의 색채표현과 파토스 (Pathos of Color Green Expressed in Korean War Films)

  • War films are a general term for films that have battlefields as their main background. Although war films as a genre directly deal with combat situations, they also deal with characters or subjects related to war. War films promote patriotism and nationalism, but they also argue against war by highlighting the disastrous war. This study is based on the color theory that the meaning of film color is temporarily and infinitely generated according to the cultural differences, with Eisenstein's creative theory on film color and pathos. I wanted to clarify the pathos effect and the meaning of color green expressed in the Korean war films. In war films, colors are visualized in art forms such as symbols, similes and metaphors. In war films, color green symbolizes life. On the battlefield, the green of nature stands against the catastrophic situation. The green of ecology, which insists on the flow of life, evokes fear in ecological crises such as war, disaster and climate change. The dark green caused by a catastrophe like war warns of the destruction of life. The connotation of color is temporarily and infinitely expands according to the cultural differences. The dark green, which visualizes the battlefield of destruction, is a form and element of pathos that indicates changes in emotions such as sadness, pity, grief and despair. Pathos as an emotional appeal is a leap from the quality to the quality of the means of expression and refers to the departure from Dasein. The green color that dominates the visuals of war films is a symbol of life and functions as a pathos that makes emotional changes take a new leap. A qualitative leap through pathos means all changes that become new.

톰 브라운의 컬렉션에 나타난 패러디 (Parody Expressed in Thom Browne's Collection)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept and characteristics of parody, and consider how parody was reflected in Thom Browne's collection centering on the expressive method. Thus, this study will attempt to shed new light on the creative possibility and artistic value of parody in men's fashion design. The methods are as follows. The ideas, characteristics and expressive methods that represent parody was considered by referencing various related books, papers, art critiques, etc. Based on this theoretical study, a case of Thom Browne's collection (Thom Browne menswear: 2004 S/S-2012 F/W) was observed to find types of parody, attributes and significance. Photo material was collected through websites such as www.thombrowne.com, www.style.com, etc. The type and characteristics of parody expressed in Thom Browne's collection was considered in the following aspects: imitative parody, critical parody and pastiche parody. Through such consideration, it was possible to realize the fashion designs that adapt Thom Browne's parody are very deliberate and calculative. The designs convey exaggeration, destruction of form, emphasis on discontinuity, transition into attraction, aesthetics of unfamiliarity, characteristic aspects of irrationality and contradiction. Through the study, it was possible to see Thom Browne's collection with parody adaptation shaping new creativity and broadening formative aspects in fashion design.

현대패션에 나타난 크로스오버 디자인 분석 - 광고 이론의 적용을 중심으로 - (The Analysis on the Crossover Design in Current Fashion - Focusing on Comparing Advertisement -)

  • In the modern society, the crossover phenomenon has appeared increasing the value of creative brands as concepts contrary or heterogeneous are combined with each other by the flow of diversified societies and cultures. This research covers the use of crossover design in current fashion. To analyze the crossover design in current fashion, crossover design were collected and analyzed from a Collection TV program(Seoul: Dong Ah TV) and an Internet Web site(www.samsungdesign.net) from 2007 to 2010. The information obtained from the current fashion is compared with the advertisement area; by making this comparison we will make an analysis to determinate the crossover elements organized in 5 groups: extension and reduction, breakaway and destruction, fusion and combination, overlap and repetition, adjacent and similarity. This 5 crossover elements were analyzed in current fashion with the purpose of seeing how crossover elements are available in fashion field. Therefore, this study can offer invaluable suggestions for multifaceted research on how to come up with design concepts which apply crossover element to current fashion.

자포니즘 모드의 시원(始原)과 전개(展開) (The Beginning and Development of Japonism in Mode)

  • The term Japonism was coined in France where the predilection for Japanese art forms was immediately apparent, influencing Impressionism, Symbolism, Post-Impressionism, and later the Art Nouveau movement, all of which reflect aspects of Japanese art adapted to Western style. The 1968 May Revolution in Paris changed traditional thinking and shifted the center of fashion of the 1970's from haute couture to pret-a porter. At about the same time, having recovered from the destruction of war, Japan started to emerge as a leading economic force. The Japanese clothing designers, who were inspired by their own traditions, began to present their collections in the West. Hanae Mori's dresses with Japanese floral motifs were the first to appear. The West was captivated by the colorfully layered clothing of Kenzo Takada inspired by peasant and working class kimonos. And Issey Miyake was acclaimed for his innovative concepts of ‘one piece of cloth'. In the 1980s Rei Kawakubo and Yohji Yamamoto achieved recognition with their deconstructivist and minimalist approaches to fashion. The clothing proposed by these Japanese designers has transcended not only national and sexual boundaries, but also those of accepted materials in which to work. These designs suggest new possibilities and are unrestricted by preconceived ideas of kimono or of Western clothing. The emergence of Japanese designers as a powerful creative force in the late twentieth century has created a new dimension to the term Japonism in fashion. By integrating the clothing traditions of the West and Japan, while at the same time departing from them, a new international genre of clothing has been created.

트랜스미디어 시대에서 에디큐레이션의 의미에 대한 연구 - 출판 및 만화 콘텐츠를 중심으로 - (Study on the meaning of Edi-curation in Trans-media era - Based on the comic(webtoon) and publishing content -)

  • 인터넷 및 디지털 미디어의 환경에서 미디어 수용자는 동일 콘텐츠를 다양한 플랫폼으로 이용하고 있다. 이처럼 여러 장르의 콘텐츠가 디지털 미디어의 기반에서 융합, 조합, 변형, 분화, 복제 등의 과정을 거치면서 새로운 콘텐츠의 형태로 전환되는 것을 트랜스미디어라고 한다. 트랜스미디어 시대에서 성공하는 콘텐츠를 만들기 위해서는 에디큐레이션의 작업이 필요하다. 에디큐레이션은 큐레이터의 큐레이션 작업에 편집과 의미를 부가하는 작업 행위이다. 그런 점에서 이 논문은 트랜스미디어 시대에서 출판 및 만화 콘텐츠의 에디큐레이션에 대한 정의와 의미를 분석했다. 에디큐레이션은 디지털 미디어 환경에서 콘텐츠의 생산자가 곧 소비자며, 소비자가 곧 생산자인 프로컨슈머/프로듀저를 유도하는 역할을 담당하는 프로세스다. 디지털 플랫폼과 디바이스의 다양화, 디지털 1인(혹은 SNS) 미디어의 등장 등은 출판 및 만화 콘텐츠에도 다양한 방식의 에디큐레이션을 요구한다. 미디어 생산자(혹은 수용자)의 의도에 따라 콘텐츠는 복제, 짜깁기, 분해, 해체, 하이퍼텍스트, 압축, 재구성 등의 과정을 거쳐서 새로운 콘텐츠로 탄생한다. 이처럼 에디큐레이션의 작업을 거친 출판 및 만화 콘텐츠는 미디어 생산자의 작업 방식은 물론, 미디어 수용자의 콘텐츠 독법에도 영향을 미친다는 점에서, 트랜스미디어 시대의 에디큐레이션은 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 출판 콘텐츠에서 에디큐레이션 작업은 챕터나 단락의 논리성 파괴, 구어체의 문장, 카드 뉴스의 활용, 동영상 및 미디어 콘텐츠의 변형 등이 있으며, 만화 콘텐츠에서는 칸의 파괴, 말풍선, 의성어, 의태어의 다양한 변형 등을 들 수 있다.

Secondary human impacts on the forest understory of Ulleung Island, South Korea, a temperate island

  • Oceanic islands are biologically important for their unique assemblages of species and high levels of endemism and are sensitive to environmental change because of their isolation and small species source pools. Habitat destruction caused by human landscape development is generally accepted as the main cause of extinction on islands, with exotic species invasion a secondary cause of extinction, especially on tropical islands. However, secondary impacts of human development (e.g., general degradation through resource use and exotic species introduction) are understudied on temperate islands. To determine secondary impacts of human development on the understory vegetation community, 90 field sites on Ulleung Island, South Korea, were sampled during the summer of 2016. Understory vegetation was chosen as it is a proxy for ecosystem health. Diversity and percent cover of introduced, native, and endemic species were tested against proximity to developed areas and trail usage using a model selection approach. Diversity was also tested against percent cover of three naturalized species commonly found in survey plots. The main finding was that distance to development, distance to town, and trail usage have limited negative impacts on the understory vegetation community within best-supported models predicting native and introduced cover and diversity. However, endemic species cover was significantly lower on high usage trails. While there are no apparent locally invasive plant species on the island at the time of this study, percent cover of Robinia pseudoacacia, a naturalized tree species, negatively correlated with plot diversity. These findings indicate that forests on Ulleung Island are not experiencing a noticeable invasion of understory vegetation, and conservation efforts can be best spent preventing future invasions.

프라이 오토(Frei Otto)의 건축에 나타난 생태학적 공간특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Charactertics of Ecological Architectural Space of Frei Otto)

  • In the process of modermization the problem of environment destruction has become a worldwide issue. And now this problem is a concern for all branches of science, including that of architectural desigv. This thesis tries to find the meaning of ecological architectural space, one that encreases the organic relationship, and communication, between architectrual space and urban environmental space, between human beings and architecture, and between human beings and their environment. As an example, we will take a look at the architectural space-design of Frei Otto, who offers diverse creative ecological architectural forms. His concept of architecture has the critical character when compared with the traditionan conventional concept of architecture. The ecological characteristics of his architectural spacedesign can be summarized as follows: The first characteristic is his ample use of natural objects in the architectural structure. An ample use of living things like trees and plants as well as of inanimate thing like water, wind as architectural elements enhances the functional efficiency of architecture. The second characteristic is its ecological architectural system, which saves energy faciliates ventilation by changing the position and direction of the building, by systematically applying the materials, and by efficiently arranging the inner space. The third characteristic is the dematerialization of architecture and the use of materials that are economical and appropriate for the circulation system of nature. The use of natural elements and recycling natural objects, makes it possible to reuse materials of the destroyed building. In short, the ecological architecture of Frei Otto, which shows the relation between human beings and architecture, presents diverse possibilities of the archtectural space as a complex natural system, which is more than a simple combination of separatge elements.
