메타버스 융복합 공간의 재창조를 위한 전략 (Strategies for Recreation of Metaverse Convergence Space)

  • 본 논문에서는 메타버스 융복합 공간의 재창조를 통해 다양하게 확장될 수 있는 메타버스 공간의 잠재적 가능성에 대해 고찰하였다. 특히, 메타버스 공간의 새로운 개념 정립, 기술과 인문 융합의 학제 간 연구 모델 및 전략 수립을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 메타버스 공간의 특징 분석을 통해 현재 간과하고 있는 문제점을 드러내고 전문가 심층 인터뷰를 통해 이를 극복 할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 이와 같은 학제 간 연구는 중장기적으로 메타버스 융복합 콘텐츠 산업의 활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 따라서, 이번 연구를 계기로 이푸 투안의 개념을 통해 재해석한 메타버스 공간이 의미 있는 삶의 장소이자 창조공간으로서의 실질적인 구현에 이를 수 있기를 기대한다.

Investigation of the Regulatory Effects of Saccharin on Cytochrome P450s in Male ICR Mice

  • Saccharin, the first artificial sweetener, was discovered in 1879 that do not have any calories and is approximately 200~700 times sweeter than sugar. Saccharin was the most common domestically produced sweetener in Korea in 2010, and it has been used as an alternative to sugar in many products. The interaction between artificial sweeteners and drugs may affect the drug metabolism in patients with diabetes, cancer, and liver damage, this interaction has not been clarified thus far. Here, we examined the effects of the potential saccharin-drug interaction on the activities of 5 cytochrome P450 (CYPs) in male ICR mice; further, we examined the effects of saccharin (4,000 mg/kg) on the pharmacokinetics of bupropion after pretreatment of mice with saccharin for 7 days and after concomitant administration of bupropion and saccharin. Our results showed saccharin did not have a significant effect on the 5 CYPs in the S9 fractions obtained from the liver of mice. In addition, we observed no differences in the pharmacokinetic parameters of bupropion between the control group and the groups pretreated with saccharin and that receiving concomitant administration of saccharin. Thus, our results showed that saccharin is safe and the risk of saccharin-drug interaction is very low.

창의적인 디지털 컨텐츠 개발을 위한 교육 (The Creative Education for Digital Contents Production)

  • 21세기에는 창의성이 국가경쟁력이라고 불리울 만큼 창의성이 중요한 화두로 떠오르고 있다. 특히, 성장 가능성이 가장 많은 분야 중의 하나인 문화 산업의 경우에는 창의성이 성공여부를 가름하는 가장 핵심적인 요소임에도 불구하고, 창의적인 기획력 부재를 절감하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 창의성은 누구나가 가지고 있는 특질이며, 창의적인 사고의 태도를 훈련함으로서 개발되어질 수 있다. 대부분의 대학에서 디지털 컨텐츠 분야를 디자인 분야로 분류하면서 조형적인 측면의 창의성이 강조된 교육이 주로 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 디지털 컨텐츠 분야는 인문사회적인 기획력, 예술적인 표현력 그리고 과학적인 기술력의 결합을 통해 문제해결중심의 창의적인 사고를 필요로 하는 학문이다. 단순한 지식과 기술의 습득을 넘어 교육을 통한 확산적 사고 그리고 창의적인, 비판적인 사고를 개발하고 나아가 창의적인 문제해결적 사고를 개발하여야 한다. 또한 개인의 창의성뿐만 아니라 팀웍 또는 조직에서의 창의성을 향상시킬 수 있는 사고 개발이 교육을 통하여 이루어져야 한다. 환경적인 측면으로는 한국적인 사회, 문화의 특성을 고려한 창의성 교육이 이루어져야 할 것으로 보인다. 따라서 향후에는 개인, 조직 및 환경의 다각적인 측면에서의 보다 구체적인 창의성 개발을 위한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.

초등과학영재의 창의적 두뇌 활성화를 위한 과학과 미술 통합 교수-학습 프로그램 개발 (Development of Integrated Science and Art Teaching-Learning Programs for the Improvement of Creative Brain Activity of Scientifically Gifted Elementary School Student)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop science and art integrated program to improve the creativity of scientifically gifted elementary school students. This study was to develop science and art integrated program to enhance the creativity of these subjects. This program was consisted of 30 lessons covering 10 topics. It was developed of five stages including the observation stage reflecting the characteristics of the right hemisphere relevant to creativity, the interest and curiosity stage, the experiment design and performing stage, the internalization stage, and the stage of expressing arts. This program was applied to 20 senior gifted students in Y Elementary School in Gyeonggi province. Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking(TTCT) was used in order to investigate and measure the effectiveness of the program before and after its use in class. The results of this study are as follows: First, this program showed results of significant improvement of creativity of scientifically gifted elementary school students after its use in class(p<.05). Second, it was significantly effective in increasing their creativity, especially in the subdomains such as originality, abstractness of title, and territory of resistance on hasty conclusions after its use in class(p<.05). Third, it was significantly effective to increase the Creativity Index that represents creative potential(p<.01). In particular, emotional expression, internalized visualization, unique visualization, and richness of the imagery emerged. This study implies that the science and art integrated program was closely related to the right hemisphere of the features enabling the subjects to create new ideas, new things, and new reactions. In addition, this program is expected to contribute to activate the brain areas of creativity for gifted students in the science field.

로봇 활용 알고리즘 학습 프로그램 (An Algorithm Learning Program with Robot)

  • 본 연구에서는 중학생의 알고리즘 학습을 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 도구로 교육용 로봇을 선택하고 로봇의 활용 효과를 최대화하기 위한 교수 학습 프로그램을 개발하였다. 해당 프로그램은 알고리즘 학습에 대한 내적 동기 유발 및 창의적 문제해결력 향상을 위한 교수 학습 전략을 반영하여 구성하였으며, 중학교 학습자의 인지적 발달 특성과 알고리즘 학습을 처음 접하는 초보 학습자라는 특성을 반영하였다. 개발한 프로그램을 실제 중학교 학습자들에게 적용한 결과, 로봇 활용 알고리즘 학습을 수행한 집단이 일반 프로그래밍 언어를 활용한 알고리즘 학습을 수행한 집단에 비해 내적 동기와 창의적 문제해결성향이 유의하게 높게 나타났음을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 향후 새로운 교육과정이 시행될 경우, 중학생의 알고리즘 학습을 위한 교수 학습 도구의 선정 및 교수 학습 설계에 유용한 방향을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다.

중학생을 위한 창의적 재량활동 프로그램 요구도 (Analysis of Demand for Creative Discretionary Activity in the Middle School)

  • 이 연구는 가정과 교사들에게 창의적 재량활동 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 서울시내 중학생 521명을 대상으로 실시 하였다. 청소년 발달 특성을 기초한 자기 자신에 대한 이해, 진로 탐색, 가족 관계,동료간의 우정, 성에 대한 이해, 예절 영역의 요구도 척도를 개발하여 조사 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생을 대상으로 창의적 재량활동 범교과 학습에 대하여 자기 자신에 대한 이해, 진로 탐색이 가장높은 요구도를 보였으며 다음으로 가족관계, 동료 간의 우정, 청소년의 부적응, 예절, 성에 대한 이해 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 창의적 재량활동 범교과 학습 요구도의 문항내용을 분석해본 결과 자기 자신에 대한 이해 영역의 모든 문항과 나의 잠재 능력 찾기, 나의 적성에 대하여 알아보기 등이 4점 이상의 높은 요구도를 나타내었다. 아울러 3.5점 이상을 나타낸 것은 나의 흥미 알아보기, 변화하는 사회와 직업, 새로운 직업 건전한 직업 가치관, 삶의 목표, 나의 미래 모습, 가족 간의 사랑 일깨우기, 생활 속의 예절 등이다. 셋째, 사회인구학적인 변인에 따른 중학교 2학년 학생들의 창의적 재량활동 범교과 학습 요구도를 알아본 결과 성별, 가족유형, 경제수준 등에 따라 유의미한 차이를 나타내었다.

Direct characterization of E2-dependent target specificity and processivity using an artificial p27-linker-E2 ubiquitination system

  • Little attention has been paid to the specificity between E2 and the target protein during ubiquitination, although RING-E3 induces a potential intra-molecular reaction by mediating the direct transfer of ubiquitin from E2 to the target protein. We have constructed artificial E2 fusion proteins in which a target protein (p27) is tethered to one of six E2s via a flexible linker. Interestingly, only three E2s (UbcH5b, hHR6b, and Cdc34) are able to ubiquitinate p27 via an intra-molecular reaction in this system. Although the first ubiquitination of p27 (p27-Ub) by Cdc34 is less efficient than that of UbcH5b and hHR6b, the additional ubiquitin attachment to p27-Ub by Cdc34 is highly efficient. The E2 core of Cdc34 provides specificity to p27, and the residues 184-196 are required for possessive ubiquitination by Cdc34. We demonstrate direct E2 specificity for p27 and also show that differential ubiquitin linkages can be dependent on E2 alone.

The Effect of Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester (CAPE) on Phagocytic activity of septic Neutrophil in vitro

  • Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) is an active component of propolis obtained from honeybee hives. CAPE possesses anti-mitogenic, anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory activities in diverse systems, which know as displays antioxidant activity and inhibits lipoxygenase activities, protein tyrosine kinase, and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) activation. This study aimed to investigate the effect of CAPE on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced human neutrophil phagocytosis. Human neutrophils were cultured with various concentrations of CAPE (1, 10, and 100 µM) with or without LPS. The pro-inflammatory proteins (tumor necrosis factor-alpha [TNF-α], interleukin [IL]-6 and IL-8) levels were measured after 4 h incubation. To investigate the intracellular signaling pathway, we measured the levels of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK), including phosphorylation of p38, extracellular signal-regulated protein kinases 1 and 2 (ERK1/2) and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK). Next, to evaluate the potential phagocytosis, neutrophils were labeled with iron particles of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs, 40 nm) for 1 h in culture medium containing 5 mg/mL of iron. The labeling efficiency was determined by Prussian blue staining for intracellular iron and 3T-wighted magnetic resonance imaging. CAPE decreased the activation of intracellular signaling pathways, including ERK1/2 and c-Jun, and expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including TNF-α and IL-6, but had no effect on the signaling pathways of p38 and cytokine IL-8. Furthermore, images obtained after mannan-coated SPION treatment suggested that CAPE induced significantly higher signal intensities than the control or LPS group. Together, these results suggest that CAPE regulates LPS-mediated activation of human neutrophils to reduce phagocytosis.

Identifying Factors Affecting Behavioral Intent of Potential and Existing N-screen Service Users

  • With recent advances in media technology, the creation of a relatively new service, N-screen, has been realized. N-screen provides seamless connections among various media and enables users to enjoy entertainment content at any time and any location. With such recent advances comes opportunity; therefore, for those N-screen service providers who have established an early edge in the ICT industry, it is imperative that they maintain this and stay ahead of the ensuing competition. In this context, the objective of this study is two-fold; first, we aim to find factors influencing the behavior of existing and potential N-screen service users, and then second, to examine the differences in how these factors operate within the two user types. The results of this study show that the perceived value and subjective norm are important influencers in both user types. However, price fairness and innovativeness are only influential on the attitude and intention of potential users, while some aspects of media usage have only significant influences on the behavior and loyalty of existing users. Based on these results, we provide some implications for both researchers and practitioners who wish to better understand the nature of N-screen users.

현대 공간에서 나타나는 베르그송의 동시성 연구 (A Study on Bergson's Simultaneity Revealed in Modern Spaces)

  • This study aims to establish the foundation for a simultaneity research, draw the potential through Bergson's simultaneity, and explore a space with the possibility of a continued change, focusing on the simultaneous process, in which physical mobility and consciousness of space last together. First, this study was focused on understanding Bergson's simultaneity, on the basis of the perspective that space needs to have more active, dynamic mobility. For understanding Bergson's simultaneity, the understanding of Bergson's duration conception, memory and perception was preceded. After that, the characteristics of simultaneity were extracted from the concepts of duration, change, memory and perception and its characteristics, which are connected to space, were analyzed. As a result, the study on simultaneity that was intensively analyzed, based on diverse cases, re-awakened the basis of value or thought, which we must aim at, in space design of the present time. This shows the possibility of another creative form that can be found in spaces of the present time and serves as the foundation to discover an essential and potential value of space in space design. Moreover, the combination of space with science, humanities, art and digital media technology demonstrated once again that there is a good possibility of approaching non-representational space that is pursued today and it is anticipated that using Bergson's simultaneity as a medium for spatial combination in their relationship would help in drawing deeper internal meaning and potential of space.
