Understanding the developmental process of a mathematics teacher's competencies in mathematical modeling: A study conducted by Jung (2023)

  • Mathematics educators have examined mathematical modeling, where students tackle authentic real-life problems and develop problem-solving strategies with a sense of agency. However, few empirical studies have been conducted to illuminate the developmental process of teachers' competencies in mathematical modeling, particularly for elementary school teachers. Scholars have noted that elementary mathematics teachers can effectively teach mathematical modeling by designing tasks that consider students' abilities and preferences. In this vein, this review paper introduces a study conducted by Jung (2023), which examines the developmental process of an elementary school mathematics teacher's competencies in mathematical modeling and how she overcame related challenges.

  • 2015 개정 수학과 교육과정에서 문제해결능력 함양을 위한 교수 학습 방법으로 수학적 모델링이 제시되면서, 국내에서 1990년 이래로 꾸준하게 연구되어 온 수학적 모델링에 관한 논의가 더욱 활발해지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 수학적 모델링의 교육적 가치와 현장 적용의 필요성을 재음미해보고자, 수학 교과 역량의 관점에서 수학적 모델링에 관한 선행 연구를 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 수학적 모델링은 수학 교과 역량 중 문제해결의 하위 요소로 제시되고는 있지만, 문제해결 뿐만 아니라 추론, 의사소통, 창의 융합, 정보 처리, 태도 및 실천을 지지하는 교수 학습 방법임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 측면에서, 수학 교과 역량에서의 수학적 모델링의 위치에 대한 논의의 필요성과 학교 현장 적용을 위한 방안으로 수학적 모델링에 대한 교사 교육 및 수학 교과서와 수업에서 수학적 모델링 과제의 적극적인 활용을 제안하였다.

인테리어 리모델링 사업에서 영업사원의 핵심역량 모델 개발 - LG하우시스를 중심으로 - (Developing a Competence Model for Salespeople in Interior Remodeling Business - Focus on LG HAUSYS -)

  • Recently, competition in the interior remodeling business is fierce. However, the interior remodeling business is basically B2B, and in this business, sales are basically dictated by the capabilities of salespeople. Therefore, in this study, we intend to develop a model for the core competency of salespeople in the interior remodeling business. To this end, based on the research on the existing competency and competency modeling, the competency model of the salesperson was derived using Dubois' overlay method. A total of 12 core competencies could be defined through the first and second modeling. The subject of this study was focused on LG Hausys, the most representative interior remodeling company in Korea. Based on the core competencies developed in this way, overall sales competencies can be raised through the development of a training course to enhance the sales competencies of salespeople, and a more efficient and objective HR.

패션디자이너 역량모델링 구축 (Fashion Designer Competency Modeling)

  • This study started with the need for transition to competency-based education as well as the witness of fast changes in fashion industry's job environment. The goals of this study were (1) to explore fashion designers' competencies that are necessary for a successful careers in global fashion industry, and (2) to establish fashion designer competency model. In-depth individual interviews were conducted with 15 participants who have charged for design department and moreover have shown high performance in national, licence or designer brands in Korea fashion industry. Grounded theory was adopted to analyze data. As a result of analysis, the 4 core competencies emerged: problem-solving, research, inter-personal, and self-development. Each core competency has sub-competencies. Creativity, commerciality, control, decision making were sub-competencies for the problem-solving competency. Information management, innovation understanding & application, trend analysis & forecasting were sub-competencies for the research competency. Consumer, inside company, and outside company relationships were sub-competencies for the inter-personal competency. Self-awareness, self-management, expertise were sub-competencies for the self-development competency. In order to acquire these competencies, knowledge (academic, practical, multi-discipline), skills (sense, analysis, synthesis, communication), and attitude (interest, enjoyment, perseverance, personality) were essential. Based on these findings, implications for university fashion design education and further research areas were suggested.

역량기반 간호교육과정을 위한 핵심역량 모델링 (Modeling Core Competencies in the Competency-based Nursing Curriculum)

  • 본 논문은 간호사의 역량을 규명하고, 전체 간호업무의 80%를 통제할 수 있는 20%의 핵심간호역량을 도출하여 이를 기반으로 하는 간호교육과정 개발을 위한 간호역량을 모델링하기 위해 시도되었다. 각종 역량 관련 문헌고찰을 통하여 역량기반 교육과정, 역량 및 간호역량의 개념을 확인하고, 간호역량의 개념에 부합하는 각종 간호역량을 열거 및 유목화 하여 이들 간의 관계를 규명하였다. 또한 각종 역량 모델링의 방법을 검토하여 이를 토대로 역량기반 간호교육과정에 고유한 핵심역량 모델의 예시적 개념 지도를 제시하였다. 역량기반 간호교육과정을 위한 핵심역량은 기저역량, 실무역량, 인성역량으로 대별되고 기저역량은 전공(이론+실기)과 간호술로 역량의 기본이 된다. 실무역량은 임상적 판단, 대상자 교육, 의사소통, 환자 안전, 질 향상, 병동 및 자원 관리 등으로 구성되며 인성역량은 리더십, 책임 인식, 협력, 정책변화 대응 등으로 이루어진다. 이들은 자기주도적 학습과 비판적 사고 능력을 통하여 지속적인 순환 관계를 유지한다. 결국 이러한 역량을 가진 간호사는 지식근로자로써 자기주도적 학습자이며 전문적이고 효율적인 의사소통가이다. 간호역량을 확정시키는 후속연구가 계속되어야 하며 실제 역량기반교육과정에 적용하여 성과를 측정하고 이를 다시 반영하는 과정이 지속적으로 이루어져야 함을 제언한다.

  • The article analyzes the main theoretical approaches to the formation of managerial competencies and establishes the degree of development of the problem. The content of the concept of "managerial competence" has been clarified, to determine the structure of managerial competencies of a future specialist in the education system and indicators of the formation of managerial competencies. The organizational and pedagogical conditions necessary for the effective process of forming the managerial competencies of future specialists are revealed. The following research methods were used in the work: theoretical (analysis of regulatory documents and scientific literature on the problem under study, comparison, generalization, modeling), empirical (diagnostics of the level of formation of managerial competencies of students of the system, questioning, observation, peer review, comparative qualitative and quantitative analysis of diagnostic results the level of formation of managerial competencies).

텍스트네트워크 분석을 활용한 국내 의사 직무역량 연구동향 분석 (Research Trends on Doctor's Job Competencies in Korea Using Text Network Analysis)

  • We use the concept of the "doctor's role" as a guideline for developing medical education programs for medical students, residents, and doctors. Therefore, we should regularly reflect on the times and social needs to develop a clear sense of that role. The objective of the present study was to understand the knowledge structure related to doctor's job competencies in Korea. We analyzed research trends related to doctor's job competencies in Korea Citation Index journals using text network analysis through an integrative approach focusing on identifying social issues. We finally selected 1,354 research papers related to doctor's job competencies from 2011 to 2020, and we analyzed 2,627 words through data pre-processing with the NetMiner ver. 4.2 program (Cyram Inc., Seongnam, Korea). We conducted keyword centrality analysis, topic modeling, frequency analysis, and linear regression analysis using NetMiner ver. 4.2 (Cyram Inc.) and IBM SPSS ver. 23.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA). As a result of the study, words such as "family," "revision," and "rejection" appeared frequently. In topic modeling, we extracted five potential topics: "topic 1: Life and death in medical situations," "topic 2: Medical practice under the Medical Act," "topic 3: Medical malpractice and litigation," "topic 4: Medical professionalism," and "topic 5: Competency development education for medical students." Although there were no statistically significant changes in the research trends for each topic over time, it is nonetheless known that social changes could affect the demand for doctor's job competencies.

기업의 핵심역량 영향관계 및 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 포괄적 연구 (A Comprehensive Study on the Effect Relationship among Core Competencies and Business Performance)

  • Technology innovations have been accelerating changes across industries and intensifying competition. Enterprises are therefore required to continuously secure their internal and external competitiveness. Based on the principle that core competencies of a firm are essential to its competitiveness, many research studies have been conducted to figure out the effect of core competencies to business performance. However, individual research works considered a part of core competencies or limited to a specific industry, which means that their findings may differ when additional core competencies are included in their analysis. After re-establishing the definition of each core competency from literature review, this study comprehensively investigated the effect relationship among core competencies and business performance. Structural equation modeling and multiple regression analysis with 421 survey respondents from various industries were conducted for our empirical study.

프로젝트 스폰서 역할과 프로젝트 관리자 역량이 프로젝트 성과 품질에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Project Sponsor Roles and Project Manager Competencies on the Project Performance Quality)

  • Purpose: This paper seeks to analyze the relationship between project sponsor roles and project manager competencies which may account for project performance quality. Methods: After an extensive literature review, the structural equation modeling was conducted test the research model. The data was collected from project manager training course attendees by the questionnaire. Results: The results of structural equation modeling show that project sponsor roles effect on project manager competencies. Project manager competencies have a positive effect on project performance quality. Conclusion: The authors demonstrate that project sponsor external roles are related positively to project performance quality. And project manager professionalism has a positive effect on project manager communication. A number of significant findings are reported including the empirical verification that project sponsor roles, and project manager competencies may all be directly related to project performance quality.

EA 전문가 역량모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on Competency Model for EA Experts)

  • 본 연구는 EA 전문가의 역량을 정의하기 위해 국내외 교육과정을 살펴보고, EA 전문가의 기초적이고 공통적인 역량을 도출하였다. 특히 EA의 다양한 이해당사자들이 공통으로 참조하고 활용할 수 있는 역량을 정의하여 향후의 지속적인 발전모델의 기초로 삼고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 EA의 공통, 개발, 분석, 관리 등 4개 핵심역량을 정하여 각 역량의 정의를 제시하였으며 경력 단계별(아키텍트, 엔터프라이즈 아키텍트, 수석 아키텍트)로 역량의 중요도를 구분하였다. 본 연구결과는 EA 전문가와 정보화 담당자의 EA 이해도를 제고하고 역량을 강화하기 위한 교육과정의 표준 역량과 커리큘럼 작성에 시사점을 제공할 수 있다.
