간호 대학생의 공감 능력이 정신 질환에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of empathy ability of nursing college students on attitude toward mental illness)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 공감능력과 정신질환에 대한 태도와의 관련성을 확인하고 공감이 정신질환자에 대한 태도의 하위척도에 미치는 영향력을 파악하기 위해 시행되었다. 연구대상자는 D광역시에 소재한 간호학과에 재학중인 4학년을 대상으로 2017년 6월에 자료 수집하였으며 SPSS.19프로그램을 이용하여 통계처리 하였다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 공감능력은 정신질환자에 대한 태도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 각각의 하위척도에 미치는 공감능력의 설명력은 자비심에 18%, 권위주의에 16%, 사회생활제한 영역에 9%, 지역정신보건개념에 4%로 나타났다. 결론적으로 공감능력이 높아질수록 정신질환자에 대한 권위주의가 낮아지고 자비심은 증가되며 사회생활지원에 대해 긍정적이며 지역정신보건개념이 긍정적으로 형성되어 전반적으로 정신질환자에 대한 긍정적인 태도가 증가되는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 간호 대학생의 치료적 관계 형성을 위해 요구되는 공감 능력 함양을 위한 체계적인 교육과 훈련이 필요하며 이 같은 노력은 정신질환자에 대한 인식개선에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

정신질환에 대한 중소규모 사업장 중간관리자의 인식 및 태도 (Cognition and Attitudes toward Psychological Problems among Middle Managers in Small and Medium-sized Workplaces)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify attitudes of middle managers toward employees with psychological problems and to determine factors affecting their attitudes. Methods: A questionnaire with Community Attitudes Toward Mentally Ill (CAMI) scales was administered to 161 middle managers working in small and medium-sized enterprises based in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Results: There are four separate subscales on the CAMI. Mean score for authoritarianism was $35.0{\pm}4.4$, benevolence $23.0{\pm}4.8$, social restrictiveness $32.3{\pm}4.9$ and community mental health ideology $27.2{\pm}5.1$ According to multiple regression analysis, middle managers with no experience of learning mental illness through mass media or higher levels of depression symptom were more authoritative and less benevolent towards employees with psychological problems. The experience of meeting a patient with mental problem contribute to positive attitudes toward people with mental illnesses in social restrictiveness subscale and community mental health ideology subscale among CAMI. Conclusion: This study suggests that experience of having patients with mental problems and information on psychological problems will have great influence on attitudes of middle managers toward employees with psychological problems. It might be important to help middle manager manage their depression because their depression also affects their attitudes toward employees with psychological problems.

정신장애인 고용경험이 있는 고용주의 정신장애인 재고용 의사에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Influencing Factors on Rehiring Intentions for Mentally Disabled of Employer with Employment Experience)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that influence employer to rehire the mentally disabled. The participants of survey were 121 of employers' in Busan. Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test and logistic regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 18.0. According to this analysis, the results show that employer's rehiring intentions for the mentally disabled is a significantly related to gender, relationship with mental disabled person, industrial classification, experience of disabled employees, period of employment with mentally disabled people, subsidy for employment promotion, employment quota system, benevolence, community mental health ideology. Logistic regression analysis showed that relationship with mental disabled person, industrial classification, experience of disabled employees, period of employment with mentally disabled people, subsidy for employment promotion, employment quota system and benevolence. On the basis of results, program for encouraging employer's intention of rehiring the mentally disabled should be development and establish mediate strategies.

정신위생 교육 전·후 대학생의 정신질환자에 대한 인식과 태도 비교 (Comparative Study on the Cognition and Attitudes toward the Mentally III Person Among EMT College Student Before and After Psychiatric Nursing Course Work)

  • The purpose of the study was to compare on the cognition and attitudes toward the mentally ill person among EMT College Student before and after Psychiatric Nursing Course Work. The data was collected twice before and after Psychiatric Nursing course work during one semester 16-weeks from 71 EMT department Students. Used measurements were self-reported questionnaires about cognition and CAMI questionnaires about attitudes. Analysis of data was done by frequence, percentage and t-test with SAS program. The cognition was changed over positively after then before Psychiatric Nursing Course. Especially, It was answered that needed to learning, caring and curing for mental illness. The study of attitudes for mentally ill person was that authoritarianism, benevolence and social restrictiveness were changed over positively but community mental health ideology was not changed. In conclusion, follwing the results of this study, the psychiatric nursing course work was influenced very much to changing of attitudes and cognition toward mentally ill person. Accordingly, psychiatric nursing curriculum will be offered and psychiatric educators have to emphasize the understanding of attitudes and cognition toward mentally ill person.

고용주의 정신장애인에 대한 태도조사 (Employers Attitude for Mentally Disabled People)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate employer's attitude towards mentally disabled people. Methods: The Lee (1996)'s questionnaire of community people's attitude on perception for mentally disabled people was used to collect data from 208 employers in Busan City. ${\chi}^2$-test and t-test were used to explore related factors of employer's attitude. Results: Employers having experience of hiring physically or mentally disabled people showed higher CAMI scores (p=.002). Especially, employers having experience of hiring mentally disabled people showed higher scores in four components of authoritarianism, benevolence, social restrictiveness, and community mental health ideology than any other groups. In addition, we found differences in employers' attitude on authoritarianism and benevolence according to types of industries and the number of employees. Conclusion: We could suggest that employers experience of employing disabled and mentally disabled people could improve their positive attitude. Therefore, we call for various efforts and programs development to encourage employers to hire mentally disabled people.

자살을 시도한 젊은 여성들의 삶의 경험에 관한 페미니스트 현상학 (Feminist Phenomenology on the Life Experiences of Young Korean Women with Attempted Suicide)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to understand and describe the experiences of young Korean women with attempted suicide. Methods: The data were collected by individual interviews from four women who attempted suicide during 2008-2009. A total of 25 hours interviews were audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim. The data were analyzed using feminist phenomenology to reflect and respect the participants' view and experience as much as possible. Results: Five theme clusters and ten themes emerged from the analysis. Five theme clusters include "anger resulting from others-oriented life," "guilt resulting from selfish life," "confusion resulting from unbalanced life between self and others," "attempted suicide resulting from the chaos of life as a whole," and "peace resulting from balanced life between self and others." While these theme clusters represent the phases of life experience, ten themes indicate specific problems or strategies raised during these phases in the context of male-oriented Korean patriarchal society. Conclusion: The results of the study provide insights by deeply understanding of life of young women who attempted suicide in the Korean sociocultural context with the ideology of the subjection of women.

정신보건영역의 탈시설화에 대한 사회적 공간이론의 탐색적 적용 (An Exploration on the Applicative Potentials of the Late Modern Social Space to Deinstitutionalization of the Mental Health Field)

  • 정신장애인의 삶의 공간을 시설에서 지역사회로 전환하려는 탈시설화는 사회복지영역에서 인권과 복지라는 근대 이념을 실질적으로 구현하려는 대표적 노력이다. 이러한 이념 구현 노력은 탈시설화가 작동하는 현장인 현대사회의 사회적 공간에 대한 구체적 분석이 더해짐으로써 그 가능성과 적실성을 더 할 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 탈시설화가 구현되는 사회적 공간에 대한 구체적 분석을 통해, 인권과 복지와 같은 이념적 차원이나 탈시설화 구현의 조건 및 환경에 관한 정책 차원에서 진행된 기존 논의를 사회적 맥락으로 확장하여 조명한다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 본 논문은 우선 탈시설화와 관련된 기존 논의들을 정리하고 본 논문의 주요 분석 관점인 후기근대 사회적 공간에 대한 이론들을 살펴본다. 그리고 이를 토대로 이러한 후기근대의 사회공간의 성격이 정신장애인의 탈시설화와 맞물릴 때 어떠한 현상들이 나타나는지를 탐색적으로 살펴본다. 마지막으로 후기 근대공간에서 정신장애인의 탈시설화의 구현 노력과 관련된 연구의 함의를 제시한다.
