  • In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem for a common fixed point of two relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space by using the modified Ishikawa iteration method. Our results improved and extend the corresponding results announced by many others.

  • In this paper, first, we prove some common fixed point theorems for the generalized contraction condition under newly defined modified simulation function which generalize and include many results in the literature. Second, we give two numerical examples with graphical representations for verifying the proposed results. Third, we discuss and study a set of common fixed point theorems for two pairs (finite families) of self-mappings. Finally, we give some applications of our results in discrete and functional fractional economic systems.

  • This manuscript is divided into three segments. In the first segment, we formulate a unique common fixed point theorem satisfying generalized Meir-Keeler contraction on partially ordered metric spaces and also give an example to demonstrate the usability of our result. In the second segment of the article, some common coupled fixed point results are derived from our main results. In the last segment, we investigate the solution of some periodic boundary value problems. Our results generalize, extend and improve several well-known results of the existing literature.

  • In this paper, first we establish a unique common fixed point theorem satisfying new contractive condition on partially ordered non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces and give an example to support our result. By using the result established in the first section of the manuscript, we formulate a unique common coupled fixed point theorem and also give an example to validate our result. In the end, we study the existence of solution of integral equation to verify our hypothesis. These results generalize, improve and fuzzify several well-known results in the existing literature.

  • The probabilistic metric space as one of the important generalizations of metric space, was introduced by Menger [16] in 1942. Later, Choi et al. [6] initiated the notion of bicomplex-valued metric spaces (bi-CVMS). Recently, Bhattacharyya et al. [3] linked the concept of bicomplex-valued metric spaces and menger spaces, and initiated menger space with bicomplex-valued metric. Here, in this paper, we have taken probabilistic metric space with bicomplex-valued metric, i.e., bicomplexvalued probabilistic metric space and proved some common fixed point theorems using converse commuting mappings in this space.

  • Objectives : This study was planned to show the influences of acupuncture treatment on peroneus muscles of acute inversion ankle sprain patients. Methods : This study was carried out on the 24 patients who had been treated for their acute inversion ankle sprain from July 1 to December 31, 2010 in the department of oriental rehibilitaion medicine, Dongsuwon oriental medicine hospital. And we divided those 24 patients into 2 groups; group A took near acupuncture point needling treatment on the peroneus muscles along with common treatment, group B took common treatment only. To evaluate the efficiency of each treatment, all patients were examined with visual analogue scale(VAS) and ankle-hindfoot scale(AHS) score before treatment and after the 3rd treatment. Results : On the AHS scores, there's no significant difference between the two groups after the treatment. And on the VAS scores, group A who took near acupuncture point needling treatment on the peroneus muscles along with common treatment showed higher change of VAS than group B who took common treatment only, but it did not show statistical significance in VAS score. Conclusions : In this study, there is no significant effect between common treatment only and near acupuncture point needling treatment on the peroneus muscles along with common treatment for acute ankle sprain.

  • A novel strategy based on a zero common mode voltage pulse-width modulation (ZCMV-PWM) technique and zero-sequence circulating current (ZSCC) feedback control is proposed in this study to eliminate ZSCCs between three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) voltage source inverters, with common AC and DC buses, that are operating in parallel. First, an equivalent model of ZSCC in a three-phase three-level NPC inverter paralleled system is developed. Second, on the basis of the analysis of the excitation source of ZSCCs, i.e., the difference in common mode voltages (CMVs) between paralleled inverters, the ZCMV-PWM method is presented to reduce CMVs, and a simple electric circuit is adopted to control ZSCCs and neutral point potential. Finally, simulation and experiment are conducted to illustrate effectiveness of the proposed strategy. Results show that ZSCCs between paralleled inverters can be eliminated effectively under steady and dynamic states. Moreover, the proposed strategy exhibits the advantage of not requiring carrier synchronization. It can be utilized in inverters with different types of filter.
