  • In this paper, we study a new iterative method for solving mixed equilibrium problem and a common fixed point of a finite family of Bregman strongly nonexpansive mappings in the framework of reflexive real Banach spaces. Moreover, we prove a strong convergence theorem for finding common fixed points which also are solutions of a mixed equilibrium problem.

  • We introduce an iteration scheme for approximating common fixed points of two mappings. On one hand, it extends a scheme due to Agarwal et al. [2] to the case of two mappings while on the other hand, it is faster than both the Ishikawa type scheme and the one studied by Yao and Chen [18] for the purpose in some sense. Using this scheme, we prove some weak and strong convergence results for approximating common fixed points of two nonexpansive self mappings. We also outline the proofs of these results to the case of nonexpansive nonself mappings.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new iteration method based on the hybrid method in mathematical programming and the descent-like method for finding a common element of the solution set for a variational inequality and the set of common fixed points of a nonexpansive semigroup in Hilbert spaces. We obtain a strong convergence for the sequence generated by our method in Hilbert spaces. The result in this paper modifies and improves some well-known results in the literature for a more general problem.

  • We study one-step iteration process to approximate common fixed points of two nonexpansive mappings and prove some convergence theorems in convex metric spaces. Using the so-called condition (A'), the convergence of iteratively defined sequences in a uniformly convex metric space is also obtained.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study an implicit iteration process with errors and establish weak and strong convergence theorems to converge to common fixed points for a finite family of generalized asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings in the framework of uniformly convex Banach spaces. Our results extend, improve and generalize some known results from the existing literature.

  • In the present paper, we utilize the notion of converse commuting mappings due to L$\ddot{u}$ [On common fixed points for converse commuting self-maps on a metric spaces, Acta. Anal. Funct. Appl. 4(3) (2002), 226-228] and prove a common fixed point theorem in Menger space using an implicit relation. We also give an illustrative example to support our main result.

  • The purpose of this paper is to introduce a class of contractive pairs of mappings satisfying a Zamfirescu-type inequality, but controlled with altering distance functions and with parameters satisfying the so-called Geraghty condition in the framework of b-metric spaces. For this class of mappings we prove the existence of points of coincidence, the convergence and stability of the Jungck, Jungck-Mann and Jungck-Ishikawa iterative processes and the existence and uniqueness of its common fixed points.

  • Some strong convergence theorems of explicit iteration scheme for asymptotically nonexpansive semi-groups in Banach spaces are established. The results presented in this paper extend and improve some recent results in [T. Suzuki. On strong convergence to common fixed points of nonexpansive semigroups in Hilbert spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 131(2002)2133-2136; H. K. Xu. A strong convergence theorem for contraction semigroups in Banach spaces, Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 72(2005)371-379; N. Shioji and W. Takahashi.
