Questionnaires were distributed to 181 college women students living in the areas of Deagu Metropolitan City and Gyeongbuk Province. The data obtained were analyzed by using various statistical tools: frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression. The self efficacy of learners of practical basic sewing were made up of five factors: ability to manage interpersonal relationships, ability to deal with assigned tasks, anxiety, challenging spirit, and fear. Class satisfaction was composed of the following factors such as interest in class, professors' ability, achievement of class objectives, connectivity, preparation for class, preference for practices, and perfectibility. This study indicated the correlations between sub-variables of learners' self efficacy and class satisfaction. In other words, the higher were the levels of ability to manage interpersonal relationships, and ability to deal with assigned tasks in self efficacy, the higher were the levels of interest in class, professors' ability, achievement of class objectives, preference for practices, and perfectibility in class satisfaction. The factors of ability to deal with assigned tasks, anxiety, and challenging spirit, in learners' self efficacy were found to have statistically significant effects on the achievement of class objectives. The factor of ability to deal with assigned tasks in self efficacy had a statistically significant influence on professors' ability. The factors of ability to deal with assigned tasks, anxiety, challenging spirit and fear were found to have statistically significant effects on all the factors of class satisfaction.

  • The development of technology has enabled users to customize avatars using various combinations and appearances in MMORPG. This study investigated the loyalty and user immersion factors of MMORPG avatar customization, which included personal factors (self-esteem, self-efficacy) and environmental factors (challenging spirit, sense of unity). immersion factors were extracted and a research model was established by observing precedent studies conducted on Flow theory and on the development and transformation of avatars. This study established a theory based on a developed research model and by surveying the users of AION, a MMORPG game, who actively enjoyed avatar customization, after determining measurement items based on precedent studies. The research results showed that self-esteem, a challenging spirit and sense of unity must be enhanced to increase the customization immersion. In addition, research results showed that the degree of loyalty increased with higher customization immersion.

  • This paper suggested a plan to increase the start-up survival rate by identifying independent variables that significantly affect start-up success through analysis of the founder's internal and external factors. As a result of this study, it was found that internal factors (financial ability, risk sensitivity) and external factors (start-up environment, start-up support policy) had a direct positive (+) effect on start-up success. Meanwhile, self-efficacy for business models partially mediated the relationship between factors(financing ability, risk sensitivity, start-up environment and start-up support policies) and start-up success. Self-efficacy for business models fully mediated the relationship between factors(start-up expertise and challenge spirit) and start-up success. Finally, trust in business models partially mediated the relationship between factors(start-up expertise, risk sensitivity, and start-up support policies) and start-up success. And the trust in business models fully mediated the factors(the spirit of challenge, start-up environment) and start-up success.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the direction of librarianship by analyzing differences in Librarian and User perceptions of Librarianship Professionalism. Literature research was used to derive the components of librarianship Professionalism and to conduct surveys on librarians and users. As a result, librarians recognized expert knowledge as the most important factor, while users recognized service attitude as the most important factor. Users recognized that librarians have low social recognition due to their lack of enjoyment, enthusiasm, and challenging spirit and their ability to develop and provide services by understanding user needs and the flow of knowledge. On the other hand, librarians did not actively engage in communication or exchange with users due to their lack of expert knowledge.

  • This study is to investigate student's processes of problem solving using open-ended Geometric problems to understand student's thinking and behavior. One 8th grader participated in performing her learning in 5 lessons for June in 2006. The result of the study was documented according to Polya's four problem solving stages as follows: First, the student tended to neglect the stage of "understanding" a problem in the beginning. However, the student was observed to make it simplify and relate to what she had teamed previously Second, "devising a plan" was not simply done. She attempted to solve the open-ended problems with more various ways and became to have the metacognitive knowledge, leading her to think back and correct her errors of solving a problem. Third, in process of "carrying out" the plan she controled her solving a problem to become a better solver based on failure of solving a problem. Fourth, she recognized the necessity of "looking back" stage through the open ended problems which led her to apply and generalize mathematical problems to the real life. In conclusion, it was found that the student enjoyed her solving with enthusiasm, building mathematical belief systems with challenging spirit and developing mathematical power.
