This study was conducted to compare the self-leadership strategies and self-efficacy among the four types of career development in the Korean engineering college students. When the two variables including career decision level and career preparation behavior were considered, four different types of career development were obtained: immature, behavioral, pseudo, and ideal type. The results showed that the ideal type obtained the significantly higher scores on the self-leadership and self-efficacy scales than the other three types. The results of stepwise analysis suggested that each subtype had unique characteristics in relation to self-leadership strategies. Therefore, it would be useful to provide the engineering students with the specialized self-leadership training program based on the types of career development.
This study aimed to investigate the effects a strengths-based group counselling program had on self-esteem and career maturity of adolescents under probation. The subjects of the study were female adolescents under probation in Gwangju and were categorized into two groups: experiment group and control group consisting of 15 respectively. As a result, it was discovered that the strengths-based group counselling program had positive effects on enhancement of general and social self-esteem in the subjects while it did not have statistically significant effects on enhancement of family self-esteem. It indicates that positive relationship with parents and recovery of family functions should be encouraged to enhance the family self-esteem. Also, the strengths-based group counselling program had positive effects on planning, self-understanding, career knowledge and career preparation areas relating to career maturity while it did not have statistically significant effects on independence. It shows that to encourage the subjects to be independently prepared for career, family and society should provide more specific support for career guidance. Based on the results above, it was suggested that the strengths-based group counselling program had significant effects on self-esteem and career maturity of the subjects under probation. In conclusion, to encourage adolescents under probation to respect themselves and others, specifically plan their career and grow to be reliable and mature adults, further research on the strengths-based group counselling program is needed and diverse strategies including specific support through mentor service of college students should be developed.
The purpose of this study is to examine the level and effectiveness of youth entrepreneurship and to analyze the relationship between entrepreneurship level and career change perceptions, And suggested ways of mutual cooperation and cooperation for activating entrepreneurship education and career education. The research hypothesis is the effect of entrepreneurship on career recognition, the mediating effect of program satisfaction on entrepreneurship and career awareness, and the difference in entrepreneurship change before and after participation in the program First, all factors such as innovativeness, risk sensitivity, entrepreneurship, autonomy, achievement desire, etc., Which are components of entrepreneurship, have positive influence on career recognition. Second, the mediating effect of program satisfaction on entrepreneurship and career recognition has positive effects on innovativeness, enthusiasm, autonomy and achievement desire. However, the risk sensitivity was not significant. Third, as a result of analyzing the difference of change before and after entrepreneurship education, all components of entrepreneurship were analyzed as positive (+). Considering these findings, it is necessary to improve the current method and content of entrepreneurship education to focus on student participation and experience. Second, it is necessary to coordinate and manage entrepreneurship education councils in government ministries with various stakeholders. Third, it is expected that future-oriented education will be possible if software education, entrepreneurship education and career education are integrated and operated in preparation for the fourth industrial revolution.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence relationships among individual career orientation, preparation of old age, social networks, and the entrepreneurial intention of the potential entrepreneurs. 408 numbers of structured questionnaire were collected from the potential entrepreneurs who live in Seoul through the online Google survey method and offline face to face method. And the collected data was analyzed on frequency analysis, validity analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and regression analysis etc. using the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The results are as follows. Firstly, innovation, entrepreneurial creativity, and autonomy orientation affect on entrepreneurial intention positively(+), but security orientation has a negative(-) effect on entrepreneurial intention in the influence relationships between individual career orientation and entrepreneurial intention. Secondly, economical and emotional preparation have positive(+) influences on entrepreneurial intention in the influence relationships between individual career orientation and entrepreneurial intention. Thirdly, the sub-variables of social networks, that is, assist and role models exert a positive(+) influence on entrepreneurial intention in the influence relationships between social networks and entrepreneurial intention. Fourthly, social networks plays a moderating role only on the relationship between security orientation and entrepreneurial intention in the analysis about the moderating effects of social networks on the influence relationships among individual career orientation, preparation of old age, and entrepreneurial intention. Fifth, a social network of relationships to help prepare the old establishment has been found to help regulate effective analysis of whether or not the results of adjustment.
The purpose of this study was to identify the influences of psychological independence(functional independence and emotional independence) and career decision-making self-efficacy(self-estimation, career goal, occupational-knowledge, and problem solving) on career maturity(preparation, objective, decisiveness, and certainty) among adolescents. The subjects were 447 students in the second grade of middle school and high school in D. The questionnaire consist of measures of psychological independence, career decision-making self-efficacy, and career maturity. The data were analysed with factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, ANOVA, correlation and multiple regression by using the SPSS(SPSS/WIN 19.0) program. The major results were as follows. First, adolescents' the career maturity was significantly different depending on the socio-demographic variables. Second, it was shown that middle and high school students have a statically relation, in a relation among psychological independence, career decision-making self-efficacy, and career maturity. Third, it was found that psychological independence and career decision-making self-efficacy gave statistically meaningful influence on the career maturity of adolescents. This study is significant in that it suggests a plan for improving career maturity, and provides a basic material to improve one's active role in their parents. In addition, the results of this study can be used as a fundamental reference in career development programs and career-counseling centers at schools for enhancing adolescents' career development and success.
The present study was carried out to investigate the effects of career identity and social support on the career decision-making self-efficacy of women who have experienced career interruption. Furthermore, the aim was to seek effective measures for making a career decision for the successful re-employment of women with a break in their career. From March $3^{rd}$ to April $2^{nd}$, 2018, a survey was conducted targeting 380 career-interrupted, married women with age between 30-50 years and with work experience of more than six months. The selected subjects had received 1-9 months of beauty education from various vocational training institutes, beauty academies, and women's center in Seoul and Gyeonggi region. A total of 361 questionnaires were used for final analysis. The SPSS Program for data analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, exploratory factor analysis, factor analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were employed for the study. The results of this study are as follows. It was apparent that the establishment of a career identity and social support could play important roles in creating a relation with new career decisions for re-employment. Thus, this study aims to provide basic data necessary for the successful career preparation in women with career interruption.
The aim of this study is to reveal the relations between positive psychological capital, career planning, and job preparation activities of physical education students. To do that, pilot survey and main survey are separately conducted. At first, pilot survey is carried out in September 9, 2015 with third and fourth grade of students in D University in Kyeongbuk. Main survey is conducted with students majoring in physical education in Youngnam province except for the students who are participated in pilot survey. In main survey, 310 questionnaires are collected. However, 7 questionnaires are excluded because they are not suitable for the study, so 303 cases are used to conduct analysis of frequency. Multiple regression analysis in SPSS version 23.0 for windows statistical package program is used and the results are presented as follow; First, dynamic stability, hope, and optimism in positive psychological capital of physical education students have a positive effect on career planning. Second, optimism, dynamic stability, and self-efficacy in positive psychological capital of physical education students have positive influence on career planning. Third, the order of concreteness and challenge in career planning of psychological education students positively affect job preparation.
This study aims to understand the status of mandatory military service planning and career barrier recognition as well as to analyze the difference between how students perceive mandatory military service as a potential barrier to their future careers(career barrier recognition) and career preparation behavior by the mandatory military service planning level among male college students. For the purpose, inquiries for the subject were set up as follows. 1. What are the levels of mandatory military service planning and career barrier recognition? 2. Is there a difference in career barrier recognition depending on the level of mandatory military service planning? 3. Is there a difference in career preparation behaviour depending on the level of mandatory military service planning? This study found out the level of mandatory military service, military barrier recognition and career preparation behavior of 284 male students from 4 universities in Daejeon and Chungnam area. Along with that, descriptive statistic, correlation analysis and t-test were conducted with SPSS 17.0 program The results of this study are as follows: First, 79.2% of male students have higher mandatory military service planning than the average value. Meanwhile, considering 3 sub-factors of mandatory military service planning, the ratio of those with high scores in practicality is lower than importance and concreteness. Based on this, it is assumable that they have a low perception for practical and concrete behaviors such as data collection in mandatory military service planning, which indicates their awareness has not developed into concrete behaviors even though they recognize the importance of planning. Also 73.9% of male students responded higher career barrier recognition than the average value shows that they recognize mandatory military service as a barrier relatively highly. Especially, those who answered "Very much" (7 scores) for every inquiry in career barrier recognition accounted for 16.9%, which forms the biggest group. and considering the response by each inquiry, it is ascertained that they consider the absence by mandatory military service time or military service as the biggest difficulty. Second, the difference in career barrier recognition between the top 30% and bottom 30% of mandatory military service planning is not statistically significant. However, in terms of importance and the sub-factor of mandatory military service planning, a significant inter-group difference in career barrier recognition is shown. In other words, to join the military is recognized as an obstacle in their career barrier recognition regardless of the mandatory military service planning level. Also, a group which considers the importance of the mandatory military service planning highly recognizes the military as the bigger obstacle compared to the other groups which are not considered in this way. Third, the difference in career barrier recognition between the top 30% and the bottom 30% of the mandatory military service planning is statistically significant. The need of mandatory military service planning is marked by the fact that those with a high level of mandatory military service planning show stronger career barrier recognition than those without plans. Through the study, the need of mandatory military service planning is suggested to both male students and career consultants considering the mandatory military service from a perspective of career based on Korean reality. Also, as precedent studies on pre-inducted men can be hardly found currently, this study is significant in accumulating empirical data about mandatory military service, a unique characteristic of the Korean career development process.
This study analyzes the determinants on employment of 4-year college graduates. Data were collected from nine semesters from 2009 to 2014 totaling 4,176 engineering graduates of University ‘A’ in the capital area of Korea. Employment is analyzed on three levels reflecting the quality of employment such as total employment, preferred jobs and the top 500 companies. Eighteen variables were divided into four categories such as private attributes, curriculum activities, non-curriculum activities, and job preparation activities. The Hierarchical Logistic Regression Model was used. The results are as follows: top determinants included in each definition of employment are departments group, gender, employment program, and internship program. Also, grade points in major and basic courses were added as a result of curriculum activities. There is no statistical significance in household income, club activities and employment preparation activities. Also, the curriculum for major intensive courses and multi-majoring imposed by the university are not effective.
This study was conducted in order to raise a question regarding limitations of career guidance as career guidance programs for university students are limited to career planning and preparation and fail to deal with career management after being employed. Accordingly, it investigated the effects of career maturity, which is mainly studied among university students, on protean career attitude and effects of protean career attitude on subjective career success. To that end, this study built a research model based on the effects of career maturity and protean career attitude on subjective career success of university students and analyzed data collected from 273 university students based on the research model. The result showed that career maturity of university students had positive effects on their protean career attitude. Especially, in career maturity, planning and independence had significant effects on protean career attitude. However, in career maturity attitude, attitude toward work had negative effects. Also, protean career attitude of university students had significant effects on subjective career success. This study aimed to explain the relationship between career of university students and relevant behaviors and perception by clarifying the structural relationship among planning, independence, attitude toward work, protean career attitude, and subjective career success. Based on the results of this study, it was suggested that career management theory should be newly introduced into career guidance program of university students.
