Effects of CEO Will and Employee Resistance to Innovation of SMEs on Smart Factory Adoption (중소기업 CEO 의지 및 종업원 혁신 저항성이 스마트 팩토리 도입에 미치는 영향)

  • With the progress of the 4th industrial revolution, interest in smart factories is increasing. The government is implementing a smart factory support project for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. Therefore, in this study, factors influencing small and medium-sized enterprises(SME's) intention of smart factory acceptance were analyzed. In particular, it focused on how the perception of government support affects intention of smart factory acceptance. For the empirical analysis, a research model was established by reflecting the characteristics of SMEs and the technical factors of the smart factory centering on the technology acceptance theory. Based on the model set in this way, a questionnaire survey was conducted for employees of SMEs. In this study, a total of 231 samples of valid data were used for analysis. The empirical analysis results are as follows. It was analyzed that performance expectancy, social influence, technology utilization capability, CEO will, and employee resistance to innovation, all introduced as research variables, had a significant effect on the use intention of smart factory acceptance. In particular, it was found that employees' resistance to innovation had a negative (-) effect on their use intention. Meanwhile, to analyze the moderating effect of government support, it was divided into a group with high expectations for government support and a group with low expectations. As a result, it was found that there was a difference in the effect of CEO's will, employees' resistance to innovation, and social influence on the use intention. On the other hand, no significant difference was found in the relationship between performance expectancy, technology utilization capability on the use intention. Based on the empirical analysis results, the academic and practical implications of this study were presented.

  • In today's business environments, corporate globalization and collaboration in an industry are strongly required. In order to cope with such requirements, the industry's informationization must be made. However, compared to large-sized companies, the SMEs(small and medium-sized enterprises) have inferior capacities for their organizational information due to limited management resources. Among many factors for promoting information in SMEs, one of the most factors is CEO's intention. Thus, this paper discusses the promotion policies for infomationization in SMEs from the perspective of CEO's intention. Based upon the survey results, the paper proposes some information promotion policies for SMEs.

  • Recently, enterprise information management activities have been applied to promote electronic trade, while changing the paradigm of cross-border trade and overall trade business processes. L/C, which facilitates payment from the trade transaction in a company, has been able to eliminate the high cost and inefficient element of the trade process by utilizing the electronic letter of credit (e-L/C). This study examines the influential relationship among the e-trade utilizing factor (such as the perceived ease of use and the volition of CEO), the e-L/C and corporate performance, and the study aimed to verify the moderating effect of customer service level by organizations utilizing e-trade. For the purpose of the research, we conducted a survey implementing the e-L/C and analyzed the 338 data collected. The results of this research are as follows. First, the perceived ease of use and volition of CEO have positive impact on the e-L/C. Second, the e-L/C has positive impact on the business performance. Third, a moderating effect shows on the customer expectation level. The main implication of this study is that the perceived ease of use is to be considered preferentially than the volition of CEO in order to utilize electronic trading, and the volition of CEO shows synergy effect with customer service level by organization utilizing e-trade.

A Study on Factors Affecting ESG Management Intentions of Small and Medium Enterprises : Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Attitude and the Moderating Effect of Employees' Innovation Resistance (중소기업 ESG 경영 도입의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 : 태도의 매개효과 및 종업원 혁신저항성의 조절효과)

  • This study was conducted to empirically analyse the factors that influence SMEs' intention to adopt ESG. For this purpose, we first derived the variables of usefulness of ESG and ease of adoption. In addition, we adopted CEO's will because of the importance of CEO's role in decision-making in SMEs. In addition, we added customer's request, government support, and credit evaluation reflection as institutional factors for ESG management. To examine the mediating role of attitudes and employees' innovation resistance in these relationships and how they affect ESG adoption, we set up a research model. These factors were used in the empirical analysis with 368 valid responses from the survey. Hierarchical regression analysis method using SPSS 24.0 was used for statistical analysis, and Process Macro 4.0 based on SPSS 24 was used for mediation and moderation effects. The results of the empirical analysis of this study showed that the usefulness of ESG adoption, ease of adoption, CEO's will, customer's request, government support, and credit evaluation reflection all had a positive and significant effect on the intention to adopt ESG management. In particular, among the variables affecting ESG adoption, CEO's will was found to be the most influential. Attitudes were also found to play a mediating role between the influencing factors and intention to adopt ESG management, as well as the mediating effect of employee' innovation resistance. The academic implications of this study include the identification and empirical testing of each of the influencing variables of ESG management adoption in the scarce literature on ESG in SMEs, and the prioritisation of the influence of these factors on adoption intention, which can be used to promote the adoption of ESG management. In terms of practical implications, it is important for SMEs to have a win-win relationship with large corporations, an ecosystem such as government support, in order to improve CEO awareness and motivate the CEO's will, and for smooth introduction of ESG management, it is necessary to find ways to reduce resistance through sufficient communication with organizational members to make them aware of the need.

  • A lot of factor effects on the enterprise's innovation and business performance, for instance CEO and members intention etc.. Niehoff et al. says, The success factors of innovation enterprise's management lead to members of vision, innovation, innovation activities and support for an aggressive attitude of the enterprise members. However, today's products consumers wanted diverse and complex needs. CEO and members of the enterprise has been the diversity effort. The increase cost savings as well as in the profit improve factors that enterprise's participated a education and training, Subgroup activities, process quality, eliminate waste, improve yields, lead time reduction, process capability increasing, ets. This paper is a report of an empirical survey performed to 277 small and medium-sized enterprise in the korea. Cronbach's alpha coefficient is employed to analyze the reliability of the data. The effect analysis of each group is performed by the SEM(structural equation model). We use the SPSS' Amos program to analyze the equation modeling and test the hypotheses of the model.

  • This is a study of small & venture business ethical management on finance performance. We cheesed 200 venture company or pre-venture company and surveyed. The indexes of ethical management consisted of CEO's intend fur ethical management, fairness, That is developed by The Institute for Industrial Policy Studies and used to assess big business company. The dependent variable is fiscal net profit. We analyzed the correlation and regression. The finding is that the fairness is the major factor.

  • 기후변화, 고령화 사회로의 진입, 4차 산업혁명에 의한 첨단기술의 확산 등은 기업 현장에 큰 영향을 주고 있다. 또한, 최근 2년 넘게 지속되고 있는 코로나 팬더믹, 미중 갈등과 우크라이나 사태로 촉발된 원자재 가격 급등과 수급 불안은 세계 경제를 불황으로 몰고 있다. 중소기업을 창업하여 경영하고 있는 최고경영자(이하, CEO)들은 이러한 사업환경의 변화 속에서 지속가능 경영을 고민하고 있다. 흥미로운 것은 가혹한 사업환경을 마주하여 사업을 중단하고 정리하려는 CEO가 있는 반면, 의지를 갖고 사업을 계속하려는 경영자들도 있다는 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 중소기업 CEO의 사업계속의도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 조사하고 분석하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 중소기업의 사업 전망, 기업 역량, 경영자 역량, 가계 경제에 대한 부담감, 사업승계 인식이 CEO의 사업계속의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 중소기업의 사업 전망, 기업 역량, 경영자 역량, 가계 경제에 대한 부담감, 사업승계 인식이 CEO의 사업계속의도에 어떠한 정도로 영향을 미칠 것인지 양적 연구를 통해 실증적으로 검증하고자 한다. 변화무쌍한 경영 환경하에서 창업하여 일군 중소기업을 경쟁력 있게 성장시키기 위해 우선시 요구되는 CEO의 사업계속의도(Intention to Continue Business)를 종속변수로 설정하여 본 연구를 진행하였다.

A study on the effect of entrepreneurship and CEO competency on management performance of SME managers in the service economy era (서비스경제시대 중소기업 경영자의 기업가지향성과 CEO역량이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • Humanity has reached the age of service economy. A new economy requires new management. The chief executive of new management is the CEO. The results of management decision-making are reflected in the company's performance, and are the basis for future growth engines. This study empirically analyzed the effect of CEO competence, corporate orientation, and management performance of small and medium-sized mid-sized business managers on each other. In the study, a hypothesis was established between eight variables. In addition, the relationship between corporate orientation and CEO competency, which has not been studied, was also identified. Set personal effectiveness, willingness to innovate, opportunity recognition, information perception, relationship formation, business management, leadership, organizational culture, and human resource management as measures of CEO competency. After defining the operation in accordance with this study, the analysis was conducted. As a result of the analysis, corporate orientation did not produce a meaningful result in management performance. And CEO competency showed a positive (+) effect on management performance. It can be judged that the CEO variable, a management variable, had a positive effect on management performance. Also, there was a significant result in the relationship between corporate orientation and CEO competency. Innovativeness, initiative, and risk-taking have positive implications for CEO competency. Lastly, corporate orientation showed statistically significant results on management performance through the mediation of CEO competency. It is worth noting the results of this study in that the time of the study was the timing of the global pandemic (fendermic) of the COVID19 virus. In the future, in-depth research is needed on the relationship between CEO-related factors and management performance in a more changed economic environment.

특성화고 앙트러프러너십이 창업의지에 미치는 영향 연구: 창업멘토링 조절효과를 중심으로

  • 우리나라 특성화고는 산업사회의 각 분야에서 종사할 유능한 인재를 양성하고 합리적이며 능률적인 직업인을 육성하려는 목표로 1998년에 도입되었다. 2010년에는 독일, 스위스, 오스트리아 등에서 자리 잡은 마이스터고 제도를 도입하여 변화를 시도하였다. 유럽에서의 마이스터고는 창업 성공률이 98%에 이를 정도로 창업의지가 높은 학생들로 구성되었다. 우리나라 또한 특성화고 학생들의 창업의지를 높이기 위해서 정부와 민간 기관에서 다양한 시도를 하였다. 창업진흥원의 기업가 마인드 확산 교육 비즈쿨(2002년), 한국시민자원봉사회의 특성화고 대상 창업 마인드 확산 경진대회 Be the CEO(2004년), 아산나눔재단과 어썸스쿨의 앙트러프러너십 교육 히어로스쿨(2014년) 등이 사례이다. 본 저자도 2011년부터 중소벤처기업부와 SK가 공동으로 주최하는 고교생 앱 개발경진대회를 직접 운영하면서 특성화고 학생들의 창업의지를 높이기 위한 방안에 대해 오랫동안 고민하였다. 본 연구에서는 특성화고 학생들의 앙트러프러너십이 창업의지에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 앙트러프러너십의 구성요소는 Miller(1983)가 주장한 위험감수성, 혁신성, 진취성에 기회인지를 추가하였다. 또한, 특성화고 학생들이 학교 교육과 다양한 외부활동을 통하여 접하고 있는 창업멘토링이 앙트러프러너십 구성요소와 창업의지간에 조절효과가 있는지 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전국 491개(2017년 말) 특성화고등학교 중 지역별로 안배하여 14개 학교 학생들을 대상으로 설문을 시행하였으며, 설문서 287부를 실증분석에 활용하였다. 연구분석 결과 특성화고 학생의 기회인지, 위험감수성, 혁신성, 진취성은 모두 창업의지에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 기회인지, 위험감수성 등 앙트러프러너십 요소와 창업의지 관계에서 창업멘토링의 조절효과는 진취성에만 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 창업멘토링의 조절효과가 진취성에만 국한된 것은 특성화고는 창업보다는 취업 중심의 정책을 운영 중이어서 앙트러프러너십은 높으나 창업의지가 희박한 학생이 많았고, 기존의 창업멘토링 내용이 학생들의 창업의지를 높이는데 실제적인 도움이 되지 못하였으며, 창업을 가로막는 제도 때문에 멘토링 만으로는 창업의지를 높이는데 한계가 존재하였다. 본 연구의 결과가 우리나라 특성화고 학생들의 창업의지를 높이는 방안에 대한 연구를 촉발하는데 조그만 보탬이 되기를 바란다. 또한, 창업의지가 높은 특성화고 학생들이 창업을 실행할 수 있는 환경이 구축되고, 특성화고가 취업중심의 정책에서 창업친화적인 정책으로 개선하는 데 촉매제가 되기를 바란다.

  • This paper was analyzed to improve internal corporate venture system in public companies. The problems of internal corporate venture systems in a public company were as follows: First, lack of the CEO's willingness in venture business was shown. The culture of venture business also was not mature; Second, the employees were behind the effort to develop their business ability; Third, the objective views are needed to screening venture items and evaluation; Fourth, to measure performance of internal corporate venture, a clear basis and measure system were needed. Fifth, the reward was restricted; Finally, the mother-company did not invest any money for the spin-outed ventures The results of the paper were as follows: First, the CEO's support and effusion of venture culture were needed for successful internal corporate venture system; Second, a public company has to provide education program for venture and information--sharing system; Third, outside consultant may be utilized in finding venture items and feasibility evaluation. Fourth, each venture team may be provided a clear object and specific evaluation system based on characteristic of each team; Fifth, performance-base reward system is needed to enhance motivation; Finally, the public company has to provide find for the spin-off venture by utilizing government system and forming venture capital funds.
