Collaborative filtering (CF), one of the most successful recommendation techniques, has been used in a number of different applications such as recommending web pages, movies, music, articles and products. One of the critical issues in CF is why recommendation performances are different depending on application domains. However, prior literatures have focused on only data characteristics to explain the origin of the difference. Scant attentions have been paid to provide systematic explanation on the issue. To fill this research gap, this study attempts to systematically explain why recommendation performances are different using structural indexes of social network. For this purpose, we developed hypotheses regarding the relationships between structural indexes of social network and recommendation performance of collaboration filtering, and empirically tested them. Results of this study showed that density and inconclusiveness positively affected recommendation performance while clustering coefficient negatively affected it. This study can be used as stepping stone for understanding collaborative filtering recommendation performance. Furthermore, it might be helpful for managers to decide whether they adopt recommendation systems.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the cost-effectiveness of Eastern, Western, and collaborative treatments and suggest a cost-effective approach for patients with frozen shoulder pain. Methods : Using the data of fifty-two patients, treatment effectiveness was measured by CSA, SPABI, and ROM scales and changes from the baseline score were evaluated. Data source for cost estimation was based on the national health insurance (NHI) payment system. Because the price in NHI was differentiated by health care institutions, five collaborative types were considered in assessing costs. Cost-effective ratios were computed for economic evaluation. Results : Compared with Eastern treatment, collaborative and Western treatments showed better effects on CSA scale after 4 weeks' treatment. The collaborative approach was also the most effective treatment on SPADI and ROM scales. The direct cost per patient receiving Eastern treatment was less than other treatments. In general, collaborative treatment dominated Eastern and Western treatments in cost-effectiveness an analysis. However, the cost-effectiveness ratio of Eastern treatment resulted in \9,000 compared to \29,000 of collaborative treatment on SPADI. Four different indicators of ROM scales resulted in different approaches as the cost-effective treatment. Conclusions : Considering cost-effectiveness ratios, collaborative treatment was the best treatment on CSh and SPADI scales after 4 weeks' treatment. As for ROM scales, the recommended alternatives were Eastern treatment for patients with abduction and adduction disabilities, Western treatment for those with flexion disability, and collaborative approach fir those with extension disabiliry.
Due to the recent worldwide economic downturn, companies are required to put more effort into their innovation and quality improvement. In particular, business relationship is increasingly emphasized to be changed from a vertical relationship to a more horizontal relationship, such as collaborative partnership based on trust. In the logistics industry, through the collaboration, consignors can gain competitive advantages by focusing on their core capabilities, and freight forwarders also take advantages of securing stable cargoes and specialist expertise in distribution. Therefore, this study aims to identify key factors for developing a collaborative partnership between freight forwarders and consignors, and further examine the differences between the two groups empirically by using questionnaire survey. Based on the results, the main factors were found as follows: 1) Trust Building, 2) Competence Improvement, 3) Business Ecosystem and 4) Government Assistance. According to the analysis on sub-factors, first, among the four main factors, it turned out that trust is the most important variable. Specifically, the sub-factor of providing regular and stable service was revealed to be most critical. Second, it was found that forwarders need to improve services on 'Information Exchange System' and 'Electronic Data Interchange'. Finally, it is necessary for both consignors and forwarders to have better understanding of partnership. Key implications for both groups are highlighted based on the results.

As facilities have become larger, more complex, and advanced, the importance of the facility management in the operation phase of the building is increasing. As a result, the scope of the facility management function is expanding, and the requirements of information are ever-increasing. However, inefficient exchange of information occurs due to duplicated tasks and lack of collaboration among the construction life cycle phases, resulting in cost loss. These low interoperability issues can be complemented by construction information management from a life cycle perspective. Efficient construction information management at each life-cycle stage is derived from the owner's will and is materialized through the construction information handover requirements by the owner. The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation method of construction information handover requirements for facility management. In order to develop the method, facility management types and business functions are also classified and defined in this paper. Using the methodology proposed by this study, a case-study of evaluating the 'takeover items' submitted by contractors was performed for the purpose of research validation. The results of the case-study found that the most effective areas are in the order of 'legal informations', 'drawings', 'guides', etc. This study can be used as a reference data for deriving handover requirements for construction information at the early stage of the project.

IT system in supply chain management(hereafter, SCM) has been regarded as one of competitive advantage to win over competing supply chain. SCM participants rush to adopt IT system to be agile for changing environment. Companies expect the improvement of the process integration over the supply chain, which enhance the overall SCM performance. IT system has been considered to influence on effective communication over the wall of firm boundaries. But, the profitability or the effectiveness of IT investment are controversial. This study try to reemphasize the importance of IT system considering the differences of processes, and the influences on the collaboration of supply chain participants. We want to know the perception level of functional managers for the importances, usages, and contributions of IT system in manufacturing sector. Also, we compare the different perception for collaborative SCM among supplier, buyer, and employees of buyer, and try to understand the context in which the IT investment acceptance occurs. We collected 297 responses(199 from line process and 98 from project process respectively). Results show that the importances, usages, and contributions of IT system are higher in the line process than in the project process.

Smart work is an alternative form to enable seamless business collaboration without time and space limitations using ICT. However, smart work implementation has not produced tangible achievements and sometimes has resulted in failure. This study examined users' resistance against smart work, which is regarded as one of the most important elements for the successful implementation of smart work. The study classified elements which cause users' resistance into the work's innovative characteristics and the user characteristics based on the model of innovation resistance. It also set the degree of freedom in spatial and temporal dimension as moderating factors. This empirical research results showed that low work efficiency, unfavorable evaluation methods, and high degree of satisfaction in the way of working affected smart work users' resistance. In addition, temporal freedom had a moderating effect on the relationship between users' characteristics and their resistance. On the contrary, spatial freedom affected the relationship between their works' innovative characteristics and their resistance. The study results suggest that organizations need to set up business processes and evaluation methods first to adopt Smart work successfully.

Enterprise is focused on R&D innovative activities in order to achieve sustainable growth & secure competitive advantage. There are many factors that influence enterprise innovation performance, but enterprise innovation activities do not always have a positive effect. Therefore, this study analyzed the effects of on innovation performance, focusing on innovation acceleration factors and innovation hindrance factors. The research model analyzed 2,081 national manufacturing enterprises that responded to the 2016 Korean Innovation Survey (STEPI). SPSS 25.0 was used to perform reliability, feasibility, and logistic regression analysis. The results are as follows. First, innovation activities have positive effects on enterprise product and process innovation performance. On the other hand, government support had the opposite results. Second, the collaboration of technology showed a positive effect on product innovation performance, independent of innovation acceleration and hindrance factors. Third, innovation activities showed a positive effect on process innovation performance, regardless of the innovation acceleration and hindrance factors. Unlike prior studies limited to technological innovation, this study analyzed the attitudes of enterprises toward innovation acceleration and hindrance factors. This study is expected to contribute to establishing a strategy for reducing the failure and risk of innovation due to its findings on how innovation performance varies by groups.
Start-up accelerators are a new type of investor that provide mentoring, education and seed capital to start-ups for a fixed duration and receive a certain stake in them in return. They help start-ups achieve successful commercialization. With increase in performance visibility, the number of private and public sector accelerators rose across domestic and international markets. Private sector accelerators are established and operated by private entities while public sector accelerators are established and operated by the government. Both play complementary roles that are becoming increasingly important to start-ups. Therefore, this study aims to examine the differences in major operational goals and investment determinants between private and public sectors and to understand their implications. The results show that the private sector prioritizes profit generation through the investment, while the public sector aims to contribute to the development of high-growth start-ups, and create region-specific and technology-specific start-up ecosystems. Additionally, both groups consider customer needs the most important determinant. Public groups are more conservative in investments and tend to place importance on objective indicators such as patents, partners, mentors, and co-founders. Conversely, private groups value the capabilities of founders and their ease of collaboration with accelerators. These findings can help start-ups get support from public or private accelerators more easily. It will also help public and private accelerators refine the criteria for selecting start-ups.
The global pandemic and the development of virtual and augmented reality technologies have led a metaverse boom that enables a lot of interactions in virtual worlds, and is being utilized in various fields such as business, government, and education etc. Despite the growing interest in the metaverse, its scope and definition are still unclear and the concept is still evolving, making it challenging to establish its governance. Governmental entities are also investing intensively in public metaverses to make public value and promote social welfare, but they are underutilized due to lack of systematic governance. Therefore, in this study, we propose a public metaverse governance framework and identify the relative importance of the factors. Furthermore, since a public metaverse should be accessible to anyone who wants to use, we explore the factors of shadow work and examine the ways to minimize it. Based on the socio-technical system theory, we derived public metaverse governance factors from previous literature and topic modeling and then generate a framework with 23 factors through expert interviews. We then tested relative priority of the factors using the analytic hierarchical process (AHP) from the experts. As a result, the top five overall rankings are: 'roles and responsibilities', 'standardization/modularization', 'collaboration and communication', 'law and policies', and 'availability/accessibility'. The academic implications of this study are that it provides a comprehensive framework for public metaverse governance, and then the practical implications include suggesting prioritized considerations for metaverse operations in the public sector.

Since last year, the government has enforced the 'Act on the Punishment of Severe Accidents, Etc.' (hereafter referred to as the 'Serious Accident Punishment Act'), which punishes business owners and business managers who fail to fulfill their duty of safety measures with 'imprisonment of one year or more' and the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Based on this, various occupational safety and health policies were developed, including the operation of a system related to entrusting the work of safety managers. Despite these efforts, the effect of implementing the Severe Accident Punishment Act is a groundbreaking change in the current disaster prevention policy, which has increased by 0.02%P and 0.03‱P, respectively, from the previous year to 0.65% of the total accident rate and 1.10‱ of the death rate per 10,000 people as of 2022. As the need emerged, attention was paid to 'collaboration and governance with safety management institutions' in the 'Severe Disaster Reduction Roadmap' announced by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in November 2022. In this study, a meaningful result was derived by comparing and analyzing the industrial accident status of workplaces entrusted by "A" safety management institutions with the national average based on the industrial accident survey table, and the types of industrial accidents that occurred in consigned workplaces were selected as intensive management targets. The policy direction for industrial accident prevention was established. It is necessary to develop safety management work manuals based on the results of this study, expertise, discover best cases of risk assessment and develop guides, and educate and train consigned workers. In addition, it suggests that the government's guidance and supervision are needed to advance the professionalism of safety management entrusted tasks, and that safety management institutions should strengthen their roles and functions for preventing and reducing industrial accidents. However, due to difficulties in disclosing information of specialized safety management institutions, the limitation of the provision, collection, and viewing of research-related data to "A" specialized safety management institutions remains a limitation of the research. It seems likely that more thorough research will be conducted.
