Let I denote an ideal of a Noetherian local ring (R, m). Let M denote a finitely generated R-module. We study the endomorphism ring of the local cohomology module $H^c_I(M)$, c = grade(I, M). In particular there is a natural homomorphism $$Hom_{\hat{R}^I}({\hat{M}}^I,\;{\hat{M}}^I){\rightarrow}Hom_R(H^c_I(M),\;H^c_I(M))$$, $where{\hat{\cdot}}^I$ denotes the I-adic completion functor. We provide sufficient conditions such that it becomes an isomorphism. Moreover, we study a homomorphism of two such endomorphism rings of local cohomology modules for two ideals $J{\subset}I$ with the property grade(I, M) = grade(J, M). Our results extends constructions known in the case of M = R (see e.g. [8], [17], [18]).

Inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 are important inflammatory mediators that have been implicated in pathogenesis of inflammation and certain types of human cancers. The present study was designed in order to determine whether Wild ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Mayer) could modulate $I{\kappa}B$-kinase (IKK), iNOS and COX-2 gene expression and its immune responses in RAW 264.7 macrophages stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS, 1 ${\mu}/m{\ell}$). Wild ginseng extract dose-dependantly (*0.5 - 2 ${\mu}/m{\ell}$) decreased the LPS-induced IKK, iNOS and COX-2 mRNA expression and its immune responses. Moreover, it inhibited unclear factor (NF)-${\kappa}B$ immune response by LPS. These data be likely to indicate that Wild ginseng may acts as inflammatory regulator and may be possible to develope a useful agent for inflammatory diseases.

Major objectives were to evaluate effects of three schemes of bST-supplementation of Holstein cows (142.8 mg/14 d, POSILAC) during the prepartum and/or postpartum periods through 63 d (${\pm}3d$) of lactation. Measures evaluated the potential of treatments to improve body weight (BW) and body condition score (BCS), provoke changes in plasma concentrations of somatotropin (ST) and IGF-I, and improve milk yield, milk composition (percentages of protein and fat, and somatic cell counts), and several calving variables. Multiparous Holstein cows were randomly assigned to a $2{\times}2$ factorial arrangement of treatments (TRT) to give four groups (I = no bST, n = 26; II = bST postpartum, n = 25; III = bST prepartum, n = 27; IV = bST prepartum and postpartum, n = 25). During the prepartum period, cows in groups I and II were not supplemented but those in groups III and IV were supplemented every 2-wk beginning 21 d before expected calving date through calving. During the first 63 DIM only cows in groups II and IV were supplemented with bST. From 64 DIM through the end of lactation cows in all groups were supplemented with the full lactation dose of bST (500 mg/14 d). The BW and BCS were recorded weekly throughout the prepartum and postpartum periods and every 2-wk beyond 70 DIM. Blood samples were collected 3-times a week for analyses of ST and IGF-I. Milk yields were recorded daily though 150 DIM. Prepartum supplementation of bST did not affect BW or BCS, but mean concentrations of ST were increased 12.2% and were 15.5% greater at calving. Overall, mean concentration of IGF-I was not affected by treatment but concentrations were greater at 1 and 2 wk before calving in bST-supplemented cows. During the first 63 DIM the BW and BCS were not affected by treatment. Significant effects of bST-supplementation were detected on concentrations of ST, IGF-I and on milk yield compared to non-supplemented cows in group I. Postpartum concentrations of ST were greater in bST-supplemented cows (TRT II and IV; +41.9 and 54.6%). However, concentrations of IGF-I were greater only in cows in group IV (+25.9%) during the postpartum period. Overall, the three bST-supplemented groups had greater actual milk yield than the control group (I) during the first 63 and 150 DIM. The actual milk yields during 63 and 150 DIM were 6.5 and 4.6 kg/d greater for cows in group IV than cows in group I and the 305-d ME milk yield also was 15.6% greater. No adverse effects of TRT were observed on calf birth weight, colostrum immunoglobulins, ease of calving or other measures evaluated.

Let $\bar{M}$ be a smoothly bounded pseudoconvex complex manifold with a family of almost complex structures $\{L^{\tau}\}_{{\tau}{\in}I}$, $0{\in}I$, which extend smoothly up to bM, the boundary of M, and assume that there is ${\lambda}{\in}C^{\infty}$(bM) which is strictly subharmonic with respect to the structure $L^0|_{bM}$ in any direction where the Levi-form vanishes on bM. We obtain explicit estimates for the $\bar{\partial}$-Neumann problem in Sobolev spaces both in space and parameter variables. Also we get a similar result when $\bar{M}$ is strongly pseudoconvex.

Background and Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects of Hyunggaeyungyo-tang(HYT) on RAW 264.7 cells. Material and Methods : Two types of experiments were implemented for this study: first, the experiment to study the anti-oxidant effect of HYT using riboflavin; second, in vitro experiment to investigate the suppression of NF-${\kappa}$B activation using RAW 264.7 cells (I${\kappa}$B kinase and induce nitric oxide synthase mRNA expression) Results : 1. The anti-oxidant effects of HYT was dose-dependantly increased. 2. The RAW 264.7cells were treated with LPS for 1 hours prior to the addition of indicated concentrations(0.4,-1.0mg/$m\ell$) of HYT, and the cells were further incubated for 24 hours. The LPS-induced IKK & iNOS mRNA expression were dose-dependantly decreased in HYT treated RAW 264.7cells. Conclusion : The results suggest that HYT is significantly effective in the treatment of inflammation through the suppression of NF-${\kappa}$B activation and iNOS production.

Let I be an ideal of a commutative Noetherian semi-local ring R and M be an R-module. It is shown that if dim M ≤ 2 and Supp_R M ⊆ V (I), then M is I-weakly cofinite if (and only if) the R-modules Hom_R(R/I, M) and Ext¹_R(R/I, M) are weakly Laskerian. As a consequence of this result, it is shown that the category of all I-weakly cofinite modules X with dim X ≤ 2, forms an Abelian subcategory of the category of all R-modules. Finally, it is shown that if dim R/I ≤ 2, then for each pair of finitely generated R-modules M and N and each pair of the integers i, j ≥ 0, the R-modules Tor^R_i(N, H^j_I(M)) and Extⁱ_R(N, H^j_I(M)) are I-weakly cofinite.

In this paper, we show some results on the artinianness of local cohomology modules with respect to a system of ideals. If M is a 𝚽-minimax ZD-module, then H^{dim M}_𝚽(M)/𝖆H^{dim M}_𝚽(M) is artinian for all 𝖆 ∈ 𝚽. Moreover, if M is a 𝚽-minimax ZD-module, t is a non-negative integer and Hⁱ_𝚽(M) is minimax for all i > t, then Hⁱ_𝚽(M) is artinian for all i > t.

This paper presents an 24 GHz I/Q LO generator for a heartbeat measurement radar system. In order to improve the mismatch performance between I and Q LO signals against process variation, a 24 GHz I/Q LO generator employing a low-pass phase shifter and a high-pass phase shifter composed of inductors and capacitors is proposed. The proposed 24 GHz I/Q LO generator consists of an LO buffer, a low-pass phase shifter and a high-pass phase shifter. It was designed using a 65 nm CMOS technology and draws 8 mA from a 1 V supply voltage. The proposed 24 GHz I/Q LO generator shows a gain of 7.5 dB, a noise figure of 2.3 dB, 0.1 dB gain mismatch and $4.3^{\circ}$ phase mismatch between I and Q-path against process and temperature variations for the operating frequencies from 24.05 GHz to 24.25 GHz.

The synthesis of novel group 9 metal complexes containing the S,S'-chelate ligands, $Li_2S_2C_2B_{10}H_{10}$ (2a) and $LiS(S=PMe_2)C_2B_{10}H_{10$} (2b), is described. Two new dinuclear complexes of the type $[{(cod)M}_2(S,S'-S_2C_2B_{10}H_{10})]$ (cod = 1,5-cyclooctadiene; M = Rh (3a), or Ir (3b)) were synthesized by the reaction of chloridebridged dimers $[M({\mu}-Cl)(cod)]_2$ with one molar equivalent of the corresponding dilithium dithiolato ligand $Li_2S_2C_2B_{10}H_{10}$ (2a). X-ray crystal structure analysis of 3a revealed a dinuclear structure in which each (cod)Rh unit is attached to a distinct sulfur atom of a 1,2-dithio-o-carboranyl ligand (2a). Additionally, the electrochemical properties of 3a and 3b were investigated by cyclic voltammetry. In an analogous manner, reaction of the lithium dithiolato ligand $LiS(S=PMe_2)C_2B_{10}H_{10}$ (2b) with $Cp^{\ast}CoI_2(CO)$ produced a mononuclear dithiolato complex, $[Cp^{\ast}CoI{(S,S'-S(S=PMe_2)C_2B_{10}H_{10})}]$ (4), which was characterized by single-crystal X-ray analysis.

Let R be a commutative ring with non-zero identity and let NN(R) = {I | I is a nonnil ideal of R}. Let M be an R-module and let ${\phi}-tor(M)=\{x{\in}M{\mid}Ix=0\text{ for some }I{\in}NN(R)\}$. If ${\phi}or(M)=M$, then M is called a ${\phi}$-torsion module. An R-module M is said to be ${\phi}$-flat, if $0{\rightarrow}{A{\otimes}_R}\;{M{\rightarrow}B{\otimes}_R}\;{M{\rightarrow}C{\otimes}_R}\;M{\rightarrow}0$ is an exact R-sequence, for any exact sequence of R-modules $0{\rightarrow}A{\rightarrow}B{\rightarrow}C{\rightarrow}0$, where C is ${\phi}$-torsion. In this paper, the concepts of NRD-submodules and NP-submodules are introduced, and the ${\phi}$-flat modules over a ${\phi}-Pr{\ddot{u}}fer$ ring are investigated.
