통합 유치원 일반유아의 특수유아에 대한 거부적 태도 탐구 (Understanding Children's Negative Attitudes Towards Peers with Special Needs in an Inclusive Kindergarten)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand children's negative attitudes exhibited towards peers with special needs in an inclusive kindergarten, utilizing ethnographic research methodology. The subjects consisted of 54 children undergoing typical development and three children with special needs in a public kindergarten in Busan metropolitan city. Data collection was conducted by means of participant observations and interviews took place from April until November, 2009. Our results revealed that the responses of 'not acknowledging presence', 'differentiating', 'adapting them to us', 'excluding at play' were major themes in children's negative attitudes exhibited towards peers with disabilities in an otherwise ostensibly inclusive kindergarten. The response of 'not acknowledging presence' was categorized as a way of ignoring their existence, whereas 'differentiating' was categorized as stressing difference, and assuring difference. There were two characteristics related to 'adapting them to us' : adapting them to our ways, adapting them to our knowledge. Concerning 'excluding from play', four characteristics were found : excluding indirectly, excluding directly, excluding illogically, and excluding by seeking majority accord. The implications of the findings for inclusive early childhood education were discussed.

통합교육을 받고 있는 일반학생과 학부모의 장애학생 수용태도 - 일반학생의 성과 학년에 따른 차이를 중심으로 - (The Acceptance Attitudes toward Students with Disabilities of Normal Students Getting Inclusive Education and Their Parents - Focused on Differences by Gender and Grade -)

  • This study aims at determining attitudes of elementary and middle school students getting inclusive education and their parents toward students with disabilities to provide basic data for desirable inclusive education. Questionnaires were given to 3 elementary schools and 2 middle schools and the participants were 117 elementary students, 288 middle students, 98 parents of elementary school students and 156 parents of middle school students. Three areas of attitude were observed the cognitive area, the affective-behavioral area, and the area of perceived effect on learning area. The data were analyzed using t-test and ANOVA. The results indicated as follows; First, there was no significant difference in attitude by gender. Second, middle school students had a more negative attitude toward the students with disabilities than elementary school students. Third, students had more positive attitudes than their parents toward students with disabilities when the affective-behavioral area was analyzed, whereas the opposite was true when the area of perceived effect on learning area was analyzed.

캡스톤 디자인 기반 장애교재교구 제작을 통한 예비보육교사의 장애 인식, 통합교육에 대한 태도 및 교사효능감의 변화 (Changes in Early Childhood Pre-service Teachers' Perceptions of the Disabilities, Attitudes toward Inclusive Education, and Teacher Efficacy through Capstone Design-based Disability Teaching Materials Production Classes)

  • 본 연구는 캡스톤 디자인 기반의 장애아와 비장애가 함께 놀이하는 장애교재교구 제작 수업을 통하여 예비보육교사들에게 장애 인식, 통합교육 태도 및 교사효능감의 변화와 차이를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 참여자는 수도권 3년제 K대학에서 2020년 한 학기 동안 캡스톤 디자인 수업에 참여한 보육 전공학생 3학년 50명(실험집단 25명, 비교집단 25명)이며, 양적 및 질적 연구를 혼합하여 적용하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 장애교재교구를 제작한 실험집단이 비교집단 보다 장애 인식과 통합교육에 대한 태도 및 교사효능감에서 유의미한 변화를 보였다. 장애인에 대한 전반적인 이해와 지식이 증가하여 장애 인식에 긍정적인 변화가 있었다. 이러한 장애 인식의 긍정적 변화는 통합교육에 대한 태도와 교사효능감에도 긍정적인 변화를 준 것으로 판단된다. 예비보육교사의 이러한 긍정적인 변화는 통합교육현장에서 장애유아와의 상호작용 시, 교사의 다양한 역할과 교수행동의 질을 높이는 계기가 될 것이다.

장애유아 통합교육 관련 학위논문 연구동향 분석 (An Analysis of Research Trends in Early Childhood Inclusive Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze recent research trends in early childhood inclusive education. For this purpose, a total of 408 theses, written between 1986 and 2010, were chosen and then analyzed in terms of years of publication, the main topics of research, and the research methodology used. The results of this study are presented and discussed as follows : First, the amount of research into inclusive education increased greatly after 2001. Second, the main topics of the research, as reflected in the theses studied, were general discussions of inclusive education, the attitudes and apprehension of those working with young children with disabilities and the rate of increase in the quantity of research produced has been gradually increased. Third, the methodologies of researches varied somewhat, as reflected in the review of the survey studies and experimental studies. Therefore, it can be said that research into Early Childhood Inclusion Education will continue to be a subject of interest and study and will continue to develop for the benefit curriculum, measurement, assessment and the families concerned.

통합보육 역량강화 프로그램이 보육교직원의 통합교육 교수 효능감과 통합에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향 (Effects of an Inclusive Childcare Capacity Building Program on In-service Teachers' Teaching Efficacy and Attitudes towards Inclusion)

  • An inclusive childcare capacity building program was designed to enhance teacher efficacy and attitudes toward the inclusion of childcare teachers. A total of 36 teachers working in childcare facilities in Gyeonggido participated in this study. Nineteen teachers were assigned to the treatment condition and 17 teachers were assigned to the control condition. The program explicitly addressed 15 topics, including screening and diagnosis, early development, characteristics of disability, family support and related services, IEP, and online site observation. The program was primarily delivered by field professionals using adult learning techniques such as small group activities, reflective journal writings, and online consultation. Teachers in the treatment group outperformed teachers in the control group on three measures of teacher efficacy, teacher play efficacy, and attitudes toward inclusion. The results were statistically significant. The increase in teacher efficacy, play efficacy, and attitudes toward inclusion of teachers was attributed to the well-designed program, encompassing early development, disability characteristics, small group discussions, and online support. The results highlight the importance of providing and disseminating a capacity building program for in-service teachers.

게임화된 장애체험활동이 비장애아동의 장애인식에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Gamified Disability Awareness Program on the Peers' Disability)

  • 본 연구에서는 장애이해교육으로서의 게임화된 장애체험활동의 효과를 알아보기 위해, 초등학생을 대상으로 게임화된 수업을 실시하고 장애에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 중재는 장애아동과 일반아동이 함께 하는 통합체육 수업으로 내용은 장애인 스키와 관련한 영상시청, 스키장비 체험, 장애/비장애 아동간의 협력적 게임 등이 포함되었다. 비교집단이 있는 사전, 사후 준실험연구를 실시한 결과, 비교집단에 비해 실험집단의 장애에 대한 태도가 긍정적으로 변화한 것으로 나타났다.

  • 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애(ADHD)는 소아청소년기에 흔히 나타나는 장애질환으로 초등학교 아동들의 교육적, 사회적 적응에 어려움을 불러일으키는 요인 중의 하나이다. ADHD 증상아동들은 다른 학생들과 함께 가르치는 교사들의 태도와 행동을 결정하는 요인에 대한 분석은 효율적인 통합교육을 위한 교육방법의 개선과 교사 교육을 위해 필요한 과정이다. 본 연구에서는 ADHD 아동을 경험한 적이 있는 227명의 초등교사 설문조사를 바탕으로 나이, 성별, 교직경력, 연수시간 등이 지식, 태도, 스트레스 및 교실에서의 통합교육 의지에 미치는 영향 정도를 살펴보고자 하였다. 회귀분석 결과, 5% 유의수준에서 성별은 스트레스에, 연수시간은 ADHD 관련지식수준에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그렇지만 ADHD 학생의 지도경험, 나이, 성별, 교직경력, 연수시간 등의 요인은 통합교육 의지에 별다른 영향을 미치는 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 결론으로 교사들의 정책적 지원요구사항도 간략히 요약하여 제시하였다.

  • This study clarifies the definition of and to provides guidelines on educational objectives, core concepts, and content in developing a Human Rights Education Program for families. The Delphi survey method was used to develop a Human Rights Education Program for families. As a result, a Human Rights Education Program for families was defined as education that would ensure all members of the family enjoy universal human rights without discrimination. In addition, that the prejudice and discrimination against socially marginalized would not be created within the family by learning values and attitudes that respects human rights and freedom. The objectives were to learn the merit of respecting individuals, relationships, and community. Core concepts of the program were the rights for myself and others, communicating and responsibilities and a sense of citizenship. Content included human rights, respect of oneself and others, empathetic understanding, acceptance, communication in an intimate relationship, conflict management, sharing the role of caring the family, no discrimination against the socially marginalized, and creating an inclusive community culture. This study can be used as a guideline for family human rights education based on family human rights, which is the core of family democracy.

특수교육 대상학생을 위한 과학교육의 실천 사례와 예비과학교사들의 장애학생과 통합교육에 대한 인식 변화 (A Case Study on Science Education for Students with Special Educational Needs and the Change of Pre-Service Science Teachers' Attitude Towards Disability and Inclusive)

  • 이 글에서는 최근 과학교육학의 연구와 실천 동향을 살펴보면서 특수교육 대상학생을 위한 과학교육의 의의를 과학교육의 지향과 연결하여 논의하였다. '모든 이를 위한 과학'은 1980년대 이후 과학교육 과정의 중요한 지향으로 제안되었으며 특히 우리나라 교육과정에서는 수준별 교육과정을 도입하여 이를 구현하려고 하고 있다. 모든 이를 위한 과학은 소수자를 포함한 모든 학생을 위한 과학교육으로 그 의미가 확장되어야 한다. 그러나 이러한 지향에도 불구하고 이른바 소수자 즉 뛰어난 재능에 대한 특별한 관리가 필요한 학생이나 신체적 또는 정신적 장애로 인해 특별한 교육적 지원이 필요한 학생을 위한 과학교육의 연구와 실천은 '보통'의 학생에 비하여 미흡했다. 특히 과학영재교육에 비하여 장애학생 또는 특수교육 대상학생을 위한 과학교육에 대해서는 더욱 부족하다. 이 연구에서는 장애학생과 함께 하는 '희망의 과학싹잔치'를 중심으로 장애학생을 포함하는 과학교육의 실천 사례의 연혁과 실천 과정을 소개하고, 이 행사에 참여한 예비과학교사들의 장애학생과 통합교육에 대한 인식 변화 결과를 서술하면서, 특수교육 대상 학생을 포함하는 모든 이를 과학교육의 접근 방향과 의의를 논의하였다.

한국 성 소수자 건강연구에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the Health Research of Sexual Minorities in Korea)

  • This paper reviewed the past social discussion and health research results on sexual minorities to suggest a future direction. Studies have been done to increase the social inclusion of sexual minorities and promote the health of sexual minorities. However, there is still a lot of exclusive awareness of sexual minorities in Korean society, and the researchers have not identified their health status. Studies have shown that factors that hinder lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) people from accessing medical services are the lack of knowledge and awareness of LGBTI people and attitudes not inclusive of LGBTI people's culture. Thus, it is necessary to identify the health status of each sexual minority type and prepare health promotion measures accordingly in national health research. In addition, it is essential to provide medical personnel with sexual minority education and introduce a sexual minority education curriculum that includes theory and practice into the health care curriculum. The result of this paper may be able to act as a guide for future operation plans in health research on sexual minorities.
