  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship among major satisfaction, career identity, academic self-efficacy and career preparation behavior of nursing students. Methods: 210 nursing students participated. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and pearson's correlation coefficients with IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0. Results: Mean score of major satisfaction, career identity, academic self-efficacy and career preparation behavior was 3.78, 2.67, 3.11 and 2.46 points. There was significant positive correlation among major satisfaction, academic self-efficacy and career preparation behavior. Conclusion: Based on the finding of this study, to improve career preparation behavior of nursing students, it needs to a systemic education system that improve major satisfaction and academic self-efficacy. In addition, it is necessary to identify the factors that affect career preparation behavior.

  • In recent years, the problem of academic credential falsification is not simply the manipulation of certificates generated by educational institutions, but also the difficulty of trusting automated relationship verification and verification itself, such as falsely recording completion as graduation while still in school. This is due to the lack of sharing of educational background databases among university institutions and the establishment/operation of independent systems that make it difficult to track educational backgrounds. This study designs and implements an E-AV model for academic credential verification centered on university institutions. It summarizes and stores the linked information on the existing academic background in an encrypted database and implements it with web standard technology considering the compatibility and scalability of the existing system. The results of sample data verification show that it improves safety against forgery and complies with storage space and execution performance. This study aims to contribute to the improvement of online verification services such as academic records management in domestic universities.

  • Purpose : PBL is a teaching method to learn problem-solving process. Present study was to investigate the predictors of academic achievement when PBL is applied to students of physical therapy. Method : We Performed in-depth interviews and analyzed using the qualitative analysis by randomly assigning 5 of twenty four students who attended the class. Result : The results are classified into two categories and six sub-subjects. Based on two system of classification, PBL showed the learning effect through problem-solving methods because students directly participated in these processes. Also, students need to clearly comprehend communication method and decision-making process in order to progress the class smoothly. Conclusion : Therefore, futher studies will be continuously needed on how we apply PBL to various curriculums of physical therapy.

  • A 27-year-old man was admitted with a penetrating injury at the mid-manubrium. Computed tomographic (CT) angiography showed a f illing def ect in the aortic arch. This was evaluated as a sign of injury and the patient underwent an emergency operation. No active bleeding or clot was f ound in the mediastinum during the operation. The laceration point was between the innominate and the left carotid artery posteriorly. The injury was approached using hypothermic circulatory arrest. Aortotomy and exploration showed a 2-cm-long full-thickness aortic injury with an overlying clot. A filling defect on angiography as a sign of a penetrating arch injury has never been reported previously, but was the main pathological finding on CT angiography in our case. The aorta is a high-pressure system and injuries to it should be treated aggressively.

  • Purpose - The pool of entrepreneurs with progressive qualities such as creativity and innovation was considered concurrently with such factors as work and capital that stimulate economic development and growth. This study aims to present a model to support the development of a strategic approach for achieving an overall academic entrepreneurship system in Iran. Research design, data, and methodology - The research design of this study is based on applied research because of its objectives, using principles and techniques formulated for basic research to solve operational and real organizational issues. This design also drives the method used, describing and interpreting the findings. Secondary data (library research) was used for this study's data collection. Because of this research's essential characteristics, no hypothesis is launched, and no research setting, questionnaire design, population or population sampling, validity or reliability tests, or statistical analysis are needed. Results and Conclusions - The model is created using a strategic approach acting in an octal setting comprising social, cultural, legal, economic, political, technological, competitive, and natural environments to present a conceptual framework for future studies.

  • Software written in academic environments is rarely integrated and/or reused. Moreover, typical academic software products do not communicate with commercial CAD packages, consequently functionality that is readily available to industry is not available do academic researchers. The Surface Design Library (SDL) is a library serving as a framework under which, CAGD software, intended for research or educational use, can be written in such a manner that it becomes a reusable part of a useful CAGD system. Moreover SDL is equipped with an IGES translator so that it communicates with commercial CAD packages, This paper gives a brief overview to SDL and presents examples of using it for high quality fairing performed on a naval ship hull, before employing commercial CAD packages for further design and analysis.

  • This study is a structural analysis of a multi-type and multi-level library network within the framework of a regional interlibrary loan (ILL) system. The study monitored to information network structure for resource sharing of academic and research library materials transmitted through the ILL. The local flow of academic and research information was measured by a survey of the filled ILL transactions by individual libraries in the Western 3Rs region. The major findings were as follows: 1) the regional ILL network showed less than half of participation of the total subject libraries, 2) existing structure surveyed was identified as a composite centralized network with three communication groups, 3) depending on the types of materials transacted, the structure were changed, 4) statewide and multi-state library cooperatives had direct interactions with some of the local libraries, 5) individual libraries participated in the ILL network more for periodicals than book materials, 6) academic libraries throughout the total six structure analyzed showed the highest percentage of participation.
