Compaction Simulator Study on Pectin Introducing Dwell Time

  • Although many scientists have used pectin, its feasibility in terms of tablet manufacturability with a high speed machine has never been evaluated. Therefore, compactibility of different pectin types for large scale tableting operation has been evaluated. The compactibility behavior of powder pectins was studied by a compaction simulator. It was found that pectin on its own does not produce tablets of acceptable quality even at a punch velocity as low as 20 rpm (e.g. low tensile strengths, capping and lamination irrespective of applied compression force). Thus, dwell time was introduced and more hard compact was produced as relaxation time in die increases. It was concluded that frequent structural failure observed in both pectin types was due to lack of plastic deformation, poor compactibility and high elastic recovery.

체감형 스키 시뮬레이터 개발을 위한 플루크보겐 동작의 운동역학적 비교 (Comparisons of Pflugbogen's Biomechanical Characteristics to Develop Interactive Ski Simulator)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare pflugbogen's biomechanical characteristics between on the ski simulator and snowed ski slope to develop interactive ski simulator. Nine ski instructors(sex: male, age: $29.6{\pm}5.4yrs$, height: $176.0{\pm}5.6cm$, body mass: $76.0{\pm}14.0kg$) belong to Korean Ski Instructors Association participated in this research. 24 Infrared cameras for snowed ski slope experiment and 13 infrared camera for ski simulator experiment were installed near by path of pflugbogen. The participants did pflugbogen on the snowed ski slope and the ski simulator both. During the experiment, the participants weared motion capture suit with infrared reflective makers on it, and plantar pressure sensors in ski boots, so that ski motion and plantar pressure data were collected together. Displacement of COG(center of gravity) movements, trunk flexion/extension angle, adduction/abduction angle, and plantar pressure data were significantly different between on the simulator and ski slope. However, percentage of time of COG movement in the phases during medial/lateral and anterior/posterior movement were not significantly different. Findings indicate that the difference between two groups occurred because the ski simulator's drive mechanism is different from ski motion on the slope. In order to develop the ski simulator more interactively for pflugbogen, the ski simulator's drive mechanism need to be reflected 3D motion data of pflugbogen on the slope that were purposed in this research.

3D Device simulator를 사용한 공정과 Layout에 따른 FinFET 아날로그 특성 연구 (Analysis of Process and Layout Dependent Analog Performance of FinFET Structures using 3D Device Simulator)

  • 본 논문에서는 3차원 소자 시뮬레이터인 Sentaurus를 사용하여, spacer 및 selective epitaxial growth (SEG) 구조 등 공정적 요소를 고려한 22 nm 급 FinFET 구조에서 레이아웃에 따른 DC 및 AC 특성을 추출하여 아날로그 성능을 평가하고 개선방법을 제안한다. Fin이 1개인 FinFET에서 spacer 및 SEG 구조를 고려할 경우 구동전류는 증가하지만 아날로그 성능지표인 unity gain frequency는 total gate capacitance가 dominant하게 영향을 주기 때문에 동작 전압 영역에서 약 19.4 % 저하되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 구동전류가 큰 소자인 multi-fin FinFET에서 공정적 요소를 고려하지 않을 경우, 1-finger 구조를 2-finger로 바꾸면 아날로그 성능이 약 10 % 정도 개선되는 것으로 보이나, 공정적 요소를 고려 할 경우 multi-finger 구조의 게이트 연결방식을 최적화 및 gate 구조를 최적화 해야만 이상적인 아날로그 성능을 얻을 수 있다.

  • WCDMA용 SAW 필터를 제작하기 위하여 mathematica package를 이용한 모의 실험기를 개발하였으며, 전극재료로는 Al-Cu를 사용하였다. 모의실험한 자료를 바탕으로 전극에서 발생하는 ultimate rejection을 줄이기 위해 SFIT형태의 필터를 설계 및 제작하였다. 회절에 의한 현상을 최소화하기 위해 필터의 입력단은 block weighted IDT 형태로, 출력단은 withdrawal weighted IDT형태로 구성하였다. Langasite 기판위에 형성시킨 입 출력 빗살무늬 변환기 전극 수는 50쌍, 두께와 폭은 5000$\AA$와 1λ4(((equation omitted) 3.6$\mu\textrm{m}$)로 하였으며, IDT 전극 폭과 전극간격 은 각각 1λ/16와 1λ/8로 하였다. 제작한 SAW 필터의 특성은 중심주파수는 190MHz, 통과대역은 4MHz이며 저지대역은 -60dB이하로 측정되었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 송신 측이 전송한 데이터를 오류 없이 수신하기 위해 IEEE 802.16d 서 채택하고 있는 4가지 ARQ 기법을 전송오류가 빈번하게 발생하는 무선채널환경에서 성능을 분석하였다. NS-2 네트워크 시뮬레이터를 사용하여 성능평가를 위한 시뮬레이터를 구현하였고, 성능평가의 척도로 시뮬레이션 수행시간 동안 수신 측이 송신 측으로부터 오류 없이 순서대로 수신한 총 ARQ 블록의 바이트 수와 본 연구에서 새롭게 정의한 ACK-Efficiency를 사용하였다. 성능평가 결과에 따르면 각 ARQ 기법이 다양한 우선채널환경에 띠라 서로 상이한 성능을 제공함을 알 수 있었으며, 특정 채널환경에서 데이터 전송률을 높이기 위해서는 채널상태에 알맞은 ARQ 기법을 선택해야 하고, ARQ 기법의 적절한 ACK 전송주기를 선정하는 것이 중요함을 알 수 있었다.
