Attachment behaviors were measured with the Preschool Strange Situation(Cassidy and Marvin, 1992) and classified as secure, avoidant, dependent, or disorganized. Narrative representations of mothers by Children were obtained by video taped interviews using the MacArthur Story-Stem Battery and coded by the MacArthur Narrative Working Group(1997) system. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and t test. Results were that children in the secure group showed more positive representations of their mothers, more prosocial story themes, had higher scores in theme coherence and showed more positive emotional expression than those in the insecure group. The attachment behaviors of the 4 groups(A, B, C, D) were closely correlated with the attachment representations shown in MSSB.
The purpose of this study was to investigate how children's temperament and relationships with teachers affect their peer interaction. For this purpose, two surveys were conducted on mothers and teachers of 326 four- and five-year-old children attending four kindergartens in Gyeonggi Province. The data were analyzed by using PASW 18.0 to carry out hierarchical regression and post hocanalyses. The results showed that closeness to teachers moderated the effects of children's emotionality on their positive peer interaction. On the other hand, children's temperaments including emotionality and activity, and their relationship with teachers were directly influential on their negative peer interaction; no interaction effect was found between their temperament and relationships with teachers. It was concluded that the quality of teacher-child relationships could promote children's positive peer interaction while it could also reduce their negative interaction with peers. However, the temperament of children played limited roles in their negative peer interaction.

The results were as follows: First, girls' prosocial behavior was found to be higher than boys'. Second, boys' and girls' temperament were found to affect young children's prosocial behavior directly and indirectly through teacher-child relationship and emotion regulation. Third, teacher-child relationships was found to affect boys' prosocial behavior directly and to mediate between boys' temperament and emotion regulation and prosocial behavior. Additionally emotion regulation was found to be the most important variable predicting boys' and girls' prosocial behavior and to mediate between temperament and teacher-child relationship and prosocial behavior.
This study explored the changes in nutrition knowledge and eating habits formation of infants through vegetable gardening activities in early childhood education institutions. children from H nursery school located in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and H nursery school located in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, were divided into 18 experimental groups and 18 people from comparison group and pre-post analysis was conducted. The research tool analyzed the data collected using the nutrition knowledge measuring tool and the eating habits measuring tool using the program SPSS, and the analysis method was conducted with t-test(verification) to verify the homogeneity of the experimental group and the comparative group. Analysis result, first. Infants aged 3 to 4 in experimental groups who have experienced vegetable gardening activities have higher nutritional knowledge than infants in comparison groups. In the case of nutrition knowledge, there was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group before the vegetable gardening activities were carried out. But after the experimental treatment, the experimental group showed statistically significant differences in improving the concept of nutritional knowledge (the reason for eating food, the type and function of food, hygiene, and garden) in the post-examination of the comparative group. Second, it can be seen that infants aged 3 to 4 in experimental groups who experienced vegetable gardening activities showed significant differences in table manners and eating behavior among sub-factors of eating habits compared to infants in comparison groups who had never experienced them. In conclusion, vegetable gardening activities are educationally useful in terms of expecting positive changes in the nutrition knowledge and eating habits formation of infants.
The purpose of this study was to examine any possible gaps between the recognition of early childhood teachers on instructional planning elements and their implementation. The subjects in this study were 341 teachers who worked in Province. The collected data were analyzed by paired t-test, one-way ANOVA - test. The alpha coefficients of the instruments were 0.92 and 0.94 respectively, which showed the instruments were both reliable. The teachers investigated scored high when a four-point scale was utilized, but they scored lower in implementation than in recognition. In conclusion, teachers were well aware of instructional planning elements and performed well, but they had more difficulties in implementation than in recognition. When their recognition and implementation were evaluated by the type of institution and preschooler age in charge, the national and public kindergarten teachers were rated highest, and those who were in charge of five-year- olds in Western age were rated highest. The above-mentioned findings suggest that it's necessary to take actions to boost the recognition and implementation of teachers in relation to instructional planning elements.

The purpose of this study was to look into the perception, experience, treatment of early childhood caries (ECC) and influential factors of perception in order to provide basic data useful for preventing the ECC by examining the relationship between oral health of young children in infancy and mother. In this study, 277 mothers were surveyed who had children in children under 6 years old and visiting the pediatrics, day care center, and pediatric dental clinics located in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do from July 10, 2013 to September 5 of the same year. The results obtained from the survey were analyzed through chi-square test, t-test, and binary logistic regression analysis by using the SPSS 18.0, a statistical program. The results of analysis showed that ECC in children under 6 years old was associated with mother's age, education background of mothers, number of children and monthly income and had a significant correlation with mother's oral health-related knowledge and oral health care of their children. Thus, it would be necessary to develop oral health education programs and implement such oral health education programs at a national level on a regular basis for the mothers of young children in infancy and would-be mothers in order to reduce the ECC in infancy and promote oral health.
