The Method of Simplifying TDM/FDM Translation System and the Reduction of the Translation Time (TDM/FDM 변환 장치의 단순화 방법의 변환 시간의 단축)

  • Four new types of TDM/FDM translation system are proposed in this paper. In the proposed system, the periodically time varying filters (P.V.F) are used in order to modify the general TDM/FDM conversion systems. The new systems have the simple structure as compared with the existing systems and the multiplication rate is reduced to about 2.0${\times}$10 multiplications/s$.$channel. It is verified by the computer simulation that the proposed systems can be used as 12-channel TDM/FDM translation systems.

  • As a part of automatic car parking, this paper have devised the distance measurement algorism using stereo vision system which measure between object and parking lot. In this simulation, laser pointer is used for detecting edge of designated object and real distance is measured by searching the position of laser pointer and measuring the distance. Which are 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3m and adjusted correction had applied in order for use in car parking system.

  • One of the areas in the continuous casting process that up to this point, has not been definitively instrumented is a method of reliably locating the part of a continuously cast strand that remains liquid for a period after the outer portion has solidified. To solve the problem. Electromagnetic Trandsducers(EMAT) which operate across an air gap without the need for a coupling medium has been developed. The system was designed to employ a through transmission technique which enhanced the signal-to-noise ratio. The Al 75$\times$75mm and 75$\times$100mm simulators with 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 mm hole respectively has been produced in order to verify the developed EMAT system and to measure to liquid core in continuous casting strand. The system developed can be employed for the optimization of torch cutting speed and for the final cut length of the bloom as well as calculation of average bloom temperature.

  • Abnormal situation caused by aggressive behavior of pigs adversely affects the growth of pigs, and comes with an economic loss in intensive pigsties. Therefore, IT-based video surveillance system is needed to monitor the abnormal situations in pigsty continuously in order to minimize the economic demage. Recently, some advances have been made in pig monitoring; however, detecting each pig is still challenging problem. In this paper, we propose a new color image-based monitoring system for the detection of the individual pig using a fast region-based convolution neural network with consideration of detecting touching pigs in a crowed pigsty. The experimental results with the color images obtained from a pig farm located in Sejong city illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • An analysis is presented for the response of a beam constrained by a nonlinear spring to a harmonic excitation. The system is governed by a linear partial differential equation with a nonlinear boundary condition. The method of multiple scales is used to reduce the nonlinear boundary value problem to a system of autonomous ordinary differential equations of the amplitudes and phases. The case of the third-order subharmonic resonance is considered in this study. The autonomous system is used to determine the steady-state responses and their stability.

Development of Automatic System for Diagnosis of Mastitis in Dairy Cattle (유방염 자동진단시스템 개발)

  • These studies were Performed to provide some basic informations for developing an automatic system in dairy farming in order that the farmers may easily and automatically detect the mastitis. Electrical conductivity of each milk sample was measured by micro-ohm meter and also the number of somatic cell was detected by somecounter. The major microorganisms causing mastitis were also investigated. The rate of infected cattle with mastitis was 33.0% among 2,540 dairy cattle and the rate of infected quarters with mastitis was 13.9 % among 9.660 quarters. When the number of somatic cell was under lost electrical conductivity of the milk was 0.073, whereas number of somatic cell was over $3{\times}10^{6}$, electrical conductivity was increased by 0.167. When electrical conductivity of milk was over 0.073, the cattle was diagnosised as mastitis. The major micmorganisms of mastitis were Staphylococcus spp. (55-60%) and Streptococcus spp. (15-20%).

  • This study is proposed to develop a numerical interaction model of the magnetically levitated(maglev) train and guideway. For this purpose, equation of motion for 6-DOF vehicle model, EMS, guideway and guideway irregularity are derived as the state-space equation. In order to solve the state space equations, the present work was performed via matlab simulation using Runge-Kutta method. Through the simulation, the effect of dynamic response of maglev system to different vehicle speeds, guideway rigidity(EI) and masses is investigated.

  • As the geographical information changes continuously, it has been difficult to manage it in consistent manner. Especially different terminologies are often used for describing the same object. These characteristics of geographical information make the information search be very unproductive. Recently, it is widely recognized that capturing more knowledge is the next step to overcome the current difficulties on sharing geographical information. In this paper, we utilize the ontology concept in order to facilitate information search for geographical data in the internet environment. A prototype of search system implemented using the ontology for river-related data is presented.

Dynamic Simulation of Underwater Vehicle-Manipulator Systems Using Principle of Dynamical Balance (동적 발란스의 원리를 이용한 수중 잠수정-매니퓰레이터 시스템의 동역학 시뮬레이션)

  • In this paper, two schemes are introduced for dynamic simulation of underwater robotic systems. One is principle of dynamical balance, which is an easy and powerful tool for formulating dynamic equations of composite systems such as underwater vehicle-manipulator system. In the dynamic modeling, this principle gives us the closed-form of dynamic equations on matrix Lie group. The other is geometric integration algorithm, called 4-th order explicit Munthe-Kaas method. By this method, the derived differential equations can be integrated preserving geometric structure. Adopting these two schemes, dynamic simulation of underwater vehicle- manipulator system can be conducted more easily and more reliably.

  • Harmful contents on a mobile platform are becoming serious problems to young people due to the prevalence of smart phones with the fast development of mobile technology. Mobile applications and contents are so much optimized on the mobile environment that young men are exposed to many harmful contents. A system for blocking harmful contents is suggested in this study. The system includes a local proxy function, filtering module, and local database in order to increase the blocking efficiency. The local proxy function and the filtering module are implemented on an Android platform, and the local database are running on a PC-based server. The suggested system perfectly blocks harmful contents, and shows relatively high speed.
