Vertical Evacuation Speed in Stairwell of a High-rise Office Building (업무용 고층건물 계단실의 보행속도에 관한 연구)

  • As building height is increased, more careful decisions about the required safe egress time is needed for evacuation. This study analyzed the influence of three training sessions on the vertical speed of evacuation in the high rise building. Evacuation experiments were done in a high-rise office building in Seoul, and we analyzed the vertical evacuation speed as a function of density using a camera. Controlled and uncontrolled total evacuation were compared using the Pathfinder simulation. The process of repeated training, changed the specific stair utilization rate from 6.3% to 39.5%. The vertical evacuation speed as a function of density was analyzed using the equation s = 1.004 ? 0.288D, which is very similar to the equation used in a different study. The total evacuation time of the special controlled total evacuation was reduced by about 25% compared to the simultaneous evacuation.

  • The war simulation systems in Republic of Korea Army have been getting more and more important because soldiers can effectively and efficiently learn and share their war-related knowledge based on the interactions through the systems. But, up to now, the access to the war simulation systems has been limited to only soldiers. So, little research on them has been conducted. This study explores the effects of the antecedents to the flow experience and the characteristics of the systems on soldiers' intentions to use them. Based on the 118 samples collected from officers in Republic of Korea Army, this study empirically shows the logical reality of the war simulation systems and the flow experience positively influence soldiers' intentions to use the systems and the clarified goals, feedbacks, and the levels of the missions in the systems are significant antecedents to the flow experience. Useful implications are presented and discussed based on the new findings.

  • 우리나라를 비롯한 전 세계의 최근 물동량 증가로 우리나라 항만에 입출항 척수가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 이로 인해 연안 해역뿐만 아니라 원양 해역에서도 선박간의 조우 상황이 다수 발생하고 있으며, 특히 국내 연안 해역은 빈번한 선박 조우로 인한 해양사고 발생이 상당히 빈번하게 발생하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 선박 및 해양 관련 업무 종사자들의 인적과실로 인한 해양사고를 예방하고, 해기인력의 질 향상을 위한 기초연구에 그 목적이 있다. 또한 이 연구를 통하여 해기인력의 해양사고예방을 위한 기존 시스템의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어적인 측면에서 미흡한 부분을 보완하는 자료로 활용하고, 해기인력의 운항능력향상에 중점을 둔 기존 IT기반 시뮬레이터의 문제점과 개선 방안 등을 기초로 향후 해양사고 예방용 통합 시뮬레이션 개발의 주요자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Training Feedback effect of team-based CPR using a mobile video recording device body camera (이동용 영상촬영기기 바디캠을 활용한 팀단위 심폐소생술의 교육피드백 효과)

  • This study conducted a team-based CPR simulation with 32 fourth-year emergency rescue students to determine the effectiveness of training feedback using body cameras used at emergency rescue sites, and measured awareness, training feedback effectiveness, and satisfactio+n before and after body camera feedback. , preferences and difficulties in using body camera devices were identified. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 27.0 program, including descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, paried t-test, and Wilcoxon signed rank test. As a result of the study, the perception of body camera use showed a positive change from 3.73±0.62 points to 4.45±0.54 points, and a positive satisfaction level of 3.98±0.51 was shown (p<.001). Additionally, there was a significant increase in self-check accuracy and performance score after body camera feedback (p<.001). Therefore, during team-based simulation resuscitation training, positive feedback effects in improving self-inspection ability and performance can be achieved by watching body camera videos and using self-checklists without direct feedback from the instructor.

  • 기존의 웹 디자인은 웹이라는 매체의 특성 상 디자인적인 요소가 매우 중요함에도 불구하고 디자인은 위한 구체적인 방법론이 미약하다. 특히, 많은 소비자들을 유인하고 구매를 촉발시켜야 하는 인터넷 쇼핑몰의 경우에는 더욱 더 그럼하에도 불구하고 이를 위한 전략적인 방법론이 부족하다. 즉, 기존 연구들은 제품의 다양성, 서비스, 촉진, 항해량, 편리성, 사용자 인터페이스 등이 중요하다고 하였지만 실제 인터넷 쇼핑몰을 디자인하는 입장에서는 활용하기가 상당히 애매하다. 그 이유는 이들 요인들은 서로 영향관계를 가지고 있어서 사용자 인터페이스가 복잡하면 항해량이 늘어나 편리성이 감소하고, 제품이 늘어나더라도 검색엔진을 사용하면 상대적으로 항해량이 감소하게 되어 편리성이 증가한다. 따라서, 이들 요인을 활용하여 인터넷 쇼핑몰을 구축하려면 요인간의 영향관계를 면밀히 파악하고 이 영향요인이 소비자의 구매행동에 어떠한 영향을 주는지가 충분히 검토되어야 한다.이에 본 연구에서는 퍼지인식도를 이용하여 인터넷 쇼핑몰 상에서 소비자의 구매행동에 영향을 주는 요인을 추출하고 이들 요인간의 인과관계를 도출하여 보다 구체적이고 전략적으로 인터넷 쇼핑몰을 디자인할 수 있는 방법으로 web-Cogmulator를 제시한다. Web-Cogmulator는 소비자의 쇼핑몰에 대한 암묵지식 형태의 구매행동을 형태지식화하여 지식베이스 형태로 가지고 있기 때문에 인터넷 쇼핑몰의 다양한 요인의 변화에 따른 소비자의 구매행동을 추론 시뮬레이션하는 것이 가능하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기본적인 인터넷 쇼핑몰 시나리오를 바탕으로 추론 시뮬레이션을 실시하여 Web-Cogmulator의 유용성을 검증하였다.를, 지지도(support), 신뢰도(confidence), 리프트(lift), 컨빅션(conviction)등의 관계를 통해 다양한 방법으로 모색해본다. 이 연구에서 제안하는 이러한 개념계층상의 흥미로운 부분의 탐색은, 전자 상거래에서의 CRM(Customer Relationship Management)나 틈새시장(niche market) 마케팅 등에 적용가능하리라 여겨진다.선의 효과가 나타났다. 표본기업들을 훈련과 시험용으로 구분하여 분석한 결과는 전체적으로 재무/비재무적 지표를 고려한 인공신경망기법의 예측적중률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 로지스틱회귀 분석의 재무적 지표모형은 훈련, 시험용이 84.45%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형은 84.45%, 85.08%로서 거의 동일한 예측적중률을 가졌으나 인공신경망기법 분석에서는 재무적 지표모형이 92.23%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형에서는 91.12%, 88.06%로서 향상된 예측적중률을 나타내었다.ting LMS according to increasing the step-size parameter $\mu$ in the experimentally computed. learning curve. Simulation Methods Development for a Plant Unit Master Control Logic Using Simulink in MATLAB (매트랩 시뮬링크를 이용한 플랜트 유닛마스터 제어로직 시뮬레이션 기법 개발)

  • The simulators for a plant unit master control (UMC) developed by domestic or overseas researchers have been developed for operator-training purposes. UMC simulators normally constructed at the end of the plant construction, despite the UMC logics, should be simulated to pre-check many signal interfaces within the power generation systems. Because of the differences in construction schedule, it is difficult for logic designers or commissioning engineers to simulate the UMC logic during the design or commissioning stage. In this background, this paper proposes a simulation method that can be used easily by plant logic designers or operators in the MATLAB Simulink programming environment. The core of the UMC is realized with a unique simulation algorithm based on mathematical analysis and functional blocks combination. In addition, an integer-based configuration was proposed to realize the plant target value control for the equipment in the logic. With these simulation methods, functions, e.g., load distribution, high-low limitations, frequency compensation, etc. were simulated. The results showed that the plant UMC logic can be simulated in Simulink without a plant simulator. The various functions proposed in this paper can provide useful information about Simulink-based simulation design for plant logic designers or commissioning engineers during the power plant construction period.

Necessity to incorporate XR-based Training Contents Focused on Cable pulling using Winches in the Shipbuilding (윈치를 활용한 케이블 포설을 중심으로 고찰한 XR 기반 훈련 콘텐츠 도입의 필요성)

  • This paper has suggested the necessity of introducing training contents using XR(Extended reality) technology as a way to lower the high rate of nursing accidents among unskilled technical personnel in domestic shipbuilding industry, focusing on cable pulling using winch. The occurrence rate of nursing accidents in the domestic shipbuilding industry was almost double(197.4%) (2017~2020) when compared with other manufacturing industries. In particular, it is worth noting that more than 31.8% of nursing accidents in the shipbuilding industry occurred among workers whose job experience is no more than 6 months. Most of new workers are seen to have hard time due to several factors such as lack of work information, inexperience, and unfamiliarity with the working environments. This indicates that it is essential to incorporate more effective training method that could help new workers become familiar with technical skills as well as working environments in a short period of time. Currently, education/training at the domestic shipyard is biased toward technical skills such as welding, painting, machine installation, and electrical installation. Contrary, even more important training required to get new workers used to the working environment has remained at a superficial level such as explaining ship building processes using 2D drawings. This may be the reason why it is inevitable to repeat similar training at OJT (On-the-Job Training) even at the leading domestic companies. Domestic shipbuilding industries have been attracting a lot of new workers thanks to recent economic recovery, which is very likely to increase the occurrence of disasters. In this paper, the introduction of training using XR technology was proposed, and as a specific example, the process of pulling cables using winches on ships was implemented as XR-based training content by using Unity. Using the developed content, it demonstrated that new workers can experience the actual work process in advance through simulation in a virtual space, thereby becoming more effective training content that can help new workers become familiar with the work environment.

  • LVC(live-virtual-constructive) integrated training system is a representative cyber-physical system. Each systems in a LVC system has different time domain, resolution and operation methods. So, it is very important to integrate different middlewares as a common middleware for heterogeneous systems using inter-working GWs. Especially, since the LVC system uses different time, it is necessary to study the method for guaranteeing causality and time synchronization among the events from different systems. In this study, we propose an time synchronization scheme to integrate the virtual and constructive system which use the simulation time of HLA (High Level Architecture)/ RTI (Run Time Infrastructure) into the live system based on the OMG DDS (Data Distribution Service). We propose a precise time synchronization scheme based on HLA time management and clock federate between participants and federates which are the communication objects of DDS and HLA/RTI respectively. In addition, we verified that time is well-synchronized among heterogeneous systems using the suggested scheme by implementing and demonstrating simulation applications on each middleware.

  • CMA (Constant Modulus Algorithm) is one of the well-known algorithms in blind acoustic channel equalization. Generally, CMA converges slowly and the speed of convergence is dependent on a step-size in the CMA procedure. Many researches have tried to speed up the convergence speed by applying a variable step-size to CMA, e.g. the orthogonal projection CMA and algebraic optimal step-size CMA. In this paper, we summarize these two algorithms, and we propose a new CMA with improved convergence performance. The improvement comes from the switching between the orthogonal projection CMA and algebraic optimal step-size CMA. In simulation results, we show the performance improvement in the time invariant channels as well as in time varying channel.

Development of Cholecystectomy Simulation for Laparoscopic Surgery Training (복강경수술 훈련용 담낭 절제술 시뮬레이션 개발)

  • Laparoscopic surgery is a surgical procedure which uses long laparoscopic instruments through tiny holes in abdomen while watching images from a laparoscopic camera through umbilicus. Laparoscopic surgeries have many advantages rather than open surgeries, however it is hard to learn the surgical skills for laparoscopic surgery. Recently, some virtual simulation systems for laparoscopic surgery are developed to train novice surgeons or resident surgeons. In this study, we introduce the techniques that we developed for laparoscopic surgical training simulator for cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal), which is one of the most frequently performed by laparoscopic surgery. The techniques for cholecystectomy simulation include modeling of human organs (liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, etc.), real-time deformable body calculation, realistic 3D visualization of surgical scene, high-fidelity haptic rendering and haptic device technology, and so on. We propose each simulation technique for the laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedures such as identifying cystic duct and cystic artery to clamp and cut, dissecting connective tissues between the gallbladder and liver. In this paper, we describe the techniques and discuss about the results of the proposed cholecystectomy simulation for laparoscopic surgical training.
