Development of Scale for College Students' Social Network (대학생 연줄망 측정을 위한 척도 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a scale for the social network of college students in Korea. The social network scale for college students in this paper was developed through 1) literature review and item development 2) focus-group meeting 3) depth-interview with college students 4) pilot-studies and 5) study. The scale of 23 items has been constructed with three features : The first is 'relational feature' with 2 items; the second 'structural feature' with 7 items; and the third 'functional feature' with 14 items. The functional feature in this social network scale has consisted of emotional, economic, spiritual, and socio-relational aspects and has been revealed to the validity and the reliability of Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ 0.716. This study would contribute for college students to solve the many problems in their own lives through the social networks.

The Study on the Development of the Measurement Tool and Analysis of Self Images for Teacher Librarians (사서교사의 자아상 검사 도구 개발과 자아상 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a measurement tool for self-image of the teacher librarian by semantic differential meaning scale and to analyse the correlation between their self-image and individual characteristics. This study suggests that the teacher librarians have regarded themselves as friendly, planned, sensitive and cooperative persons as well as persons with discernment. On the other hand, there are some negative self-images such as partial, poor and uninfluential persons plus disregarder and a reserved persons. The educational career of teacher librarians' background has influence on evaluation area of the self-image. This result shows that senior teacher librarians' role performance as a adviser or a leader is very important. So mediator role of KLA and KSLA has to be reinforced to beat the exchange and collaboration between the senior and the junior teacher librarians. It is necessary to appoint the teacher librarians obligatorily in oder to feel their professional security and sense of achievement, also to appreciate expertise of them through role clarification among the human resources of the school library.

A Study on the Communication System Design for Auditory Disabled (청각장애인을 위한 의사소통 시스템 디자인 연구)

  • This study aims to develop communication devices and interfaces to address the communication needs of the hearing impaired. Through three FGI (Focused Group Interview)s with deaf persons and sign-language interpreters, we studied the communication methods, devices, and needs of the deaf. On the basis of our analysis, we propose a communication framework to improve their means of communication with normal or other deaf persons. We have designed a communication system that is based on the proposed framework: this system suggests functions for remote sign-language interpretation services for conversations in close-range and over the phone. Details are presented regarding the design of interfaces for video calls, text messages, and digital memos, addressing the conversation patterns of the deaf. The system includes hardware form factors for video phones that facilitate sign language conversations and also mitigate other auditory problems in daily life, such as problems with door bells. The design concept has been verified through a test with six deaf users.

  • Preparing the 4th industrial revolution age, a diagnostic assessment management system which can collect nationwide data has been implemented and utilized for the development of the evidence-based educational policy. This study aims to develop heuristics to help to improve usability of such systems, which are utilized by primary and middle school community including teachers and students in the nationwide. To achieve the objective, previous studies related to the development of heuristics in the educational contexts as well as basic heuristics from Nielsen were reviewed, and usability problems of the web-based diagnostic-supplement system being currently utilized, as a sample system, were analyzed. Then, the first version of heuristics was developed. The developed heuristics were validated and revised through 2 rounds of the delphi methods with 15 experts. This study has an implication with preparing foundations on improving usability of such diagnostic assessment management system utilized by school community at the nationwide in educational contexts.

Optimal Coding Model for Screen Contents Applications from the Coding Performance Analysis of High Efficient Coding Tools in HEVC (HEVC 고성능 압축 도구들의 성능 분석을 통한 스크린 콘텐츠 응용 최적 부호화 모델)

  • Screen content refers to images or videos generated by various electronic devices such as computers or mobile phones, whereas natural content refers to images captured by cameras. Screen contents show different statistical characteristics from natural images, so the conventional video codecs which were developed mainly for the coding of natural videos cannot guarantee good coding performances for screen contents. Recently, researches on efficient SCC(Screen Content Coding) are being actively studied, and especially at ongoing JCT-VC(Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding) meeting for HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) standard, SCC issues are being discussed steadily. In this paper, we analyze the performances of high efficient coding tools in HM(HEVC Test Model) on SCC, and present an optimized SCC model based on the analysis results. We also present the characteristics of screen contents and the future research issues as well.

The Convergence of Habermas' Communicative Action Theory and Public Relations (하버마스 의사소통 합리성과 PR커뮤니케이션 의미의 확장)

  • The purpose of this essay is to converge the theory of communicative action Into the new paradigm of 'public relations democracy.' The notions of communicative action rationality, the public sphere, and deliberative democracy led new public relations paradigm approaches including meaning sharing, media access enlargement, and theoretical ramifications for the powerless. As Habermas prospected the power of comprehensive rationality to solve post-capitalist problems, the paradigm of public relations democracy visions the new era of public relations equipped with rhetorical and critical approaches. The new paradigm tries to overcome functional fallacy and embraces the concept of public interest. The paradigm of public relations democracy aims at integrating all three levels of public relations activities such as individual, organizational, and social levels, and pursues to enlarge the public sphere through increasing communicative actions and resolving social conflicts. Habermas's critical theory exhibits an opportunity for public relations theory building.

A Field Experimental Study on the Effects of Coaching on Emotional Intelligence and Communication Competence (융합형 코칭이 감성지능과 커뮤니케이션 역량에 미치는 효과에 대한 현장실험연구)

  • The purpose of this field experimental study investigated the positive effects of coaching on emotional intelligence and communication competence. The experimental group(39 university students) had to two months of coaching education and four face-to-face coaching sessions. The control group(39 university students) did not have any coaching education and coaching sessions. To conduct ANCOVA, pre-measurement scores for each dependent variables, emotional intelligence and communication competence, were included as covariates and post-measurement scores were included as dependent variables. In control group, there was no difference between before and after measurement for each dependent variables. However, there was statistically significant difference between before and after measurement for each dependent variables in experimental group. This result confirmed that coaching caused increase in the level of emotional intelligence and communication ability.

Developing the Questionnaire to Measure the Perception of the Norms of Science and Applying to Pre-service Science Teachers (과학 규범에 관한 인식 측정 도구 개발 및 예비 과학교사 대상 적용)

  • This study aims to develop and apply questionnaire to identify pre-service science teachers' level of norms of science based on CUDOs, a scientific norm presented by R. Merton. In addition, we compared the pre-service science teachers' perception of scientific norm by major, grade, and gender, and analyzed the types of scientific norms through cluster analysis. For the study, 260 pre-service science teachers from two universities were involved. First, based on the CUDOs of R. Merton, 32 questionnaire items from six domains (pursuit of personal interests through scientific research, the pursuit of national interests through scientific research, pursuit of universal welfare through scientific research, non-communalism, non-universalism, and anti-organized skepticism) were developed. The study found that the statistical validity and reliability of the questionnaire items were acceptable. There were no significant differences in the scores of pre-service science teachers' anti-scientific norm by gender, major, and academic year. We conducted a cluster analysis and identified three types of scientific norms (traditional scientific norm, modern pragmatism, and utilitarian views).

  • In the information society, all the information is transferred through the network, so it becomes an issue to protect the data on network. One of the fundamental cryptographic tools to protect the data on network, is digital signatures, and in many countries, cryptographers have been trying to make their own digital signature standard. Also, at Crypto'89 meeting, D.Chaum suggested an undeniable signature scheme. Undeniable signatures are verified via a protocol between the signer and the verifier, so the cooperation of the signer is necessary, So far, there have been several variants of undeniable signatures to obtain a signature scheme, which can control the abuse of ordinary digital signatures.

  • 정서와 생리반응 (자율신경계 반응) 간의 관계에 관하여 성인을 대상으로 최근가지 많은 연구가 행해져 왔다. 본 연구에서는 동일한 실험참여자를 대상으로 일정 기간 동안 여러 회의 반복실험을 통해 정서(기쁨, 슬픔, 분노, 공포, 혐오)에 따른 자율신경계의 반응의 일관성과 정서별 자율신경계 반응 패턴을 규명하고자 하였다. 본 실험에 앞서 저서를 유발하기 우한 도구인 정서유발자극세트와 정서에 대한 심리반응을 평가하기 위한 정서평가척도가 제작되었다. 정서유발자극세트는 2-4분 정도의 각 정서 장면이 포함된 총 5개의 동영상 장면들이다. 예비실험을 통해 70% 이상의 적합성 및 효과성을 가진 4개의 세트를 추출하여 본 실험에 사용하였다. 본 실험은 남녀 대학생 12명을 대상으로 4회 반복해서 실시되었다. 실험참여자들은 각 정서 장면을 시청 후, 유발된 정서에 대한 심리적인 평가를 하였다. 측정한 자율신경계 생리반응 변수는 ECG, PPG, EDA, SKT이었다. 연구 결과, 심리반응에서 정서유발자극세트는 75% 이상의 적합성 및 효과성을 보였다. 생리반응(ECG, EDA) 분석 결과, 정서에 따른 자율신경계 반응은 회기별로 일관적이었으며, 각 정서별로 특정적인 생리반응 패턴을 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
