Study sample consisted of 41 elderly women residing in the G province of C region who participated in swimming activities at least 3 times per week for one or more years, and 43 elderly women of the same area who did not participate in swimming activities. Data was collected over the course of 6 weeks. Analysis of the data showed that there are significant differences between participants and non-participants of swimming activities in their physical well-being(pain, flexibility), psychological well-being(perceived health status, depression), and their social well-being(strengthened interpersonal relations). In other words, participants of swimming activities, compared to non-participants, were in better physical, psychological, and social conditions. Thus, active encouragement and support must be in place for elderly women in rural areas to engage in swimming activities by utilizing local swimming facilities.

  • The policy regarding school sport club participation that was implemented in 2007 to mitigate reductions in fitness has been reported to be satisfactory at improving the physical, mental, and social health of elementary, middle, and high school students by the students as well as by their teachers and parents. The purpose of this systematic review is to investigate the association between participation in school sport club and character-building among adolescents in Korea, and to provide evidence to inform physical education policies in the future. Using "School Sport Club" as the key word, the Korean electronic databases were searched, and this systematic review included a total of 13 articles. School sport club participation among school students is closely correlated to character-building, prevention of school violence, attitude towards life and attitude toward education. The findings of this study support the Ministry of Education's new policy (2015) to extend and expand school sport club participation and highlights the importance of physical activity.

In this context, for quality enhancement of engineering education, it is necessary to pay attention not only learning achievement, educational conditions and environment, but also how students learn. The purpose of this study is checking learning activity in class of Engineering college students and proposing teaching and learning support for promoting learning activity in class. The result of this study is engineering college students were participate in highly only activity is called to professor, but self-directed learning engagements was less than. Activity of promoted thinking about task execution implemented frequently, but activity of critical thinking and applied everyday life were less than. In class students cooperated with colleague learner actively, they had sincere attitude about class. Based on these results, in order to promote learning activity in class, it is necessary sufficient teaching-learning support for learner's self-directed learning and enhancing thinking skills.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing vocational training participation among individuals aged 65 and older in order to enhance their employability. According to the research findings, the educational background and economic activity status of the elderly significantly impact their participation in vocational training. It was confirmed that economic activity and vocational training are closely related to the capacity development and increased employability of the elderly. Moreover, a considerable number of elderly individuals express a continued desire to work, and this group tends to participate more in vocational training. This underscores the importance of promoting vocational training among the elderly and developing suitable models, which holds significant policy implications. Logistic regression analysis revealed that gender, education, economic activity, desire to work, and pension income affect participation in vocational training. This highlights the necessity of formulating specific strategies in government support policies, particularly for those with lower educational backgrounds. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of approaches that encourage vocational training participation, especially among those with lower pension income.

  • For construction companies to become competitive innovative, cost management as well as process improvement are required. Activity-based costing (ABC), which uses cost information to support long-term decision-making, is a tool that enhances a company's competitiveness. In this study, we compare and analyze tradition-based costing (TBC) and ABC to confirm the adequacy of performance-based costing. In addition, we will empirically examine the relationship between the impact of the reward system using ABC on employee satisfaction and involvement. In research results, the influence of the reward system on employee involvement appeared in the order of intrinsic reward (𝛽 = 0.338) and extrinsic reward (𝛽 = 0.308). In addition, the reward system showed positive (+) effects on employee satisfaction, with influence appearing in the order of intrinsic reward (𝛽 = 0.360) and extrinsic reward (𝛽 = 0.337). And employee satisfaction (𝛽 = 0.225) had a positive effect on involvement. We were able to confirm that it is necessary to build a reward system consisting of intrinsic and extrinsic rewards to increase employee satisfaction and involvement.

  • This study explored the experiences and difficulties of science teachers who participated in overseas educational voluntary activities. Seven science teachers who had visited Timor-Leste participated in the study. All collected data including the teacher interview were analyzed. As a result, teachers visited Timor-Leste to fulfill social roles and to meet the expectations of others. After returning from Timor-Leste, the teachers regained their passion for teaching and gained confidence in taking on new challenges. Teachers had difficulties in conducting seminars due to the unstable social situation and lack of awareness of Timor-Leste teachers, and experienced communication limitations due to language barriers. Nevertheless, teachers cooperate with local priest to improve these limitations. In addition, teachers supplemented the limitations caused by the non-establishment of the curriculum through the evaluation meeting. In order to improve teaching expertise and promote active participation of Timor-Leste teachers, the seminar method was modified. The experience of volunteering in Timor-Leste made teachers think about the importance of cooperation and the necessity of education. Based on the above results, we discussed ways to activate voluntary service.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of responsive teaching on students' productive argumentation practice. The participating students predicted the results of an activity to measure in which location on the body (the head, spine, or back of the hand) they would feel a cellphone's vibrations faster. They then engaged in the activity and built an argument to justify it. We interviewed the teacher to understand her thoughts regarding what was expected in the class. We also recorded and transcribed the class and the interview, for use in the analysis of the students' epistemological framing and the teacher's responsive practice in small group argumentation. We discovered that the teacher intervened in the groups with questions that elicited students' thoughts as starting points for her responsive practice. Her eliciting questions led the students to talk about their ideas, supporting their engagement in the argumentation. The teacher's understanding of the argumentation lesson and her behavior to understand the students' ideas reflected her productive framing, which led her to elicit students' ideas and to support their active interaction during the small-group argumentation. She presented rebuttals against students' ideas, engaging in the argumentation as another participant, not as an evaluator. This supported the equality of intellectual authority in the group and showed students how to engage in the argumentation, supporting students' productive framing. As a result of these responsive teaching practices, the students shifted their epistemological framing, resulting in productive argumentation practice. The results of this study will contribute to developing teachers' responsive teaching strategies to support students' productive framing in science classrooms.
