Implications for Teacher Education through Pre-Service Science Teachers' Perception and Practice Cases on Online Formative Assessment (온라인 형성평가에 대한 예비 과학교사의 인식과 실행 사례를 통해 살펴본 교사 교육의 시사점)

  • This study aims to reveal what is necessary for pre-service science teachers to make good use of online formative assessment in the context of online classes. For 22 pre-service physics teachers, first, the preliminary perception of online classes, online formative assessment, and formative assessment was investigated; second, the practice process of online formative assessment was examined. Then the differences between perception and practice were compared and analyzed. Data were collected in preliminary surveys, lesson plans, online formative assessment items, and interview data. As a result of the study, an interaction was mentioned as the difficulty of online classes in the preliminary perception, and pre-service teachers mentioned the use of technology, feedback, and adjustment as advantages of online formative assessment. In most cases of practice, the automated feedback was used using the platform's technology, but it did not lead to adjustment and interaction. In addition, the use of items in online formative assessment was not suitable for formative functions. The reason why the interaction using formative feedback did not occur seems to be because the understanding of formative assessment was insufficient. Pre-service teachers need to be prepared for the 'formative' function through the feedback of online formative assessment so that can lead to interaction in online classes. The shift to online classes is creating difficulties, especially in interaction. It is necessary to prepare and educate pre-service teachers on fundamental aspects that can overcome these difficulties.

  • 본 연구에서는 초기하적 구조라 할 수 있는 하이퍼미디어 구조로 가진 계열성을 넘어선 상호작용적 수업구조의 틀로서 하이퍼미디어를 이용하였다. 이를 컴퓨터 보조 수업이 교수이론의 최근 동향 중에 하나인 개별 학습별 수업의 요구에 부응하여 학습자와 상호작용이 가능하며 즉각적인 피드백을 통해 학습자에게 적절한 자극을 줌으로써 학습의욕의 고취를 강화할 수 있고 학습자의 능력에 따라 학습의 속도를 조절이 가능하여서 개별학습의 효과를 높일 수 있음을 살려보았다. 특히 문자, 그래픽, 영상, 음향, 음성 그리고 비디오 등과 같은 여러 미디어를 병합시켜 표현하는 멀티미디어를 교육에 적용시킨 하이퍼미디어 학습 코스웨어는 학습자의 주의력과 상상력을 키워 줄수 있으며 학습자가 학습에 흥미를 갖고 학습과정에 능동적으로 참여할 수 있도록 하며 적극적으로 원하는 정보를 선정하고 학습 순서 를 조정하는 등 학습 동기가 높은 상호 작용적 학습 환경을 창조하고 자신에게 적합하게 여러 주제로 이동하고 정보를 연결해 보다 융통성 있는 시스템을 이용함으로써 학습의 효과를 높일 수 있음을 살펴보았다.

Strengthening Teacher Competencies in Response to the Expanding Role of AI (AI의 역할 확대에 따른 교사 역량 강화 방안)

  • This study investigates the changes in teachers' roles as the impact of AI on school education expands. Traditionally, teachers have been responsible for core aspects of classroom instruction, curriculum development, assessment, and feedback. AI can automate these processes, particularly enhancing efficiency through personalized learning. AI also supports complex classroom management tasks such as student tracking, behavior detection, and group activity analysis using integrated camera and microphone systems. However, AI struggles to automate aspects of counseling and interpersonal communication, which are crucial in student life guidance. While direct conversational replacement by AI is challenging, AI can assist teachers by providing data-driven insights and pre-conversation resources. Key competencies required for teachers in the AI era include expertise in advanced instructional methods, dataset analysis, personalized learning facilitation, student and parent counseling, and AI digital literacy. Teachers should collaborate with AI to emphasize creativity, adjust personalized learning paths based on AI-generated datasets, and focus on areas less amenable to AI automation, such as individualized learning and counseling. Essential skills include AI digital literacy and proficiency in understanding and managing student data.

  • In this study, convergence art education which Based on the overall understanding of color, which is a field of science, the lecture model was constructed in order to operate a fusion curriculum which can be practically expressed by applying it to the artistic field of floral design. The learner was satisfied with the composition of the two lectures (floral design, color) and the way of conducting theory and practice. In addition, they felt that was able to access various areas through one subject. This indicates that learners themselves perceive the purpose and necessity of this study. On the other hand, it is pointed out that the background knowledge level between the majors and the non - majors is different. therefore Continuous feedback and adjustment of the degree of difficulty of the training seems to be necessary to enhance the learner's understanding. In order to develop the floral design, the curriculum development and education model should be built through convergence of various sciences. It is expected that this study will be used as basic data for the development of the curriculum for the artistic design education.

Reconsideration on the Scientific Educational Validity of EBS Education Broadcasting (EBS 교육방송 강의의 과학교육적 타당성에 관한 재고)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the educational validity of EBS education broadcasting. The purpose of science education is not only to improve metacognition, but also to make student acquire scientific knowledge. So, this study present the question of whether EBS education broadcasting could raise students' metacognition or not. At ㅂ highschool, the VOD texts provided by EBS education broadcasting was used for all curriculums including science in 2002 and 2003. It was accepted that the model wpuld be using considered VOD texts as materials and focusing on students' voluntary acting. But the students couldn't be given a stimulus raising metacognition by these models. The metacognition such as metaknowledge, metaexperience, and monitoring must be mediated during school hours for valuable science lessons. First, the manipulation such as teacher's pertinent question or comment reminding students about the materials was connected with teaming subject. Second, it is important for students to do an analogical experiment in odor to experience the reality. Third, feedback and the scripts of students' conversation must be given to students to monitor their own learning process.

Analysis of a Principal's Cognition on his Job Performance in Meister High Schools (마이스터고등학교 교장의 직무수행에 대한 교장의 인식분석)

  • This study aims to suggest a way to improve the professional abilities of the principals of meister high schools by analysing their perception of the standards of performance of their duties. To carry out this study, we have developed the standards of performance of the duties of the principals of meister high schools through the systematic research on the realm of the duties of the principals of meister high schools, and analysed the principals' perception of their duties using the developed standards of performance of their duties. The results of this study are as followed. First, In the stage of planning the school management, the school management plan, the ways to get budget, the plan for evaluation and feedback of the accomplishment of the performance of school management plan should be included. Second, The area of the school management is subdivided into securing school budget, reviewing and arranging the budgets demanded by teachers, executing school budgets, obtaining school equipments and facilities, maintaining school equipments and facilities, managing school feeding, organizing and operating school steering committee, reflecting the opinions of school steering committee. Third, The school curriculum should be developed by a job analysis and the teaching should reflect the analysis. Fourth, The area of the career path and the management of the career for young meisters includes the analysis of the demand of students, parents, and companies, the development of meister growth route and program for managing their career, and the analysis of meister growth route and reflection of the results of the analysis. Fifth, The field of guiding students includes supporting the students counseling service, and managing a variety of school events. 6th, In the realm of cooperation with communities are included designing programs for collaborating and training students with companies, building cooperation with companies, and obtaining supports from communities and related organizations. 7th, In the area of supporting teachers to improve their professional competence, it figured out that supporting teachers' voluntary learning and studying should take a top priority. In conclusion, it is necessary for meister high school principals to have capability to deal with meister growth route and career management, supporting collaboration with other organizations, building and managing laboratories, encouraging teachers' professional improvement, and operating school curriculum and teaching activities.
