Existing researches on movie genre have been focusing on the relationship between a specific genre and performance of a movie. However, most of films cross into multiple genres and new approach is needed for analyzing a genre network. In this study social network analysis was used to analyze the genre centrality and its relationship with movie performance by developing a genre network, i.e. network among multiple genres constructed via genre co-occurrence pattern in a specific movie. Three index of genre centrality, eigenvector centrality, degree centrality, and bonacich power centrality, were tested for the valued genre network. Results showed that the relationship between genre centrality and movie performance appeared to be inverted U-shaped. This empirical finding is in line with the theory of ambidexterity which emphasizes the balance of exploration and exploitation. In addition, this study can provide practical implications for movie producers, distributors, and theaters that need to develop genre strategies.

In primary and secondary schools, various information, such as grade results, observation and counseling materials, and psychological examination results which are generated in the course of educational activities, are accumulated and managed in various forms. Nevertheless, there is no educational information system that provides the analytical information for diagnosing and grasping students in a multidimensional manner. This is reminiscent of situations in which doctors rely solely on clinical experience to treat patients without using the results of various tests on patients. As pointed out by the Ministry of Education in 'Educational Big Data Utilization Measures' of the 5th Basic Plan of Educational Informatization(2014 ~ 2018), the reason why educational information systems do not exist is because there are no basic research as well as comprehensive and systemic research on this field. Therefore, this study aims to design and implement a prototype for educational information system that enables customized student guidance by introducing the concept of analytical information systems that are used in various fields. We defined the core functions and contents of educational information system through job analysis and focus group interview, and implemented the prototype using Naver ProtoNow.

This study aims to analyze the government accounting system of South Korea on the institutional complex and institutional congruence of new institutional theory and suggests policy reform for the system. I researched the literatures on the national and local accounting system and compiled research materials from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Ministry of Interior and Safety, the Board of Audit and Inspection, and Government Accounting and Finance Statistics Center websites. Analysis showed that the government accounting system consists of various elements in institutional complex and the congruence level of national and local accounting system of South Korea is low in production, disclosure, and application of information. The suggestions of this study include: introducing accounting position recruitment, adopting government audit system, and improving cooperation between national accounting organizations and local accounting organizations for reliable information production; disclosing real time information and revealing information linking national and local accounting for transparent information disclosure; educating information user, providing accurate cost and available financial analysis indicators, introducing chief financial officer, and expanding range of consolidated national financial statements for information application.

This study aims to analyze and compare the difference of preference to realistic and fantastic expressions presented in the illustrations of children's picture books. The subject of this study is set for 52 seven-year-old kindergarten students, including 26 boys and 26 girls, in Cheonan. Two times of researches on their preferences were made on the basis of data collection through individual interviews and self-regulatory questionnaires. A children's picture book, which best demonstrates both realistic and fantastic expressions, was selected as a research tool for such questionnaire from the ones produced and printed within Korea, which either are listed in the Recommended Book List of Children's Book Research Association or received any international award. The result shows that both boys and girls prefer fantastic expressions to realistic ones. It was also found that girls tend to prefer realistic expressions that the boys do. Nevertheless, there definitely was a limitation in thorough analysis by region or age, as they tended to show different responses when they were provided with a picture book with similar theme and story, but different form of expression.

In this paper, the method of RFID-Reader location selection, which is a core technique to analyze traffic amount and traffic context is proposal. In order to systematically utilize traffic related road information, GIS is used for the proposal method. In addition, a rule-based model using O/D data that is the important information for selection the location of traffic observation.

The purpose of this study was to analyze trends of domestic research on MOOCs(Massive Open Online Courses) for the last 10 years and provides implications for research on education and learning using MOOC. A total of 70 research papers were selected for the analysis. As a result, the research papers on MOOC in Korea have been increasing from 2012 to 2018. Of the 70 research papers, 31 were clearly indicated research subjects, and most of the research was conducted for university students. Regarding the research type, survey research(27.1%) were the most common. The predictors used in the study of MOOCs are demographic characteristics and perceived usefulness and ease of use for independent variables, satisfaction, perceived usefulness and ease of use for the mediators, usage intention and persistence for dependent variables were frequently used. Further implications were discussed for the study.

The purpose of this paper is to find out the way of utilizing phrases of Chinese poetry in Manjeongje and its musical characteristics. To this end, the roles of phrases contained in the Pansori words were classified into five patterns: landscape description, strengthening of pleasant emotions, strengthening of sad emotions, wordplay, and combination of various poems. As a result of analysis, phrases quoted in sad mood part consist of slow rhythm of Jinyangjo and Jungmori, and sad melody of Gyemyun-gil and Jingyemyun tone; thus, both the rhythm and melody are expressed in accordance with the mood of poems. On the other hand, the melody in the landscape description parts, and the rhythm in the joyful feeling and wordplay parts showed the characteristics of determining the mood. In addition, when applying the analysis results to the perspective of Pansori composition, it is necessary to discover novel texts, apply to editorials, and study musical implementation suitable for the original mood in order to create more artistic Pansori.

This study analyzes how Princess Deokhye's photos before entering elementary school were exploited in newspapers during the Japanese colonial period by introducing Roland Barthes' semiological methodology for analysis of photography. In the early 1920s, the Japanese imperialists actively exploited Princess Deokhye, who was about to enter elementary school, to propagate their education policy. The Maeil Shinbo cooperated with their policies by publishing photos and articles of Princess Deokhye. In this paper, 2 photos and articles published in Maeilshinbo were analyzed. As a result, it was found that messages were produced that justified Japanese education policy by using various rhetorical techniques of photography and texts complementary to each other, and that the readers were induced to accept them naturally. In conclusion, it was possible to reveal the seriousness of the problem in that these articles were not merely for propaganda of policy, but were to encourage the disappearance of the traditional values of Joseon.

This study aims to analyze how the public perceive the climate change in South Korea. The climate change has been highlighted due to its social and environmental impact on future society during decades. In recent, the outbreak of COVID-19 alerted the causal relationship between diseases and the climate change and forced decision-makers to cope with possible future epidemics. Along with the social and political importance of the climate change, the perception and actions of the public also become significant. Thus, this study analyzes the trends in the public perception of climate change before and after the COVID-19, using social media big data from March 1, 2019 through February 28, 2022. The results show that the negative perception dominated the public's perception, but a little positive perception implies that numerous policies on the climate change may help the public convert their negative perception to the positive. This study may help the decision-makers develop future policies and strategies on the climate change and carbon neutrality by considering the demand-side perception, such as South Korean perception.

Recently, many public institutions have been conducting promotional activities using digital platforms. Communication methods using digital platforms have a very important meaning in that they can create new values that did not exist before by connecting and sharing information with various users. To this end, we tried to analyze YouTube videos of five government ministries and examine them. As a result of YouTube analysis by government ministries, most of them were mainly used as channels for policy promotion, and many were used as channels for new information. Although the message is delivered through the production of various contents, it was possible to look at cases where the target as a channel for communication was not clear and the purpose was unclear. In order to communicate with the people, it should be used as a channel for communication through content suitable for clear target setting and purpose.
