This paper aims at examining the role of university, industry and government, which constitute the triple-helix innovation system in hi-tech cluster, based on the case of the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA. Firstly, the state government has played a catalytic role by building the horizontal governance of triple-helix actors. By doing so, the state government has made it possible for not only growing but also transforming the RTP as an high-tech cluster. Secondly, universities in the triangle area have played to some extent a limited role in sustaining the evolution of cluster. Thirdly, the RTP has long been dominated by a small group of large firms. However, the situation has been changed since 1990s, because new start-ups from universities and local large firms and the technology transfer activities between universities and firms have been increased in the RTP and its surrounding area. Finally, it argues that the continuous evolution of the RTP has been to some or large extent influenced by the transition from the exogenous development model to the endogenous development model.

This paper presents a preliminary study of roller types for chip seals based on aggregate retention performance. Chip seal test sections composed of single seals of granite 78M aggregate and CRS-2 emulsion were constructed using three different roller types: the pneumatic tire roller, steel wheel roller, and combination roller. In order to investigate the performance of these rollers effectively, it is critical to test chip seal samples obtained directly from field construction. Therefore, test sections were constructed on New Sandy Hill Church Road near Bailey, North Carolina. Chip seal samples obtained from these sections were used for laboratory testing. The aggregate retention performance was evaluated using the flip-over test (FOT), Vialit test, and the third-scale Model Mobile Loading Simulator (MMLS3). Based on the test results and visual observation, both the pneumatic roller and the combination roller used together are recommended to improve chip seal performance with the sequence of the pneumatic roller rolling first followed by the combination roller.

The purpose of this study is to examine the narrative correlation of nonverbal signs found in Charade. Charade, by using nonverbal signs, provides information about the character's psychological change, his or her relationship with others, and the places where they stay. The study of Charade, then, has to be approached considering not only the transmission of messages through nonverbal signs but also its signification. This study has analyzed the narrative and formation process of the subject that triggers the subject's activity by taking narrative semiotics to the film Carol (2015). As the status of women is represented by the mise-en-$sc{\grave{e}}ne$ at this time, this study aims to examine such a fact through Charade, which belongs to the realm of mise-en-$sc{\grave{e}}ne$. In this study, nonverbal signs that are used in Charade are drawn based on the nonverbal communication theory. The result of analyzing the texts showed that the use of interior decoration was outstanding in the process of expressing the status of female subjects. The use of gaze was noticeable in the process of expressing the acquisition of female subjects' power. Besides, it should be noted that the use of nonverbal signs such as accessories, territoriality, or gesture, was worthy of attention. It was confirmed that such nonverbal signs play an important role in the formation of subjects and configuration of narrative transformation.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the Ethical Sensitivity Questionnaire for Nursing Students (KESQ-NS). Methods: The participants were 138 nursing students who have experience in clinical practice. The Korean version of ESQ-NS (KESQ-NS) was examined using content validity, construct validity, criterion-related validity, and testing of internal consistency reliability. Data were collected from November to December of 2019 through an online-survey. Results: The KESQ-NS that was composed of 13 items was divided into three dimensions: Critical understanding of the patient, patient holistic care, patient privacy, and confidentiality. The instrument explained 67.9% of the total variance for ethical sensitivity. Cronbach's α was .88. Conclusion: The KESQ-NS showed good validity and reliability. This instrument can be used to evaluate ethical sensitivity in nursing students in Korea.

In this article, we introduce disabled mathematicians who overcome their disabilities and contributes to the development of mathematics: Nicholas Saunderson, Leonhard Euler, Lewis Carroll, Solomon Lefschetz, Louis Antoine, Gaston Maurice Julia, Lev Semenovich Pontryagin, Abraham Nemeth, John Nash, Bernard Morin, Anatoli G. Vitushkin, Lawrence W. Baggett, Norberto Salinas, Theodore John Kaczynski, Richard E. Borcherds, Dimitri Kanevsky, Hwang Yun-seong, Emmanuel Giroux, Kim In-kang, Zachary J. Battles, and Pratish Datta. As well, we classify mathematics education environments and the role education played in helping these mathematicians overcome their disabilities and other obstacles. Then, we discuss educational environmental changes in the 21st century for special mathematics education.

In this knowledge information society, it cannot be too much to accentuate the necessity and importance of computer education. However, the current computer education in elementary school only focuses on computer application and utilization. It is not satisfactory to the needs of knowledge information society to improve mechanic office operation and/or to provide simple utilization of educational software through learning the application software functions. Therefore, based on creative and logical thought, it is necessary at this era to prepare computer education as the essence of science to create new values and to embody knowledge by understanding social and cultural environment of knowledge information society that is continuously in change and development. Accordingly, this study presents the necessity of change based on problems of computer education, and investigates field teacher's opinion on the direction of change in elementary computer curriculum in this knowledge information society. Also, this study presents a computer education curriculum for elementary school students by focusing on a comparison between our current elementary computer curriculum and that of North Carolina and of California in the United States.

이 연구는 정보와 지식을 효과적으로 시각화하기 위해 만들어진 개념적 맵(Conceptual map)들의 종류와 그 특성과 차이점을 분석하고 활용 방안으로서 디지털 스토리텔링으로의 적용 가능성과 방법에 대한 연구이다. 사회현상에 존재하는 다양한 정보에서 사용자가 원하는 정보를 검색하고 조직하기 위해 다이어그램, 그래프, 맵 등 정보시각화를 통한 여러 방법들이 사용되고 있다. 특히 이 중에서 맵을 이용한 시각화에 주목하는 이유는 수많은 정보와 지식을 기반으로 만들어진 개념적 지도가 정보와 지식을 표현해 줄 뿐만 아니라, 이들 사이의 관계를 조직해주는 데에도 효율적으로 사용되고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 정보시각화는 대량의 정보 속에서 사용자들이 찾고자 하는 정보를 빠르고 용이하게 찾을 수 있도록 도와준다. 또한, 일련의 스토리 라인을 갖고 있는 책의 시각화의 경우 등장인물과 그들 주변에서 일어나는 사건들의 관계를 형상화할 수 있다. 이러한 과정을 통해 만들어진 개념적 맵에서는 개개인이 알고 있는 이야기와 그에 관한 정보를 다른 사람들과 의사소통하며 그 정보와 지식들이 확장될 수도 있어, 이는 지식시각화의 좋은 활용사례가 될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 개념적 맵의 세 가지 종류인 개념맵(Concept map), 지식맵(Knowledge map), 토픽맵(Topic map)의 정의와 특성들을 살펴보고, 각각의 구성요소의 차이점을 비교하여 시각화 방법론을 제안하였다. 또한, 각 맵의 특성과 차이점을 이용해 루이스 캐롤(Lewis Carroll)의 <이상한 나라의 엘리스>의 이야기 요소들을 각각의 개념적 맵들로 구성해봄으로써, 그 효과를 확인해보았다. 스토리텔링을 개념적 맵을 이용하여 표현할 경우, 사용자들은 스토리텔링을 효과적으로 접근할 수 있으며, 이러한 분석은 개념적 맵을 제작할 때 가이드라인으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study researched the costume manufacture process by having the musical 'Christmas Carol' as an example and specifically presented the costume manufacture process of an actually performance work, thus it aimed to be helpful theoretically and realistically, by allowing theatrical costume manufacturers and majors in theatrical costume to be informed of the systematically practical affair process of the theatrical costume manufacture and by exhibiting the research work of costume composition aiming at reproducing a silhouette in the process such as costume composition and sewing, and the effectively manufacturing methods such as the costume composition application and the sewing method development aiming at the activity of performers. In the empirical research, it analyzed the features of characters and arranged the manufacture points while actually manufacturing the performance costume, and clarified the systematically performance costume manufacture process such as a manufacture meeting${\rightarrow}$costume list preparation$\rightarrow$work-instruction sheet preparation$\rightarrow$pattern manufacture$\rightarrow$sewing$\rightarrow$performance and inspection. Through performing the manufacture of the really performance work, it is hoped that this study contributes to the development of performance art circles, by presenting a step and a method of professionally theatrical costume to the performance manufacturers and the theatrical costume manufacturers at present when the theatrical costume is solidifying its position as a professional sphere, in the performance and an, has a meaning as the initially empirical research, which can exhibit as a guide of realistically and empirically educational contents for theatrical costume aiming to bring up professional staff for theatrical costume, and becomes help in the efficiently theatrical costume manufacture realistically.

21C기를 맞이하면서 미국의 보건소가 당면한 과제는 시민들을 상해질병에서 보호하고 예방하는 것이다. 금세기 초 남녀 평균수명은 50세에 불과하였으나 후반에 이르러서는 남자 평균 수명 72세, 여자 79세로 늘어나게 되었는데 이것은 공중보건의 기여라고 볼 수 있다. 지난 10년 동안 미국의 보건의료정책은 격변기를 맞았으며 지역사회 병원들은 점차 보건소 활동분야인 예방사업에도 침투하고 있어서 지방보건소 활동과 경쟁하게 되었다. 이로 인하여 지방보건소는 지역사회에서 보다 광범위한 보건증진계획을 세워야 했고 동반자의 참여를 절실해하고 있다. 미국 의학연구소는 "공중보건의 장래" 라는 지침서를 발간하였고 10대 필수보건수칙이 지방보건소를 위하여 정해졌다. 이를 수행하기 위해선 지방보건소가 갖추어야 할 사항은 1) 건강 평가 2) 정책수립 3) 행정력 4) 건강증진 계획 5) 시민건강 보호대책 6) 질적 확인 체재수립 7) 직원교육 훈련 8) 지역사회 자발력 및 참여 고취 등이 있다. 보건교육 사업이란 그 과제와 재능과 개념 등이 다양해 이의 포괄적인 수용이 모색되어야하며, 그래서 이 논문은 건강증진 사업에 대한 "새 눈의 시야"와 같다고 볼 수 있다. "보건교육/보건증진" 이란 공중보건의 이론과 실제를 일체화하는데 있다고 볼 수 있다. 미국은 2010년 보건의료 정책수립에 "건강증진/ 보건교육" 역할을 문서화하였고, "보건교육/ 건강증진" 사업은 지역사회 안에서 체계화하여 "건강한 사회에 건강한 시민" 이라는 사회운동의 청사진으로 이어지고 있다. 이 논문은 콜로라도의 "건강한 사회에 건강한시민" 운동을 한 예로 들고 있으며 "보건교육/건강증진" 사업에 대한 표준 설정을 위하여 노스캐롤라이나주 지방보건소의 "보건교육/건강증진" 표준체제를 예로 들었다. 다음으로, 경제적인 효율면에서 볼 때 "보건교육/건강증진" 사업에는 단기 혹은 장기 투자가치가 있는가 하는 것이다. 새로 태어나는 미국 지방 보건소의 "보건교육/건강증진" 활동은 지역 시민 및 그 단체가 광범위하고도 자연 다발적으로 참여할 때만 성공할 수 있다고 결론 지울 수 있다.
