The effects of personal, social factors, and school career experience on high school students' self-efficacy and career maturity (고등학생의 개인적·사회적요인, 학교진로교육 경험과 자기효능감이 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향)

  • The study was aimed to identify the factors on career maturity in high school students. From May 2, 2017 to December 2, 2017, a total of 143 high school students from eight different high schools in two city participated the study. Pearson's correlation coefficients and regression analysis, using SPSS 24.0 version program. Ther were statistically significant positive correlations among experience in career counselling with family, relationship with parents, self-efficacy and career maturity. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the experience in career counselling with family, relationship with parents and self-efficacy explained an 76.8% of career maturity. We should include parents in their education so that parents can provide counseling and support in their children's career exploration and decisions so that they can enhance their own self-efficiency. It is necessary to develop a program that will directly improve students' self-efficiency in the career path, considering that it can improve their confidence and ultimately affect their career maturity.

Relationship among Emotional Intelligence, Academic Self-efficacy and Career Decision Level in High School Girls (여고생의 감성지능, 학업적 자기효능감, 진로결정 수준)

  • This descriptive correlational study was to intended to analyze the relationship among emotional intelligence, academic self-efficacy and career decision level in high school girls. Data were collected from 241 high school girls in B and C city and analyzed using SPSS 20.0. The results are as follows: First, the mean score of emotional intelligence, academic self-efficacy and career decision level were above moderate. The levels of score were significant differences according to grade, school record, economic status, hoping career, and peer relationship. There were positive correlations among emotional intelligence, academic self-efficacy and career decision level. Therefore, it is necessary to consider emotional intelligence and academic self-efficacy for improving career decision level of high school girls.

The Study about the Effect on Self-effectiveness of a Course Decision of Duty Stress in the College Students Related to Guard Major Study - Centering Around Gwang-ju and Jeonnam Region - (경호관련 전공 대학생들의 취업스트레스와 진로결정 자기 효능감에 관한 연구)

  • This study is to analyse the effect on self-effectiveness of a course decision of duty stress in the college students related to guard major study. For this, the college students related to guard major study in Gwang-ju and Jeonnam region were selected as a universe at April 2011. And a sampling was practiced as a random sample. A question investigation was used in a entry method of self-estimation. Furthermore a total of 171 person(85.5%) was used as final analysis data. The collected data were employed in a statistics program of SPSS for win version 17.0. And used in a way of Pearson's interrelation analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis. The conclusion was as follows. Firstly, family surroundings stress and studies stress of duty stress affected beneficially statistically a goal selection of self-effectiveness of course decision. Family surroundings influenced upon it positively. And studies effected on it negatively. Secondly, all factors of duty stress didn't affect beneficially statistically the work information of self-effectiveness of course decision. Thirdly, school surroundings stress of duty stress influenced upon positively statistically the problem solution of self-effectiveness of course decision. Fourthly, personality stress and duty anxiety stress affected beneficially statistically the future plan of self-effectiveness of course decision. Personality influenced upon it negatively and duty anxiety affected it positively.

Relationship of career-related stress, commitment to a career choice and career decision self-efficacy of college students (대학생의 진로스트레스, 진로선택몰입 및 진로결정 자기효능감과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of career-related stress, commitment to a career choice and career decision self-efficacy of college students. The participants were 293 college students in P city. Data were collected by using self-report questionnaires from May 6 to 29, 2015. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson,s correlation coefficient and Hierarchical regression analysis by SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. The career-related stress was negatively correlated with commitment to a career choice (r=-.731, p<.001) and career decision self-efficacy(r=-.449, p<.001). The influencing factors of career-related stress were grade(${\beta}$=.99, p<.017) and commitment to a career choice(${\beta}$=-.707, p<.001). This study concludes that it is necessary to develop education program to improve commitment to a career choice and career decision self-efficacy.

A Field Experiments Study for Coaching Effects Verification: Relation between Coaching and Self-esteem, Career Decision Making Self-efficacy, and Career Preparation Behavior (코칭 효과 검증을 위한 현장실험연구: 코칭과 자아존중감, 진로결정자기효능감 및 진로준비행동 간의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between coaching and self-esteem, career decision-making self-efficacy, and career preparation behavior through field experiments. To accomplish the purpose of the study, as the purposeful sampling was selected 50 male university students in Chungnam, South Korea. This experimental design, 25 university students were assigned to an experimental group, and another 25 university students were assigned to a control group. The experimental group had four sessions of coaching program. The control group did not have any coaching sessions. After four coaching sessions, questionnaires were administrated again. To conduct ANCOVA, pre-measurement scores for each dependent variable were included as covariates and post-measurement scores were included as dependent variables. The result proved the effect of coaching on self-esteem, career decision-making self-efficacy, and career preparation behavior. As the results of analysis, for control group, there was no difference between before and after measurement for each dependent variable. However, there was statistically significant difference between before and after measurement for each dependent variable in experimental group. This result confirmed that coaching caused increase in the level of self-esteem, career decision-making self-efficacy, and career preparation behavior. The result like this has a significance to be able to be used as a basic data that used efficiently in the field of career guidance and HRD for university student.

  • As a result of the study, it was found that social support affects career maturity. It was confirmed that in order to increase the career maturity of junior college students, it is necessary to understand the interpersonal relationship including information and evaluation of the student environment, effective support, and emotional interest, and it is necessary to find a way to perceive high social support. In the effect of social support on career maturity, career decision self-efficacy was found to have a partial mediating effect. Instructors should support students who have anxiety about their uncertain future so that they can increase their self-esteem and self-efficacy so that they can enhance their career maturity.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the effects of adolescent wellbeing of school maladjusted teens on the career decision self-efficacy and the mediating effect of community capital. The subjects were 116 school maladjusted teens in Ulsan metropolitan area. As analysis methods, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, three-step mediation effect analysis, and a Sobel test were performed based on factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis, using the R program. As a result, adolescent wellbeing was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on career decision self-efficacy. The effect of adolescent's wellbeing on career decision self-efficacy was confirmed. This means that the self-efficacy of career decisions will improve as the adolescent's wellbeing of school maladjusted teens increases and there is more positive community capital. Overall, it will be necessary to develop and utilize educational programs that can improve the sense of youth wellbeing and implement systematic intervention of specialized counseling services helpful in career search and decision-making in light of the psychological characteristics of youth. Therefore, to improve the career decision self-efficacy of school-maladjusted teens, reinforcement of teenage wellbeing and various strategies utilizing community capital will be necessary.

  • In this study, we examined whether cultural stress, self-efficacy, and career-preparation behavior differed depending on the general characteristics of foreign students, and whether cultural adaptation stress and self-efficacy affect career-preparation behavior. To this end, a survey of 231 foreign students was conducted and data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS v23 statistics program. According to the study, cultural adaptation stress and self-efficacy differed depending on the general characteristics of foreign students. And cultural adaptation stress and self-efficacy have been shown to affect career-preparation behavior. Therefore, it was suggested that the government needs to develop curriculums, comparisons and programs for foreign students to help them exchange culture and adapt their studies, and that it is necessary to have professional counseling staff residing in universities to conduct career and academic counseling.

  • This study was conducted to compare the self-leadership strategies and self-efficacy among the four types of career development in the Korean engineering college students. When the two variables including career decision level and career preparation behavior were considered, four different types of career development were obtained: immature, behavioral, pseudo, and ideal type. The results showed that the ideal type obtained the significantly higher scores on the self-leadership and self-efficacy scales than the other three types. The results of stepwise analysis suggested that each subtype had unique characteristics in relation to self-leadership strategies. Therefore, it would be useful to provide the engineering students with the specialized self-leadership training program based on the types of career development.

  • This study is hair salon satisfaction and self-efficacy in major college students preparing course is to identify the factors that affect the action. The subjects of the study were 173 male and female college students attending the College of Hair and Beauty in G region from March 10 to 25, 2021, and 150 of them were finally SPSS.It used the WIN 22.0 program. First, it has been verified that the satisfaction of hair and beauty college students' majors directly affects career preparation behavior. Second, the hair salon for preparatory actions in the course of major college student satisfaction and self-efficacy turned out to be a very important influence. Third, action represents a direct impact on career preparation is college student's hair salon self-efficacy and research to do significant impact. Based on the results of this study, students with high satisfaction with their majors suggest that they are preparing for a systematic professional life for career preparation when they are self-efficacy in college.
