The study was designed using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design, and data were collected from June 1 to August 31, 2017. The participants consisted of 52 nursing students in D College of D City who were assigned to an experimental group (n=27) or control group (n=25). The pretest poll was performed on June 1, 2017 and posttest poll was performed 2 weeks later without any treatment in the control group. In the experimental group, the pretest poll was performed on July 25 before the emergency treatment education program and the posttest poll was performed on August 31 after the education program. The emergency treatment education program for the experimental group consisted of 2 hours of emergency treatment instruction, autonomously watching videos, and 4 hours of teaching elementary students about CPR for adults and first aid for airway obstruction, burns, bleeding, and fractures as a lecturer. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, independent t-test, $x^2$ test, and paired t-test with SPSS/WIN 20.0. After receiving the emergency treatment education program, a difference was observed in self-leadership (t=2.08, p<.05), career decision-making self-efficacy (t=4.22, p<.05) and nursing performance ability (t=5.02, p<.05) in the experimental group. The results of this study indicate that the emergency treatment education program was effective at increasing self-leadership, career decision-making self-efficacy, and nursing performance ability in nursing students.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a learning motivation program and to test its effect to provide basic data to be used for freshmen who are going to enter nursing college and various educational strategies and policies for successful university life. In order to develop the program, the contents of the program were structured so as to improve the learning ability, self-directed ability, and social competence through the current research and literature review. As a result, motivation (F=3.45 p=.033), core competence (F=7.35 p=.001), time management (F=9.80 p<.001) and career attitude maturity (F=19.83 p<.001) were significantly increased before the program. This suggests that the composition of the learning motivation program includes various learning strategies unlike nursing and majors.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze student and university features affecting outcome in labor market after university graduates. For accomplish this, multi-level analysis modeling with HLM(Hierarchical Linear Modeling) was adopted. GOMS(Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey) 2013 data were used for this study, and we added the Information Service of Education data for university information. The result of analysis were as follows. (a) Factors affecting outcome in labor market after university graduate were both student and university features. Significant features were house income, gender, academic major, GPA, and satisfaction in view point of student level. In university level, there were significant variables likes foundation, location, education costs, school type, and satisfaction. (b) We found the different significant variables between student and school level in the participations on the university career program. Significant features were job-experience and job-exhibition in student level, but there were no significant after adding variable in school level. In the school level, there were significant in subjects related career and job, job-exhibition, and consulting.

Data collection was conducted from December 5, 2023, to January 3, 2024, targeting 197 nursing college students (2nd to 4th year) from universities located in S City, C Province, and K Province. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0 software, employing descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA (post hoc analysis using Scheffe), Pearson's correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression. The results indicated statistically significant positive correlations among nursing students' social-emotional competence, major satisfaction, and career preparation behaviors. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis revealed that factors influencing career preparation behaviors included year of study, participation in career-related programs, social-emotional competence, and major satisfaction, with these variables explaining 40.3% of the variance in career preparation behaviors. Based on the results, it is necessary to develop and apply programs to strengthen social-emotional competencies considering the academic year of nursing student. And customized career programs should be established to increase major satisfaction.

  • This study is to analyze employment stress and career decision efficacy of undergraduates from engineering and social science department. Research object is 310 undergraduates(engineering department: 164 and social science department: 146) from three colleges in Seoul and Cheju. As a result of testing employment stress and career decision efficacy undergraduates had significant difference according to major and grade. Employment stress of undergraduates from engineering department was more serious than undergraduates from social science department. As a result of analyzing on the basis of grade employment stress of sophomores was more serious than freshmen. Career decision efficacy of undergraduates from social science department was higher than other group. Career decision efficacy of freshmen was higher than sophomore. Employment stress and career decision efficacy showed negative corelation in corelation analysis. This study implies that course educating program should be specialized according to major and grade. This study suggests that we should develop course educating curriculum connecting with major education.
