  • With the recent development of communication equipment, the demand for communication equipment is gradually increasing. Accordingly, various signal processing has been studied. In the case of an image, noise removal is an indispensable step because noise propagation problems may occur if noise is not removed in the pre-processing process. Salt and Pepper noise is a typical impulse noise with two extremes. Various studies have been conducted to remove such noise, and there are CWMF, MF and MMF. However, the existing methods are somewhat insufficient in the high-density noise region. Therefore, in this study, we have proposed an algorithm that filters the size of the mask according to the number of noises inside the 7×7 mask and filters it with a modified switching filter using the histogram distribution of the image. In the case of the proposed algorithm, noise can be effectively removed in a high-density noise region. For objective judgment, PSNR was used to compare and analyze with existing algorithms.

  • This paper deals with the construction of a combustion test facility and preliminary tests for hot-firing tests of a methane engine. First, the combustion test facility for a 1 kN-class thrust chamber using liquid oxygen/gas methane as propellants was designed and built. Before hot-firing tests, the cold-flow tests of each propellant line and the ignition tests of torch igniter/afterburner were performed to verify propellant supply stability of the combustion test facility, operation of the control and measurement system, and successful ignition. Finally, a preliminary hot-firing test was conducted to measure the combustion efficiency, heat flux, and combustion stability of a thrust chamber prototype. The constructed combustion test facility will be helpfully used for basic research and development of methane engine thrust chambers.

  • Melting and icing process of the PCMTCU(Phase Change Material Thermal Control Unit) installed on the NEXTSat-2, which is scheduled to be launched in the second half, was investigated through the results of satellite-level TVT(Thermal Vacuum Test). As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the latent heat of PCM contributes to the temperature stabilization of the heating components. The thermal model for numerical analysis of the PCMTCU was correlated to acquire a reasonable degree of accuracy using the collected temperature measurements during TVT. The periodic temperature variation of the PCMTCU in normal on-orbit operation was predicted with the correlated thermal model, and the quantitative contribution of the PCM on the thermal energy management was evaluated with the liquid fraction. It will receive flight telemetry from the NEXTSat-2 after the launch, and complete the space verification of the PCMTCU.

  • Cloud services, which started in the early 2000s as a method of using idle servers, are more active with the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, and are being used in many fields as an optimal platform that can be used for business by collecting and analyzing data. On the other hand, the Internet of Things is an environment in which all surrounding objects can freely connect to the Internet network anytime and anywhere to transmit sensed data. In the Internet of Things, data is transmitted in real time, so BaaS, that is, a cloud service for data only has been added. In this paper, among BaaS services for the Internet of Things, a back-end service method that manages data based on Parse Server is explained, and a service that helps patients in rehabilitation is presented using this. For this, a Raspberry Pi is used as a hardware environment, and it is connected to the Internet, collects patient movement information in real time, and manages it through the Parse Server.

  • Triple modular redundancy (TMR) systems can continue their mission by virtue of their structural redundancy even if one processor is attacked by faults. In this paper, we propose a new fault tolerance strategy by introducing checkpoints into the TMR system in which data saving and fault detection processes are separated while they corporate together in the conventional checkpoints. Faults in one processor are tolerated by synchronizing the state of three processors upon detecting faults. Simultaneous faults occurring to more than one processor are tolerated by re-executing the task from the latest checkpoint. We propose the checkpoint placement and fault detection strategy to maximize the probability of successful execution of a task within the given deadline. We develop the Markov chain model for the TMR system having the proposed checkpoint strategy, and derive the optimal fault detection and checkpoint interval.

  • In this paper, accidents in high-voltage overhead distribution lines, which provide stable power supply in the power system, cause inconvenience in life and disruption of production of companies. 22.9 [kV] high-voltage overhead power distribution lines aim to improve reliability and stability, such as damage caused by rain, snow, wind, etc., or electric shock prevention. Therefore, in order to prevent wire disconnection accidents due to deterioration of electrical conductivity or tensile strength due to corrosion of overhead distribution lines, it is necessary to prevent unexpected accidents in the future through regular inspection and repair. In order to diagnose deterioration due to corrosion of distribution lines, a diagnostic system (measuring instrument) is installed on the wires to monitor the condition of the wires. The manager on the ground receives the measured data through ZigBee wireless communication, controls the diagnosis system through the diagnosis system program, and grasps the condition of the overhead distribution line through the measured data and photographed photos, and predicts the life of the wire along with the visual inspection method. developed a program.

  • Due to the high inflation rate of dining out, along with changes in group meals or cafeteria services, office workers are increasingly using workplace cafeterias to reduce their meal expenses even slightly. With the recent development of ICT technology, various fields are realizing that not only are smartphones becoming more popular, but they are also becoming an integration of the latest technologies. In this paper, we analyze the current status of cafeterias with a large number of customers and propose ways to improve problems or difficulties. Since most people always carry their smartphones for urgent communication or work tasks, we aim to develop a cafeteria management system that utilizes the NFC function of smartphones. By presenting the process from customer entry to menu selection, it will enable more efficient use of the cafeteria.

  • History, which began with the emergence of mankind, has a means of recording. Today, we can check the past through data. Generated data may only be generated and stored at a certain moment, but it is not only continuously generated over a certain time interval from the past to the present, but also occurs in the future, so making predictions using it is an important task. In order to find out trends in the use of time series data among numerous data, this paper analyzes the concept of time series data, analyzes Recurrent Neural Network and Long-Short Term Memory, which are mainly used for time series data analysis in the machine learning field, and analyzes the use of these models. Through case studies, it was confirmed that it is being used in various fields such as medical diagnosis, stock price analysis, and climate prediction, and is showing high predictive results. Based on this, we will explore ways to utilize it in the future.

  • With the development of fast construction mode in shipbuilding market, the demand on accuracy management of hull is becoming higher and higher in shipbuilding industry. In order to enhance production efficiency and reduce manufacturing cycle time in shipbuilding industry, it is important for shipyards to have the accuracy of ship components evaluated efficiently during the whole manufacturing cycle time. In accurate shipbuilding process, block accuracy is the key part, which has significant meaning in shortening the period of shipbuilding process, decreasing cost and improving the quality of ship. The key of block accuracy control is to create a integrate block accuracy controlling system, which makes great sense in implementing comprehensive accuracy controlling, increasing block accuracy, standardization of proceeding of accuracy controlling, realizing "zero-defect transferring" and advancing non-allowance shipbuilding. Generally, managers of accuracy control measure the vital points at section surface of block by using the heavy total station, which is inconvenient and time-consuming for measurement of vital points. In this paper, a new measurement method based on point clouds technique has been proposed. This method is to measure the 3D coordinates values of vital points at section surface of block by using 3D scanner, and then compare the measured point with design point based on ICP algorithm which has an allowable error check process that makes sure that whether or not the error between design point and measured point is within the margin of error.
