  • In the elementary school period, since the developmental stage in the area of emotional regulation is immature, it is necessary to develop emotional regulation ability. In order to promote emotional regulation, this study provides an emotional regulation art class that utilizes the right brain function. Results were derived by analyzing through pre- and post-questions and post-interviews. As a result of the pre-post analysis, among the sub-elements of emotional regulation after class, 'Self-Emotion Recognition and Expression', 'Emotional Recognition and Consideration of Others', and 'Interpersonal Relationships' were statistically high. As a result of interview analysis, it was found that all students had a positive effect in the emotional regulation sub-item. As a result, they recognized and understood their emotions after class rather than before class, and had the effect of expressing emotions by purifying negative emotions into positive emotions. It is suggested that it is necessary to develop a program that applies various teaching and learning methods for emotional regulation art class in the future.

  • The affective primacy hypothesis of Murphy와 Zajonc(1983) was replicated in this study. The results of experiment 1 and 2 expanded the affective priming effect by facial valence as well as affective events on object rating. Experiment 3 explored the affective priming effect of schizophrenics at the supraliminal level and their results compared with those of normal subjects. For normal subjects the effect of affective priming was found only at the subliminal level but schizophrenics showed the assimilation effects by affective priming even at the supraliminal level. Finally. principles of affective processing were discussed.

This study is an empirical research based on data analysis obtained by surveying 655 adult men and women. The notable findings are as follow: First, while the openness and emotional isolation does not have direct effect on the tolerance of spouse's extramarital relationship, the direct effect of that on the acceptance of my extramarital relationship is significant. Second, the more acceptance of my extramarital relationship, the less tolerance of spouse's extramarital relationship strongly. Thirdly, the full mediation effect of the acceptance of my extramarital relationship between the individual openness and the tolerance of spouse's extramarital relationship is proved. Moreover, the full mediation effect of the acceptance of mine between the emotional isolation and the tolerance of spouse's is also significant. That is, the effect of individual openness and emotional isolation on the tolerance of spouse's extramarital relationship is influenced by the acceptance of my extramarital relationship.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and empirically evaluate a theoretical model that delineated the processes whereby parents' socioeconomic status affected students'academic achievement via parental support and students' ego-resilience. The proposed model was tested with the first and second wave of a cohort sample of the first grade middle school students from the Korean Children Youth Panel survey by using linear structural relations techniques. The results of analysis showed firstly that parents' socioeconomic status, parental support and students' ego-resilience directly affected the level of students'academic achievement with statistical significance. Secondly, parental support, the proxy of social capital of the family, was contingent upon the parents'socioeconomic status. Thirdly, in addition to its direct effect, parents'socioeconomic status gave indirect effect on students' academic performance through parental support and ego-resilience. Based upon these results implications for social work intervention were provided.
