This research, targeting the college students majoring in health administration science in Kwangju & Chonnam, is aimed at understanding their satisfaction with majors according to general, relationship, consciousness, and subject satisfaction, and looking into the correlation between the satisfaction and further career choices. This research set the 270 prospective graduates its study subjects based on convenience sampling. It was found that the number of students who want to choose their further major-related careers as medical records technician was greatest among the research subjects, of whom 62.4% were satisfied with their major subject while there existed a little difference in major satisfaction by further career. In addition, the students who want to choose the career of medical records filer showed higher satisfaction with their major subject than those who want to choose other-major-related careers. In general characteristics among the influential factors of major satisfaction in major-related career choices of a students of health administration science department, the 2nd year classes' major satisfaction was found to be 4.13 times as high as the 3rd year classes while the major satisfaction of the group choosing their major subject spontaneously was found to be 8.04 times as significantly high as the group choosing their major subject involuntarily. As a result of the analysis of the influence on major satisfaction among the sub-province of major satisfaction, it was found that the group having high consciousness satisfaction was 3.93 times as significantly high as the group having low consciousness satisfaction. A logistic analysis of the influence of major satisfaction on further career choices, the major satisfaction of those wishing to choose their major-related career as a medical records technician was 2.06 times as significantly high as those who didn't choose a medical records filer as their career choice while the major satisfaction of the group spontaneously choosing the career of a medical records technician was 4.51 times as significantly high as that of the group involuntarily choosing the career of a medical records technician. There should be a plan for enhancing major satisfaction by each major-related career in consideration of the characteristics of health administration science department having diverse career choices.

This study was conducted to explore differences of major selection regret and reasons by major selection motivation, and differences of college life, employment goal, first job satisfaction among groups by major selection motivation and regret of college graduates. For this study, '2013 Year Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey' of KEIS was examined by cross-tabulation analysis and one-way analysis of variance. The results were as follows: First, in the case of major selection by intrinsic motivation, less regrets were given than extrinsic motivation. Second, the biggest reason of regret was 'difficulty of unemployment' in case of intrinsic motivation and 'not fit in aptitude' in case of extrinsic motivation. Third, there were differences of college life, employment goal, first job satisfaction among four groups by major selection motivation and regret.

The Korean language major is being activated in line with the increasing number of international students who are studying in South Korea. Therefore, the motivation for selecting a university major varies according to the background, environment, and values of each student. Thus, it is meaningful to examine the motivation of international students to select their major and their satisfaction on the major. In this study, 173 international students living in Seoul were surveyed and the data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 23.0 to demonstrate the structural relationship between their motivation for selecting the major and their satisfaction about the major. From analysis result, their motivation for selecting a Korean language major were classified into internal and external motivations, and their major satisfaction was classified into perception satisfaction, relationship satisfaction, subject satisfaction, and general satisfaction. Regarding the motivations to select a Korean language major, the level of external motivation was very high, and among the major satisfaction, the level of general satisfaction was the highest. Furthermore, the external and internal motives had significant positive effects on all the categories of major satisfaction, including the perception satisfaction, relationship satisfaction, subject satisfaction, and general satisfaction. This study suggests effective methods to improve the satisfaction of international students about the Korean language major such as the provision of information about and opportunities for employment using their major and the provision of a high quality.

This study involves descriptive research designed to understand the level of major satisfaction, the motivation for major selection, and major commitment of undergraduate nursing students, as well as the factors influencing major commitment and the mediating role of major selection motives. Data collection was conducted with 228 people enrolled in nursing colleges located in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, and proceeded from November 7th to November 16th, 2020. The collected data was analyzed with the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. The analysis found that the level of major satisfaction was high and that the motivation for major selection and the major commitment were strong. Major satisfaction and motivation for major selection were predicted as factors influencing major commitment. Major satisfaction and major commitment were partially mediated by the motive for major selection, and specifically, they were partially mediated by personal motives. These results provide basic information to improve the undergraduate nursing students' major commitment, and suggests the importance of the process in which nursing is selected as a major.

This study aimed to clarify the effects of nursing students' major selection motivation on their career decision making self-efficacy and major satisfaction. For the goal, the study made a questionnaire survey of 300 nursing students in their 3rd or 4th year of a college in J City. 285 sheets were finally analyzed using the SPSS 25 Program. The findings of this research are as follows. Concerning general characteristics, there's a significant difference in influence on the abovementioned self-efficacy between personality and school satisfaction. Major satisfaction significantly varied depending on school satisfaction. There were significantly positive correlations existed between major selection motivation, and major satisfaction. Either intrinsic or extrinsic motivation affected the foresaid self-efficacy and major satisfaction in a significant, positive way. Regarding the influence of factors of major satisfaction on those of major selection motivation, curriculum and perception satisfaction had significant effects on intrinsic motivation as well as extrinsic one, while relationship satisfaction had such effect only on intrinsic motivation. These findings suggest that strategies for raising nursing students' major selection motivation should be taken, resultantly improving their career decision making self-efficacy and major satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between major selection motives and employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair and determine if major satisfaction had any mediating effect on the association between major selection motives and employment preparation behavior. For this purpose, research was conducted in 154 college students majoring in hair in B Region. Such instruments as the major selection motive inventory, the major satisfaction inventory, and the employment preparation behavior inventory were used. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, product moment correlation analysis, and regression analysis were performed. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed to determine the mediating effects of major satisfaction on the association between major selection motives and employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair and Sobel test was carried out to determine the significance of the mediating effects. This study obtained the following results: First, among the major selection motives, the personal motives were positively correlated with major satisfaction and employment preparation behavior, and major satisfaction was positively correlated with employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair. Second, the personal motives and major satisfaction affected employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair. Third, major satisfaction exerted partially mediating effects on the association between the personal motives and employment preparation behavior in college students majoring in hair. Major satisfaction partially affected the association between the social motives and employment preparation behavior.

This study was conducted to understand the motivation for major selection and degree of satisfaction with major for university students in the department of Radiology, and to analyze the effect university life adjustment in COVID-19. From Jung 20 to July 20, 2021, 308 students in grades 1~4 were enrolled at universities in Busan and Gyeongnam. Factors influencing university life adjustment were found to have a good adjustment when majoring was selected with personal motive rather than social motive. Among the sub-factors of major satisfaction, general satisfaction and satisfaction with surrounding relationships had a positive effect on university life adjustment. Therefore, in order to adapt to healthy university life, it is necessary to secure closeness between school, professor, and students, and it is desirable to provide students with opportunities to experience various education by recognizing the rapidly changing policy changes in education to increase major satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that the results of this study will be used as basic data for successful university life of students in the department of radiology.

This study is to analyze and evaluate the factors affecting the selection satisfaction of major of radiology students. After conducting a questionnaire survey on radiology students, we conducted t-test and multiple regression analysis. There was a significant difference between the preference and current factor among the selection of department. There were significant differences in clinical practice between practice environment, practice guidance, practice time and evaluation, satisfaction after practice, and employment. There were significant differences in curriculum framing, professor teaching and evaluation, support facilities, education system satisfaction, and curriculum satisfaction. As a result, it is necessary to develop system for increasing satisfaction with student's major selection and to improve the quality of education.

This study was set up hypotheses and conduct surveys target major in security students that the higher satisfaction with the curriculum and major selection will be higher satisfaction for the job selection and employment after graduation. Test results Chronbach's Alpha coefficients 0.833 have been calculated as ensuring internal consistency and simple regression analysis revealed a correlation coefficient of each item is presented to 0.811 showed a very high correlation. Therefore, the higher the satisfaction with the major selection and curriculum were analyzed by the higher satisfaction with the job choices and employment after graduation. The university seems to need effective training courses to give students an increasing satisfaction with the majors. To increase the level of theoretical and practical training is required to the active support and attention of Industrial School Institute. In order to increase the satisfaction of employees and future development security, the need for effective education in universities is raised.

This study was a descriptive research study aimed at identifying the factors influencing career choice commitment in nursing freshmen, focusing on empathy, social support, and major satisfaction. The subjects of the study were 153 nursing freshmen from one university in Chungbuk and one university in Gyeongbuk. The data collection period was from June 3 to June 15, 2024, and the questionnaire took about 30 minutes to complete. The results of the study showed that explained 46.3% of the variance in career choice commitment, and the regression model was statistically significant (F=44.71, p<.001). The influencing factors were, in order, major satisfaction (β=.50, p<.001), empathy (β=.25, p<.001), and university satisfaction dummy 2 (average) (β=-.13, p=.042). Based on these findings, it is recommended to conduct further repeated studies to identify various factors influencing career choice commitment. Additionally, it is suggested to develop customized career exploration and employment programs by grade level to examine the factors affecting career choice commitment in nursing students beyond freshmen.
