Grain cultivation traceability system using ICT for smart agriculture (스마트 농업 구현을 위한 ICT기반 곡물 재배이력관리 시스템)

  • In this paper, a cultivation traceability system to implement smart agriculture developed and implemented, and in particular, devised a system that manages the cultivation traceability of grains that are difficult to grow in smart farms. Mobile and web programs based on smart devices are designed, and the collected information is stored in a DB server and can be used as big data. In addition, real-time location information and agricultural activity information can be matched using an electronic map(Vworld) based on GIS/LBS applying GPS of a mobile device. By designing the cultivation traceability information DB required in the field, the farmhouse, farmers, and cultivation information were developed to make it easy for managers to use, and implemented mobile and web programs in the field. The system is expected to raise the quality and safety management capabilities to the next level in response to variables such as labor saving effect and climate change.

  • Recently, it is expected that the agricultural and stockbreeding industry are damaged by the China-Japan-South Korea FTA and FTA between the United States and South Korea. After free trade, it is increasing to import crops, aquatic products, and livestock which are produced in a foreign land. But it is affected negatively to the trust relationships and markets, because of breaking it out that low grade foreign products are turned into domestic products. For this reason, we need the traceability management system. In this paper, it designs and implements the traceability management system using RFID and USN providing distribution traceability information as well as the traceability information of the growth environment, automatic control according to the facility growing and monitoring of the storehouse. The implemented whole systems consist of the growth environment monitoring and the traceability management. First, the growth environment monitoring shows the environment of plantation and automatic controller of the storehouse and growing facility. This growth environment monitoring information provides the detailed information about growth environment and writing the farming diary automatically by producer. Second, the traceability management provides all of the traceability information such as production, shipment and consumption to consumers. The traceability management system that has been designed and implemented using RFID and USN in this paper, provides the u-IT agriculture to producer and the reliability about agricultural products. In addition, this system provides the foundation data to operate GAP and HACCP, and becomes the advantaged agricultural products of the interior of a country by application of this system.

  • The restaurants have been forced to inform the origin of ingredients to consumers due to the origin obligation policy enacted in 2008 October. However, it is difficult to trust the policy because the origin is represented by a manager's conscience. Therefore, in order to provide consumers with reliable information, we have designed, and embodied the agricultural management system using RFID and USN technology. By installing system on agricultural plantations this system not only manages environmental data such as temperature, illumination and humidity collected in real time but also offers consumers the information of fertilizers or pesticides sprayed on the crops. Before purchasing, consumers will be able to check raw flesh process and the fertilizer and agricultural chemical scattering scene of the crops as an image by using RFID tags with a leader, which more increase the reliability.

  • In this paper, we propose a new traceability system that integrates ubiquitous sensor network for monitoring agricultural environment. The proposed system using EPC network can provide informations of agro-livestock products traceability quickly and efficiently. Moreover, this system with RFID Technology gives intelligence of distribution and record. Because of new agro-livestock products traceability system, farm family's income will increase with customer satisfaction.

  • Diffusion of information technology such as internet has brought a great influence on modern society and industrial development. Currently wide-spread RFID/USN technology has become a central momentum of this rapid changes for the establishment of ubiquitous society in the future. Historically agricultural products has drawn research interest due to its importance of human life. A standard monitoring system throughout of life cycle of the agricultural products should be developed and careful monitoring process should be introduced. In this paper, by way of case study, current lifetime tracing systems are evaluated and critical drawbacks and issues are also developed. In addition, some implications and guidelines to improve the tracing performance of the products are also suggested.

유기 및 관행재배 쌀의 생리활성 성분 분석법 확립 및 함량 비교

  • 관행재배 농산물에 대한 유기재배 농산물의 우수성이 구전되고 있으나 객관적인 과학적 데이터가 부족한 실정이다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 한국인이 주식으로 하고 있는 쌀(동진 1호)을 대상으로 생산이력이 분명한 유기 및 관행재배 시료를 이용하여 독자적으로 확립한 분석법을 이용해 유기 및 관행재배 쌀에 함유된 생리활성성분의 함량 비교를 행하였다. 생리활성성분 분석은 $\gamma$-oryzanol, $\beta$-sitosterol 및 tocopherol류를 대상으로 행하였다. 쌀에 함유된 주요 4종의 $\gamma$-oryzanol류의 동정을 위해 그 4종 화합물들을 ESI-MS 및 NMR 분석을 행한 결과, ODS 컬럼 상에서 cycloartenyl ferulate, 24-methylene cycloartenyl ferulate, campesteryl ferulate 및 $\beta$-sitosteryl ferulate 순으로 용출됨을 확인하였다. 동정된 각 성분들을 HPLC로 분석한 결과, cycloartenyl ferulate와 $\beta$-sitosteryl ferulate의 함량은관행보다 유기재배 쌀에서 유의(p<0.05)하게 높은 값을 보였다. 또한 $\gamma$-oryzanol 중 24-methylene cycloartenyl ferulate와 campesteryl ferulate의 함량은 유의차는 인정되지 않았으나 관행보다 유기재배 쌀에서 더 높은 경향을 보였다. 그리고 $\beta$-sitosterol 함량에 있어서는 유의차가 인정되지 않았으나 관행보다 유기재배 쌀에서 더 높은 경향을 나타냈다. 관행재배와 유기재배 쌀의 tocopherol류의 함량을 분석한 결과, $\alpha$-tocopherol의 함량에 있어서는 관행과 유기재배 쌀 간의 유의차가 관찰되지 않았고, $\beta$- and/or $\gamma$-tocopherols의 함량에 있어서는 유기재배 쌀에서 더 높은 경향이 관찰되었다. 이처럼 쌀에 함유된 생리활성 성분과 그로 인해 발휘되는 기능성 측면에 있어서 유기농산물의 우수성은 유기농산물 재배 농가의 수익 창출에 도움이 되는 홍보자료 제공 및 식품 기능학적 측면에 있어 중요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으리라 기대된다. 그러나 본 결과는 본 실험에서 대상으로 한 시료에 한정될 수 있으며, 유기재배 방법과 재배환경 및 조건에 따라 다양한 결과가 얻어질 수 있음에 주의가 요구된다.

유기 및 관행재배 고추의 생리활성성분 분석 및 기능성 평가

  • 관행재배 농산물에 대한 유기재배 농산물의 생리활성성분 및 기능성 측면에서의 우수성에 대한 관심이 국제적으로 화두가 되고 있으나 일관성 있는 데이터가 제시되지 못해 논란이 이어지고 있다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 한국인이 일상적으로 섭취하고 있는 고추(녹광)를 대상으로 생산이력이 분명한 관행 및 유기 재배 시료를 이용해 주의 깊게 확립된 분석법을 이용해 유기 및 관행재배 고추의 생리활성성분 함량비교 및 기능성 평가를 행하였다. 그 결과 ascorbic acid, capsaicin, dihydrocapsaicin 및 총 페놀성 화합물의 함량은 녹색 및 적색 고추 모두에 있어 관행보다 유기재배 고추가 유의(p<0.05)하게 더 높은 값을 보였다. 그리고 flavonoid류(apigenin, luteolin, quercetin)의 함량은 녹색과 적색고추 모두 유의차는 인정되지 않았으나 관행보다 유기재배 고추에서 더 높은 경향을 나타냈다. 또 2,2'-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid ammonium salt) (ABTS+) radical-scavenging 활성은 녹색고추에 있어서는 유기재배 고추가 관행재배 고추보다 더 높은 경향을 보였으며, 적색고추에 있어서는 유의(p<0.05)하게 높은 활성을 보였다. 고추추출물을 경구투여한 쥐 (Sprague-Dawley, 6주령, men, 180~250 g) 혈장의 동이온 유도산화에 대한 cholesteryl ester hydroperoxide (CE-OOH) 생성 억제능을 평가한 결과, 고추추출물을 경구투여한 쥐가 대조구보다 더 높은 CE-OOH 생성 억제능과 lag time연장 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 그 효과는 관행재배 고추보다 유기재배 고추에 있어서 더 우수한 것으로 관찰되었고, 녹색고추보다 적색고추에 있어 그 효과가 더 뛰어난 것으로 평가되었다. 이러한 결과는 위에서 분석한 각 시료에 함유된 항산화 성분들의 함량과 관련이 있는 결과라 판단되며, 유기재배 고추가 관행재배 고추보다 유용성분 및 생리활성 측면에서 더 우수함을 시사하는 결과라 사료된다. 그러나 한편으로 본 연구결과는 고추에 국한된 성과라 할 수 있으며, 유기재배 방법 및 다양한 환경조건에 따라 그 결과 또한 다양성을 보일 수 있음에 주의를 기울일 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate what influence the external variables of the RFID system for eco-friendly agricultural products such as reliability, safety, effectiveness and innovation have on ease and usefulness, perceived value and behavioral intention. An empirical analysis were conducted to the general consumers over the age of 20 years who live in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas having experience of buying eco-friendly agricultural products in department stores, supermarkets and eco-friendly agricultural product specialty stores from November 10 to November 23, 2012, A total of 350 copies of questionnaire were distributed for this research and, excluding partial ones that were too concentrated on one side or found missing values, a total of 305 copies(87.1%) were used as the final statistical analysis data. The result shows that such external variables of the RFID system for eco-friendly agricultural products as liability, safety, effectiveness and innovation are useful enough as a theoretical basis for later study on RFID systems for eco-friendly agricultural products. Also, it reveals that, since all the process from production to sale of agricultural products can be seen, the products are provided safely for consumers, are objectively and rapidly investigated when problems occur, induce a positive attitude with their historical information, and are supplied through systematic management such as consumers' rights to know and choose and recall of unfit products.

  • This study investigates the impact of the attributes of the eco-friendly agricultural products traceability system on perceived value and behavioral intention. Empirical subjects are those who live in Seoul and Gyeonggi province, over the age of 20 and have experience of buying eco-friendly agricultural products though department stores, discount stores and specialized eco-friendly product stores. After distributing 550 copies of questionnaire from April 10th, 2013 to May 9th, 2013, 470 copies(85.5%) are used for a final statistical analysis of the survey after excluding the copies with biased opinions or missing values. The results of this study show sufficient theoretical base for future research by verifying a causal relationships between the attributes of eco-friendly agricultural products traceability system such as reliability, safety and innovation, and consumers' perceived value and behavioral intention. Therefore, producers should correctly record producing history base so that consumers can continue to use the system. The traceability system can not only satisfy consumers by enhancing transparent management and producing systems for eco-friendly products but also guarantee us to eat all products we get without worries.

  • Recently, there has been much research and many attempts to enhance converged information technology services using new technology such as ubiquitous sensor networks (USN) in medical, environmental, industrial, and logistic areas. There has also been much research and various attempts to apply this new technology to agricultural areas. However, applications to the agricultural areas should be considered differently against the same areas such as medical, environmental, industrial, and logistics. Therefore, this paper suggests that an agricultural cultivating management and traceability system. This system is a unified system that supports the processes sowing seeds through selling agricultural products to consumers. Farmers can be provided with an effective calendar for cultivation and weather information in real time as well as the monitoring of the growth of farm products on the farm in real time using this system. Farmers can also control all equipment installed on the farm directly or remotely and the equipment can be controlled automatically when the measured values such as temperature and humidity deviate from the decent criteria which are set by farmers or this system. Additionally, the reliability for and the better quality of the agricultural products can be improved because farmers can use this unified system to cover all processes from sowing seeds to selling to consumers.
