A Study on Selected Station Analysis of AFC-Based Integrated Transit Network - Focused on Subway Transfer Stations in Seoul Metropolitan Area - (AFC-기반 통합대중교통 네트워크의 Selected Station Analysis (SSA) 연구 - 수도권 지하철 환승역사를 중심으로 -)

  • This research is motivated by the question, "Where, when, and through what mode does an individual passenger moving within a subway station use to travel from starting to final destinations ?" To answer this, the stations passed by the individual passenger, the path taken, and modes used need to be known beforehand. In the metropolitan integrated public transportation fare system, Automated Fare Collection System(AFC) can be a source of information on transit modes, stations, and paths of individual passengers. AFC calculates a fare for the passenger based on travel data such as boarding and alighting stations, time, and mode used. In this research, an Selected Station Analysis(SSA) method, in which AFC data is used to observe passenger movement in the metropolitan public transportation subway station from the perspective of subway transfer stations, is proposed. SSA subdivides individual passenger movement in transfer stations and analyzes initial station/time and final destination station/time information using the trip chain perspective.

Remote Control Management System for Autonomous Ship (자율운항선박을 위한 원격제어관리시스템)

  • Autonomous ship has been sportlighted as a core technology for the maritime industry in Industry 4.0 era. Autonomous ship is expeected to improve the safety, reliability, efficiency and environment significantly. For the realization of the autonomous ship, the remote control of the ship is one of the core functionality in addition to the autonomous ship control functionality in a ship. In this paper, we address a autonomous ship control system based on remote control. This paper proposes a remote control autonomous system and standardized ship-to-shore remote control protocol with for open platform. Finally, we implemented the system and tested with a real experiments with the test ship in order to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed remote control autonomous system.

Modularization of Emergency Broadcasting and Lighting Considering Emergency Scenarios of Urban Railway Vehicle (도시철도차량의 비상 시나리오 분석을 통한 비상방송 및 비상조명의 모듈화 방안 연구)

  • Automatic announcement systems and emergency lights are necessary to prevent urban railway vehicles from accident, according to the emergency response guideline of domestic railroad. When emergency situation occurs, safety regulations and standards for urban railway vehicles specify that the emergency lights must be turn-on over 30 minutes as well as that the announcement should be provided by an attendant. However, as the current emergency systems use different units without a standard and system maintenance and management is not well performed, it is difficult to know the operation status. In this paper, modularized structures are given to standardize the emergency systems. The modularized structures analyzed from emergency scenarios of railway can substitute the existing broadcasting and lighting system. As a result, the optimized modular system considering cost and maintenance can be proposed by comparing all modularizations.

  • This paper proposes an assessment method using probability-based index for safe and successful underwater docking of autonomous underwater vehicles(AUVs) to the docking stations(DSs). The proposed method assesses the probability of docking according to the degree to which the state of the AUV is consistent with the state criteria for docking. The assessment is performed within a specific area considering the kinematic constraints and docking plans of the AUV. The assessment process is defining probability density function, calculating probabilities for reaching the docking station according to the difference to position and heading criteria, and computing the probability-based index in real-time. We verify the validity of the proposed method through analyzing the data acquired on operation test.

Design and Analysis of Cell Controller Operation for Heat Process (열공정에 대한 셀 콘트롤러 운영의 설계와 해석)

  • The construction and operation of industrial automation has been actively taking place from manufacturing plan to production for improving operational efficiency of production line and flexibility of equipment. ISO/TC184 is standardizing on operating methods that can share information of programmable device controllers such as PLC and IoT that are geographically distributed in the production line. In this study, the design of the cell controller consists of PLC group and IoT group that perform signals such as temperature sensors, gas sensors, and pressure sensors for thermal processes and corresponding motors or valves. The operation and analysis of the cell controller were performed using SDN(Software Defined Network) and the three types of process services performed in thermal processes are real-time transmission service, loss-sensitive large-capacity transmission service, and normal transmission service. The simulation result showed that the average loss rate improved by about 17% when the traffic increased before and after the application of the SDN route technique, and the delay in the real-time service was as low as 1 ms.

Study on Practical Use of Air Vehicle Test Equipment(AVTE) for UAV Operation Support (무인항공기 운용 지원을 위한 비행체 점검장비 활용에 관한 연구)

  • AVTE(Air Vehicle Test Equipment) is an equipment to inspect and check the status of on-board aircraft LRUs(Line Replacement Units) before and after flight for performing successful UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) missions. This paper suggests utilization of the AVTE as an operation support-equipment by implementing several critical functions for UAV-operation on the AVTE. The AVTE easily sets initialization(default) data and compensates for the installation and position errors of the LRUs which provide critical mission data and situation image with pilots without additional individual operation support-equipment. Major fault list and situation image data could be downloaded after flight using the AVTE in the event of UAV emergency situation or unusual occurrence on duty as well. We anticipate the suggested operational approach of the AVTE could dramatically reduce the cost and man power for design and manufacture of additional operation support equipment and effectively diminish workload of the operator.

Analysis of methane Emissions on Paddy Water Management Methods (벼 재배 논물관리기술에 따른 메탄 배출량 분석)

  • 전세계적으로 2050년까지 탄소 배출량을 0으로 만들기 위한 탄소중립을 선언하였고, 우리나라에서는 온실가스 감축 목표 달성을 위해 논물관리기술 확산, 가축분뇨 자원순환 등 농업 분야 탄소 저감 계획을 수립하였다. 특히, 논물관리기술을 통한 탄소 저감 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 지역별 적합한 논물관리기술 모델이 개발되어야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 강원도 지역에 적합한 논물관리기술 모델 개발을 위해 강원도 원주시 일대 6개의 시험포를 조성하여 메탄 발생량을 모니터링 하였다. 각 시험포는 상시담수(S1), 4주 중간 물떼기+얕게 걸러 대기(S2), 4주 중간 물떼기+얕게 대기(S3), 3주 중간 물떼기+얕게 걸러 대기(S4), 2주 중간 물떼기+얕게 걸러 대기(S5), 2주 중간 물떼기+얕게 대기(S6)로 논물관리기간을 다르게 설정하였다. 그리고 각 시험포에는 메탄 발생량 모니터링을 위해 각각 3개의 챔버와 논물관리를 위한 자동물꼬조절장치를 설치하였다. 메탄발생량 모니터링은 2022년 5월부터 2022년 9월까지 총 5개월 동안 25회 진행하였다. 메탄 발생량 모니터링 결과 S1은 423.1 kg/ha, S2는 348.4 kg/ha, S3은 396.4 kg/ha, S4는 164.7 kg/ha, S5는 347.9 kg/ha, S6은 234.1 kg/ha 의 메탄이 배출된 것으로 분석되었다. 분석결과와 같이 S1에서 메탄 발생량이 가장 많았으며, S4에서 가장 적게 발생한 것으로 분석되었다. 논에서 발생되는 메탄에 영향을 주는 인자는 토양 유기물, 토양 산도 등이 중요한 요인으로 알려져 있으며, 이앙 전과 수확 후 토양분석을 진행한 결과 시험포별 인자별 변화량 차이가 나타났다. 따라서 장기적인 모니터링을 통해 논물관리기술에 따른 토양유기물 및 토양 산도 변화에 대한 보완이 필요할 것으로 판단되며, 지속적인 메탄 발생량 모니터링을 통해 강원도 지역에 적합한 논물관리기술을 적용해야 할 것으로 보여진다.

ZoomISEG: Interactive Multi-Scale Fusion for Histopathology Whole Slide Image Segmentation (ZoomISEG: 조직 병리학 전체 슬라이드 영상 분할을 위한 대화형 다중스케일 융합)

  • Accurate segmentation of histopathology whole slide images (WSIs) is a crucial task for disease diagnosis and treatment planning. However, conventional automated segmentation algorithms may not always be applicable to WSI segmentation due to their large size and variations in tissue appearance, staining, and imaging conditions. Recent advances in interactive segmentation, which combines human expertise with algorithms, have shown promise to improve efficiency and accuracy in WSI segmentation but also presented us with challenging issues. In this paper, we propose a novel interactive segmentation method, ZoomISEG, that leverages multi-resolution WSIs. We demonstrate the efficacy and performance of the proposed method via comparison with conventional single-scale methods and an ablation study. The results confirm that the proposed method can reduce human interaction while achieving accuracy comparable to that of the brute-force approach using the highest-resolution data.

Extracting Road Points from LiDAR Data for Urban Area (도심지역 LiDAR자료로부터 도로포인트 추출기법 연구)

  • Recently, constructing the database of road network is a main key in various social operation as like the transportation, management, security, disaster assesment, and the city plan in our life. However it need high expenses for constructing the data, and relies on many people for finishing the tasks. This study proposed the classification method for discriminating between the road and building points using the entropy theory, then detects the classes as a expecting road from the classified point group using the standard reflectance intensity of road and the characteristics restricted by raw. Hence the main object of this study is to develop a method which can detect the road in urban area using only the LiDAR data.

  • This paper reports a technique that automatically extracts object shapes through Dense-Net, and subsequently, detects the objects using Mask R-CNN in a manufacturing site, in which workers and objects are mixed. It is based on the customized factory dataset by targeting workers, machines, tools, control boxes, and products as the objects. Mask R-CNN supports multi-object recognition as a well-known object recognition method, while Dense-Net effectively extracts a feature from multiple and overlapping objects. After immediate implementation using the two technologies, the object is naturally extracted from a still image of the manufacturing site to describe image. Afterwards, the result is planned to be used to detect workers' abnormal behavior by adding a label on the objects.
