Emotional Term Thesaurus for the Design Characteristics of Games (게임성 정의를 위한 형용사 시소리스)

  • The development of human-friendly game technologies understanding and responding to human emotion is a very crucial element in designing games. Out of emotion derived from games, this study attempted to define characteristics of games as a meaning representing the degree of reaching the targeted emotion. When examining most of researches regarding emotion, it has been noted that they tried to extract the most representative emotion through the systematization of emotional vocabulary and evaluate it by the association with the design elements in question. However, this definition would be beneficial only to understanding the direction of game entity and it could not express the emotion of concrete and objective players. Therefore, this study attempted to analyze the sense correlation of adjectives so as for emotional expressions to be represented accurately corresponding to players' intention, by using adjective thesaurus for the systematic understanding of such game entity.

Understanding "Authenticity" in Records Management: A Survey of Practitioners and Users

  • This paper examines the concepts and language that practitioners actually use when talking about authenticity, which is one of the most significant concepts in archives, and explores how they in records and information management currently understand the construct of authenticity in their professional activities. This paper provides brief descriptive statistics drawn from a survey and then analysis related to providing authenticity; the difficulties of judging something authentic; and definitions of authenticity as used and understood in the context of respondents' professional activity. The analysis provides indications of how professionals actually understand and use the concept of authenticity in their professional work depending on the context; and how these professionals react differently to paper records and electronic records. The paper concludes with a discussion of how this preliminary analysis fits within the context of the outcomes of prior electronic records research.

  • Variable Message Sign (VMS), which provides drivers with direct information about state of traffic congestion and for prevent an accident, is the most effective method among the methods of providing information in Advanced Transportation Management System. Currently establishment and the VMS which is operated foundation lets in Guidelines on the use of Variable message sign (a book of the VMS) of 1999 November the Ministry Construction & Transportation, these contents mean main viewpoint on physical part such as message special quality variable (font, character size and line space, word interval) and position mainly among standard about establishment in general. But, it is true that using without effect verification on the character of VMS display and that using mode of stationary-centered. In this paper, it executed significance test to effort verification on the character of VMS display for more practical and effective information transmission based on the driver viewpoint For the researches; develop 3D-Simulation, select characteristics of driver's visual cognition behavior (the conspicuity, the legibility and the comprehensibility), evaluation each issue (day or night, 80km/h or 100km/h). Especially, that used the Eye Marker Recorder to measure of reading-time (legibility) thus, confirmed objectivity and reduce an observational error. The results showed that the conspicuity is Flashing> Stationary>Scroll. The legibility is not deference that Flashing between stationary form. Also the comprehensibility result showed that Flashing> Stationary>Stroll form.

우리 나라 방사성폐기물 처분안전성 확인 연구

  • 한국원자력연구원은 1997년부터 10여년 동안 정부 출연 연구기관으로서 원자력 발전의 부산물인 사용후핵연료를 포함한 다양한 방사성폐기물의 안전한 처분을 확인하기 위한 연구 개발에 주력해 왔다. 처분 안전성 확인(Safety Case)이란 개념은 지난 10여년 전부터 OECD/NEA와 SKB 등 서구 지역 국가들을 중심으로 발전된 처분 안전성에 대한 인허가 및 신뢰성 증진을 위한 통합적 접근 방안으로 미국, 영국 등 법률적 규정에 의거 안전성을 규제 기관과 법원 등이 개업된 청문회 등을 통해 다루는 체제와 상반되는 개념이다. 이러한 처분 안전성 확인은 처분 개념과 안전성 확인 개념화부터 인허가에 관련된 각종 보고서 작성과 이해성 증진을 위한 다양한 활동을 총합하는 개념으로 방사성폐기물 사업자가 아닌 객관적이고 전문성 있는 기관들이 추진하는 것이 바람직 할 것이다.

Research on Non-Union Representation for Contingent Worker's Representation Mechanism : Focusing on CSO's Representation Mechanism in Civil Society (비정규 노동자 이해대표 기제로서 비노조 이해대표에 관한 연구 : 시민사회진영 내 CSO를 통한 이해대변 기제를 중심으로)

  • While the unionization of contingent workers is at a standstill, the newly emerging peripheral workers' representation mechanism is CSO(Civil Society Organization). Unlike trade union's representation based on coercive collective bargaining and agreements CSO represents the interests of marginal workers through counseling, advocacy, public relations, and education. In the case of Korea, since the 2000s, labor CSOs, called "contingent centers", have started to spread. As a result of the survey, contingent centers which are contracted out by local governments show the possibility that the representation activities are restricted, because most of their resources are covered from the local government. This is because CSOs have limitations due to a dilemma in the process of representing funders and the represented. Nevertheless, the contingent workers' CSO in Korea shows the possibility of supplementing and supporting the role of trade unions' representation. In this regard, through the solidarity of trade unions and CSOs, it will be possible to expand the representation of unorganized and contingent workers in Korean society.

  • It is significant that students understand why they have to learn mathematics, because such understanding has a powerful impact not only on affective but also on cognitive aspects in mathematics education. However, studies on in what ways students perceive the purpose of mathematics education are not sufficient. Given this background, this study examined 6th grade students' conception on the intention of learning mathematics by survey and Interview in order to raise subtle but important issues to improve mathematics education. Elementary students showed that they didn't perceive the multiple purposes of mathematics education. Their conceptions were focused on practicality, academic values and the preparation for the future of mathematics. Lower achievers had a tendency to relatively more negative responses to the purposes of mathematics education. This study underlines the importance of the purpose of studying mathematics on the part of students.

The Effects of Taking Elective Chemistry II Courses in High School on Understanding Concepts of Electrochemistry in General Chemistry: Focusing on Chemical Cell (고등학교 화학II 선택과목 이수가 대학 일반화학의 전기화학 관련 개념의 이해에 미치는 영향: 화학전지를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the conception type change and to investigate the effect of understanding on concepts in electrochemistry after general chemistry lessons. The significant differences in concept understanding of electrochemistry were shown in both groups. Statistically significant gains in both groups were as shown in distinguishing the chemical cell, in identifying the anode and cathode, and in understanding current formation and flow, while, significant achievements in understanding the role of the salt bridge, and the need for a standard half-cell were not found. Taking elective chemistry II in high school had an effect on understanding related concepts of electrochemistry in general chemistry lessons. It was shown that many freshmen had difficulties in understanding exact related concepts in several kinds after general chemistry lessons. In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to teach contents of the basic concepts in electrochemistry exactly and to hold supplementary lessons.

  • Service industry has become the most important industry among various economic activities. These rapid changes have made the business environment more integral and important to balance the interests of various stakeholders. However, when a new service enters South Korea, there is a need to establish an identity that helps the various stakeholders to have a consistent understanding because different stakeholders have different understandings about the service. This paper is a study on the application of the optimized identity to the medical Marijuana service and the implementation plan. It consists of three steps: theoretical consideration, development of the optimization identity structure, and application to the medical Marijuana service.

The effect of types of test information on learning performance in the e-Learning contents (e-러닝 컨텐츠에서 문제풀이 정보의 제시유형에 따른 성과 차이 분석)

  • There are significant changes are in education field: the paradigm shift from teacher-centered and text-oriented learning to learner-centered and multimedia-oriented learning. Many researchers have proposed that the e-learning contents is one of the most important factors on e-learning performance. This study analyzes the effect of types of test information on learning performance in e-learning contents. The results show that the interaction effect between types and gender influences the comprehension of learning; the female prefers to the feedback and narrative type but the male prefer to the narrative type. The narrative type showed the highest score on the comprehension and satisfaction of learning among three different types. Also, the main effect of gender difference had no effect on e-learning performance.
