Analysis of the Differences in Perception about Scientists between Science Class and Convergence Class Applicants in Gifted Science Education Center (과학영재교육원의 과학반과 융합반에 지원한 학생들의 과학자에 대한 인식 차이 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of convergence gifted students through the their perception of the differences about scientists between Science class and Convergence class in gifted science education center. Consequently, this article reports that there are differences in the perception about scientists was distinction between applicants of Convergence and Science class. Science class applicants mainly recognized scientists as pure scientists, but Convergence class applicants recognized scientist were including mathematician, artist, architect, etc. Also Convergence class applicants thought that affective domain including 'effort', 'patience', 'interest' was more important that Science class applicants. On the other hand, when they described the scientists, Science class applicants knew their achievements as scientists more specifically than Convergence class. And to conclude, the characteristics were different between Convergence and Science class applicants in gifted science education center. Based on the result of this study, this paper suggests the following: Firstly, conceptual study is urgent about convergence gifted students in their definition and characteristics. Secondly, information regarding the criteria to select student for convergence class in gifted science education center. Finally, when teaching convergence gifted students, attention should be paid to their characteristics such affective domain.

Analytic Study on the Effectiveness of Computational Thinking based STEAM Program (컴퓨팅 사고력 기반 융합인재교육 프로그램의 효과성 분석 연구)

  • A SW competency based on computational thinking is considered as one of the core competencies in the future society. However, the concept of computational thinking is difficult to be introduced to the class because of the lack of appropriate educational program and the shortage of proper understandings of students and teachers. Thus, we have applied computational thinking based STEAM program and analyzed its effectiveness to explore the educational possibilities of computational thinking. The 49 samples were selected, 23 for the experimental group, and 26 for the control group. Pre-post tests for integrated thinking abilities and computational thinking were done to explore the CT-STEAM program's effectiveness. As a result, the components of integrated thinking abilities, science preference and self-directed learning abilities were enhanced after CT-STEAM instruction. In addition, computational thinking assessment score was statistically significant. We expect new STEAM programs using various computing tools to be developed in the future.

Suggestion of Engineering Aesthetics as a Model of Convergence-Based Courses Between Engineering, Arts and Humanities (공학·예술·인문학 융합교과 개발 모델로서의 「공학미학」 제안)

  • Convergence education is one of the most frequently studied topics in the academic world as well as other various areas of the society today. The importance of convergence-based course in engineering education has long been discussed and resulted in society-wide consensus with series of attempts to apply the theory. To bring about fruitful outcome through theses efforts, we have to establish the sustainable and systematic convergence education in engineering. With this goal, we will cover the critical comprehension on the modern studies divided by three concepts(the truth, the good, and the beauty) and review the notion of "Transdisciplinarity", thereby proposing the macro goals of the convergence-based course in engineering. To realize our goals, we will suggest "Engineering aesthetics" as a convergence-based course in engineering.

전통한우(칡소)의 귀세포를 이용한 핵이식에서 전기융합 조건이 핵이식 수정란의 발달에 미치는 영향

  • 전기자극은 핵이식 시 수핵난자와 공여핵의 융합을 위해 보편적으로 사용되는 방법이다(Robl, 1999). 그러나 부적절한 전기자극은 수핵난자 세포질에 해를 입히고, 이후의 배발달에 좋지 않은 영향을 준다. 본 실험은 체세포 핵이식을 \circled1 1.9㎸/cm, 20$\mu\textrm{s}$ 2회, \circled22.0㎸/cm, 20$\mu\textrm{s}$ 2회, \circled32.2㎸/cm, 10$\mu\textrm{s}$ 2회, 및 \circled41.9㎸/cm, 30$\mu\textrm{s}$ 2회의 전기자극으로 융합을 실시하여 각 자극 별 융합율과 난자의 lysis율을 비교하고, 배양 후 배반포 발생율을 조사하였다. 공여핵은 칡소의 귀 세포를 10% FBS가 첨가된 DMEM에서 39$^{\circ}C$, 5%$CO_2$의 incubator에서 배양하여 monolayer confluent형성 후 0.5% FBS가 첨가된 DMEM에서 3-4일간 배양 후 trypsin처리하여 제핵된 체외성숙 난자에 핵이식하였다. \circled1,\circled2,\circled3,\circled4의 핵이식 조건을 이용하여 공여핵의 체세포와 수핵란 세포질간의 융합을 유도한 결과, 융합율은 각각 50.7%, 48.1%, 65.5%, 및 33.3%였으며, 수핵난자의 세포질 lysis율은 39.%1, 41.7%, 22.6%,및 52.7%으로 \circled32.2㎸/cm, 10$\mu\textrm{s}$ 2회의 조건에서 융합율이 유의적으로 높았고, 수핵난자의 세포질 lysis율에 있어서도 다른 군에 비하여 낮았다 각각의 핵이식 조건별로 융합한 후 난할율 및 배반포 발생율은 각각 65.7%, 73.5%, 77.2%, 및 53.3%과 47.8%, 52.0%, 49.7%, 및 21.8%로 나타나 난할율 및 배반포 발생율에 있어서 융합조건에 따라 큰 차이는 없었으나 1.9㎸/cm, 30$\mu\textrm{s}$ 2회의 조건이 다른 조건들에 비하여 유의적으로 낮았다. 따라서, 체세포와 수핵란 세포질간의 융합율과 배반포 발생에 미치는 영향은 전압보다는 시간에 더 크게 받음을 알 수 있었으며, 이와 같은 결과에서 융합시 시간을 오래 주는 것보다 전압을 높이는 것이 수핵난자의 세포질에 상해를 줄이고 이후 배반포 발생에 유리할 것으로 사료되었다.

Social Network Analysis on Interdisciplinary Collaboration of Convergence Technologies Specialists (융합기술전문가의 공동연구에 대한 사회적 연결망 분석)

  • Converging technologies have become a major issue in science policy. This paper describes the current state of scientific collaboration for convergent technologies among researchers in South Korea, by conducting Social Network Analysis (SNA) with the data set of 1,095 researchers who have involved in the development of the convergent technologies. It is found that the researchers in convergent technology are more productive than the researchers in other technology domains. However, the researchers in convergent technologies have small number of collaborators, compared with their productivity. Only a few researchers have a role of the hub in the collaboration networks, meaning that the structure network is closer to than the core than the peripheral. The scientific collaboration network of the convergent technology researchers shows that the members of the network are close to each other, but there is small number of cliques.

  • This paper is proposed a wavelet-based the order statistics MAD(Median Absolute Deviation) method of image fusion of Multi-image contaminated with visible image and infrared image. also The method of compared and defined the threshold the wavelet coefficients using MAD of the wavelet coefficients of the detail subbands was proposed to effectively fusion which of selected the high quality image of the two images. The existed fusion rule may be possible to get the distorted fusion image especially by the distortion in the relation between the pixel and indicator of two images in the existed fusion rules. In order to complement the disadvantage, the threshold of the proposed method sets up the image statistic and excludes the distortion. The hardware design is used FPGA of Xilinx and DSP system for the image fusion and compressed encoding of the proposed algorithm. Therefore the proposed method is totally verified by comparing with the several other multi-image and the proposed image fusion.

A Study on the Critical Success Factors and Policy Direction of ICT-based Convergency Company (ICT기반 융합기업의 성공 요인 및 정책방향에 대한 연구)

  • ICT convergence has attracted attention as a major means of corporate innovation. In this study in-depth interviews was had to analyze the success factors of ICT-based companies that created a performance through the convergence. The success factors of ICT convergence were analyzed by differentiating your company's products and services through the integration of ICT skills, securing convergence technologies with enhanced R&D investment, and the strong leadership of CEO and collaborative relationships at home and abroad for convergence. It is a positive impact on success of ICT convergence to try the innovations in products, to invest R&D aggressively and to construct a global partnership network. As these results, they was proposed as a policy direction for the diffusion of ICT convergence.

토양에서 분리한 pseudomonas sp. 에 의한 phosphinothricin 과 glyphosate의 생분해

  • This study describes isolation and identification of a soil bacterium which is degradable of phosphinothricin and improvement of the isolated strain by using mutagenesis and spheroplast fusion. The experiment was performed to search for a possibility of development of a new strain which is both PPT-degradable and glyphosate-resistant by using interspecies cell fusion between the PPT-degrading bacterium. Pseudornonu.\ puucimohlis and a glyphosate -resistant strain, Pseudornonu.~ cc,pucicl. Auxotrophic mutants were obtained by the treatement of P. puucimohili.\ with ethylmethanosulfate, and used to cell fusion. Lysozyme and EDTA were used to spheroplast formation and regeneration rates :)f the spheroplast were 6.5'%1 in P. pauc.irnohili.\ and 8.8% in P.ci,j~u[,i(lr, espctively. Polyethylenglycol 5.000 was used to cell fusion as fusogen. The fusant\ulcorner F1. F2. F\ulcorner and F4 werc- obtained by the intra- and interspecies cell fusion. The fusant Fl of intraspecies cell fusion was higher to the wild type by 1 I'%l in PPT degrading ability, and the fusant F3 of inierspesis cell fusion developed plyphosatc-resistant and PPI-dcgrading ability which were propertics of two parental strains.

Analysis on Momentum from which Humanities and Social Sciences-based Convergence Researchers Began Research and Motive Factors of Research Consistency (인문사회기반 융합연구자들의 연구 시작 계기와 연구 지속 원동력 요인 분석)

  • Researchers are persons who are destined to produce improved knowledge, with duty, responsibility and desire for overcoming limits of the existing knowledge in continuously changing natural and social environments. In addition, both drawing research outcomes 'contributing to the society' by tapping on 'researches convergent with other disciplines', to 'deducing meaningful research outcomes' and 'operating laboratories for fostering convergence talents', for the consistency of incessant researches are the momentum for convergence researchers to continue convergence researches. However, an irony fact is that 53.1% of convergence researchers respond that they began convergence researches from happenstantial momentum (a happenstantial talk with other majors)'. This study examined what was the momentum from which convergence researches began and what was the motive with which they have been consistently conducted and suggested how to continue convergence researches.

  • The purpose of this research is to study possibilities of animation education in art centered STEAM. We suggest not the animation education contents model of a functional skills of the past but the one for STEAM. In order to suggest the role of animation education, we should first study the convergence values of animation. And this study make a curriculum of animation for the creativity by convergence thinking. Finally, this study build the animation class model applied in STEAM by Fogarty's integrated education method. By studying, we can get the result that animation has the convergence characteristics and it has the effective role of art centered STEAM education for the convergence thinking. Also, it is expected that the results of this study will contribute to education and training of convergence of the global talent with creativity in STEAM.
