A Study on the Stability of Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) Films of Saturated Fatty Acid Monolayer (포화지방산 단분자층 LB막의 안정성에 관한 연구)

  • We were investigated the stability through the electrochemical characteristics of saturated fatty acid(C12, C14, C16, C18) monolayer LB films by cyclic voltammetry. Saturated fatty acid monolayer LB films was deposited on the indium tin oxide(ITO) glass by the LB method. The electrochemical properties were measured by cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system in 0.1 N $NaClO_4$ solution. The measuring range was continuously oxidized to 1650 mV, with an initial potential of -1350 mV was reduced. Scanning rates of 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 mV/s were set. As a result, LB monolayer films of saturated fatty acid were appeared on irreversible processes by the oxidation current from the cyclic voltammogram. Diffusion coefficient(D) of saturated fatty acid(C12, C14, C16, and C18) was calculated 22.231, 2.461, 7.114 and 2.371 ($cm^2s^{-1}{\times}10^{-4}$) in 0.1 N $NaClO_4$ solution, respectively.

  • Electrical impedance tomography is a nondestructive imaging technique to reconstruct unknown conductivity distribution based on applied current data and measured voltage data through an array of electrodes attached on the periphery of a domain. In this paper, an inverse method based on truncated singular value decomposition is proposed to solve the inverse problem with the generalized Tikhonov regularization and to reconstruct the conductivity distribution. In order to reduce the inverse computational time, truncated singular value decomposition is applied to the inverse term after the generalized regularization matrix is taken out from the inverse matrix term. Numerical experiments and phantom experiments have been performed to verify the performance of the proposed method.

Design of the IPI-IFA using the Inverted PI Feeder (역 파이 급전 방식을 적용한 IPI-IFA)

  • Design of IPI(Inverted PI) feeding internal antenna for the gain improvement of mobile phone was proposed. IPI feeding structure affects on both low radiation resistance of antenna and increase current for the internal antenna such as IFA(Inverted F Antenna). By these facts, antenna fed by IPI can get the gain improvement with increasing radiation efficiency. For the verification, we applied IPI feeding structure to conventional quad band IFA. Measurement shows that IPI-IFA has 0.3~2.0[dB] higher gain than conventional IFA on GSM/DCS/USPCS/WCDMA band.

Wideband Microstrip Antenna with the Double U-slots (이중 U-슬롯을 이용한 광대역 마이크로스트립 안테나)

  • In this paper, the broadband microstrip antenna with small size, thin-profile, conformability and ease of manufacture is proposed for providing PCS(down link: 1.75GHz∼1.78GHz, up link: 1.84GHz∼1.87GHz) '||'&'||' IMT-2000(down link: 1.92GHz∼1.98GHz, up link: 2.11GHz∼2.17GHz) services simultaneously. By using double U-slots and matching stub, the bandwidth and operating performance of printed antenna was significantly improved, with need for a complex fabrication procedure. We have also studied the various parameters of the U-slot$_2$for the performances of the antenna. Impedance bandwidth of the wideband microstrip antenna with the double U-slots is about 30.45% (VSWR<2)

  • In this paper, we proposed a charge pump (CP) circuit that has a wide operating range while reducing the current mismatch for the PLL that generates the main clock of the CMOS X-Ray detector. The operating range and current mismatch of the CP circuit are determined by the characteristics of the current source circuit for the CP circuit. The proposed CP circuit is implemented with a wide operating current mirror bias circuit to secure a wide operating range and a cascode structure with a large output resistance to reduce current mismatch. The proposed wide operating range cascode CP circuit was fabricated as a chip using a 350nm CMOS process, and current matching characteristics were measured using a source measurement unit. At this time, the power supply voltage was 3.3 V and the CP circuit current ICP = 100 ㎂. The operating range of the proposed CP circuit is △VO_Swing=2.7V, and the maximum current mismatch is 5.15 % and the maximum current deviation is 2.64 %. The proposed CP circuit has low current mismatch characteristics and can cope with a wide frequency range, so it can be applied to systems requiring various clock speed.

  • The signal transduction pathway for most neurotransmitter induced inhibition of $Ca^{2+}$ channels in sympathetic neurons involves a G-protein mediated, membrane-delimited mechanism without the participation of any known protein kinase. However, activation of protein kinase C (PKC) has been proposed as one of the intracellular mechanisms mediating some neurotransmitter induced $Ca^{2+}$ channel inhibition. In the present study, we investigated the effects of phorbol-12, 13-dibutyrate (PDBu) on $Ca^{2+}$ channel currents of acutely dispersed neurons from adult rat superior cervical ganglion (SCG) neurons using whole cell variant of the patch clamp technique. PDBu (500 nM), the activator of PKC, increased $Ca^{2+}$ channel currents and retarded the deactivation of tail currents. The effects of PDBu were voltage dependent and the maximal increase in the current amplitudes was observed between -10 to 10 mV (n=4). PDBu attenuated $Ca^{2+}$ current inhibition induced by norepinephrine (NE), which modulates $Ca^{2+}$ channels via a pertussis toxin (PTX)-sensitive pathway. Inhibition of PDBu by staurosporine (1 $\mu$M) blocked the effects of PDBu on current amplitudes and NE-induced G-protein mediated inhibition of $Ca^{2+}$ currents. Further experiment should be done to know if G-protein or $Ca^{2+}$ channel itself is the target of PKC phosphorvlation.phosphorvlation.

Design and Implementation of Dual Wideband Dipole Type Antenna for the Reception of S-DMB and 2.4/5 GHz WLAN Signals (S-DMB와 2.4/5 GHz WLAN 신호 수신을 위한 이중 광대역 다이폴형 안테나의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented a dual wideband dipole type antenna for the reception of S-DMB (Satellite Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) and 2.4/5 GHz WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) signals. The proposed antenna based on conventional monopole type dual band antenna was implemented as planar wideband dipole type antenna with the volume of $8{\times}33.8{\times}1.68mm^3$. The proposed antenna is printed type on FR4 substrate of 1.6 mm thick and composed of a dipole type antenna for low frequency band and two symmetric structured resonance elements for high frequency band. We confirmed antenna area with dense surface current for each frequency band with simulation. By varying the length of the antenna area with dense surface current, we could vary resonance frequency of each frequency band separately. Impedance bandwidths$(VSWR{\leq}2)$ are 362 MHz(14.23 %) for 2 GHz band and 1188 MHz(22.13, %) for 5 GHz band which show wideband characteristic. Measured maximum gains were 4.33 dBi for 2 GHz band and 5.48 dBi for 5 GHz band which showed improved performance. And the implemented antenna has a good omni-directional radiation pattern characteristic.

  • The electrical drift mobility of charge carrier of Cholesteryl Benzoate was measured by Polarity inversion method in the temperature range 140~ 185$^{\circ}C$. with a view to revealing the mechanism of charge carrier transport. The electrical drift mobility of charge carrier of that increased from 2.5$\times$10-7$\textrm{cm}^2$/V.sec to 2.0$\times$10-6$\textrm{cm}^2$/v.sec as the temperature increased. As a result of the experiment, the mechanism of current transport is believed to be ionic mechanism.

  • 본 논문에서는 승압형 컨버터의 온/오프 스위칭 손실을 줄이기 위한 새로운 저손실 스너버 회로를 제안한다 제안하는 회로는 인덕터의 보조 권선을 통해 회로를 구성하며 부가되는 소자의 수가 작은 장점을 갖는다 제안하는 회로는 턴온 때에는 인덕터 보조 권선에 의해 스위치로 흐르는 전류의 상승을 제한하는 효과가 나타나므로 다이오드 역회복 전류에 의한 스위치 손실을 줄여준다. 동시에 턴오프시에는 스너버 회로를 통한 스위치 전압의 상승을 완만히 해주므로 역시 손실을 줄여준다. 본 논문에서는 1kW급의 단상 역률보상회로에 제안하는 회로를 구성하여 이의 동작을 검증하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 단상 5-레벨 cascaded 인버터의 출력 전압 및 전류의 파워 스펙트럼을 광대역으로 분산시키기 위한 멀티 캐리어 RPW(Random PWM)기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 고정 주파수의 멀티 캐리어 대신에 랜덤한 주파수의 삼각파 캐리어를 사용하고 있다. PD(Phase Disposition)방식 및 H(Hybrid)방식의 멀티 캐리어 RPW을 단상 cascade H-브리지 멀티 레벨 인버터에 적용하였다. 각 방식에 따른 출력 전압과 전류 파형 및 고조파 스펙트럼을 PSIM에 의하여 확인하였으며, 제안된 방식의 타당성을 입증할 수 있었다.
