유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 정서표현성과 결혼만족도 및 스트레스 대처방식 간의 관계 (The Relationship among Emotional Expressiveness, Marital Satisfaction, and Stress Coping Style of Preschool Mothers)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among emotional expressiveness, marital satisfaction, and stress coping styles of preschool mothers. The subjects for this study were 158 mothers whose children, 4-6 years of age, are enrolled in 5 kindergartens in Gyounsang-do. Mothers completed questionnaires reporting their emotional expressiveness, marital satisfaction, and stress coping styles. Data was analyzed by correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis through SPSS 17.0 The findings of the study are as follows: First, there are significant correlations among emotional expressiveness, marital satisfaction, and stress coping styles of the mothers, respectively. Second, mothers' active coping style is significantly influenced by three factors: negative emotional expressiveness, communication and conflict solving, and positive emotional expressiveness. Third, mothers' passive coping style is significantly influenced by three factors: the expectations of their spouse's role, intimacy, and positive emotional expressiveness. In conclusion, it is necessary to encourage mothers to express their positive or negative emotions actively and improve their marital satisfaction to cope with stress effectively.

학령전환기 유아의 문제행동에 대한 연구 (Problem Behaviors of Young Children in the Transitional)

  • 본 연구는 유아의 학령전환기에 있는 만 5세 유아의 문제행동과 관련하여 유아, 교사 및 부모의 관련 변인과 유아의 문제행동에 통계적인 유의미한 차이가 있는지 살펴보고, 변인들의 상대적인 영향력을 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구대상은 학령전환기에 있는 만 5세 유아와 그들의 부모, 그리고 만 5세 유아의 담임교사를 대상으로 하였다. 연구방법은 빈도와 백분율, t-검증, 일원변량분석, 상관관계분석, 그리고 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과로는 첫째, 유아의 문제행동은 어머니 학력에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 둘째, 유아의 기질, 유아의 자아탄력성, 어머니의 양육스트레스, 어머니의 인성특성, 교사-유아관계, 교사의 정서표현성과 유아의 문제행동은 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 셋째, 교사-유아관계가 유아의 문제행동을 가장 잘 예언하는 변인으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아변인과 부모변인, 교사변인이 각각 그리고 상호적으로 유아의 문제행동에 대해 어느 정도 설명력을 갖는지를 살펴봄으로서 문제행동에 대한 총체적 이해와 실천에서의 통합모델을 제시하였다고 본다.

유아의 성, 연령, 기질 및 어머니의 정서성과 유아의 정서 발달의 관계 (The Relationship between Children's Gender, Age, Temperament, Mothers' Emotionality, and Emotional Development)

  • The purpose of this research was to identify the importance of emotional development in early childhood, in children ages three to five, by examining the relationship between the variables in the children such as gender, age, and temperament, as well as their mothers' emotionality, in relation to emotional development. The participants included a total of 72 children between three and five years of age. The major findings are as follow: First, there were significant differences in emotional expression and emotional recognition between the boys and the girls. Additionally, the emotional recognition of the children increased as age increased, and more positive strategies for emotional regulation were used with the increasing age of the children. Temperament characteristics did not have any relationship with emotional expression or emotional recognition, while the strategies for emotional regulation were related to the temperament characteristics. Second, the emotional expressivity of the mother was related to the emotional expression and recognition of the child, but wes not associated with strategies for emotional regulation. The emotional reactivity of the mother was related to a child's strategies for emotional regulation, but not to emotional expression or recognition. Third, emotional development of the children wes influenced by the individual child variables and emotionality of the mother.

유아의 까다로운 기질 및 유아의 부정적 정서표현에 대한 어머니의 반응유형과 유아의 정서조절전략 간의 관계 (Child Difficult Temperament and Mothers' Reaction to Child Negative Emotion as Predictors of Child Emotion Regulation Strategy)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of difficult temperament and mothers' reactions to child negative emotion on child emotion regulation strategies. Mothers of 253 preschoolers(Mage=4.04yrs.) responded to questionnaires on child temperament, mothers' reactions to child negative emotion, and child emotion regulation strategy. The results of regression analysis revealed that; 1) child difficult temperament positively predicted child's aggressive or outburst/appealing strategies whereas negatively predicted avoidance/none strategy; 2) child difficult temperament was not the variable predicting positive coping strategy, but mothers' emotion-focused or problem-focused reactions predicted child positive coping strategy whereas punitive or distress reactions predicted either aggressive or avoidance/none strategy; 3) child temperament moderated the link between mothers' reactions to child's negative emotion expression and child emotion regulation strategies. In particular, children with higher difficult temperament showed higher aggressive strategy under mothers' higher distress or punitive reaction and lower emotion focused or problem focused reaction. On the other hand, children with lower difficult temperament only showed avoidance/ none strategy when mothers showed higher minimization or punitive reaction. The results of current study underscore both child temperament, mothers' reactions and their interactions in predicting child emotion regulation strategies.

부모의 양육태도와 사회적 지지가 아동의 정서지능에 미치는 영향 (A Study On the Effect of Parent's Rearing Attitudes, Social Support On the Children's Emotional Intelligence)

  • 본 연구는 부모의 양육태도와 사회적 지지가 아동의 정서지능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 알아보는데 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기위해 초등학교 4.5.6학년 아동 243명을 대상으로 부모 양육태도 검사, 사회적 지지 검사, 정서지지능 검사를 설문지 조사를 통해 측정하였으며, SPSS 프로그램을 통하여 통계분석을 하였다. 연구 결과를 보면, 첫째, 어머니의 양육태도와 아버지의 양육태도가 개방-폐쇄형, 자율-타율형의 순으로 비슷한 경향을 보였으며, 정서지능은 정서인식, 감정이입 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 사회적 지지는 평균보다 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 차이를 보면 양육태도는 성별에 대한 차이를 보였으며, 정서지능에서는 정서표현과 정서조절에서 차이를 보였고, 사회적 지지에서는 친구지지와 가족지지에서 차이를 보여주었다. 셋째, 부모의 양육태도와 정서지능 및 사회적 지지는 서로 약한 상관을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 부모의 양육태도와 사회적 지지는 정서지능에 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 부모의 양육태도와 사회적 지지에서 가족의 지지와 교사의 지지는 아동에게 매우 높은 영향력을 행사하고 있었으며, 이러한 결과는 가족의 지지와 학교에서의 지지가 아동의 정서지능에 상당한 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

아동의 부정적 정서표현에 대한 어머니 반응 척도 개발과 타당화 (The Development and Validity of a Scale for Measuring Mother's Reaction to Children's Negative Emotions)

  • The aim of this study was to develop and validate measures of a mother's reaction to children's negative emotions. After construct factors of a mother's reaction to children's negative emotions based on the theoretical basis and existing scales were explored, the first preliminary items were extracted. After the content validity was confirmed by expert opinions, the second preliminary items were composed, and the initial survey was carried out. Using exploratory factor analysis, three principal factors and 21 items were revealed to be most suitable. The factors of the scale consist of emotion-coaching-reactions, oversensitive reactions, and emotion-minimizing-reactions, respectively. In addition, the reliability analysis and validation analysis of the scale was conducted, by means of surveying 413 elementary students. The internal coherence reliability and test-retest reliability were verified as was the general internal coherence and timing stability of the scale. There were three additional verifications to validate the scale. (1)For the evidence based on internal structure, the confirmatory factor analysis and convergent-discriminant evidence; this resulted in confirming the factor structure of the scale as being reliable. (2)In order to understand the relationships to other variables, the correlation analysis came in effect to the overall scale and each of its sub-factors, showing that they are significantly correlated with the scale of the child's perception on rearing attitudes of the mother. (3)As for evidence based on the consequences of the test, the correlation analysis produced a result showed that sub-factors of the scale have as significant correlation with the child's emotional intelligence and resilience.

어머니의 부정적 정서표현이 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 영향 : 유아의 정서성 기질과 정서조절의 순차적 이중매개효과 (The Influence of Maternal Emotional Expression on Preschoolers' Behavior Problems: Dual Mediating Effects of Preschoolers' Emotional Temperament and Emotion Regulation)

  • Objective: This study aimed to examine the dual mediating effects of preschoolers' emotional temperament and emotion regulation in the relationship between maternal emotional expression and preschoolers' behavior problems. Methods: The participants included 167 preschoolers and their mothers from Daegu city and Gyeonsang province. The mothers completed questionnaires regarding their own emotional expression, children's temperament, emotion regulation, and behavior problems. Results: The primary results of this study were as follows. First, there were significant correlations among maternal emotional expression, preschoolers' emotional temperament, emotion regulation, and problem behaviors. Second, maternal emotional expression had an indirect effect on preschoolers' behavior problems through preschoolers' emotional temperament and emotion regulation. Conclusion: This study revealed that maternal negative emotional expression and preschoolers' temperament and emotion regulation need to be considered simultaneously to explain the level of preschoolers' behavior problems. More specifically, the results highlight the dual mediating effects of preschoolers' temperament and emotion regulation in the relationship between maternal negative emotional expression and preschoolers' behavior problems.

분노하는 아동의 상담사례연구 (A Case Study on Child-Centered Play Therapy for Young Child's Anger)

  • 본 연구는 분노감정이 주된 정서조절 이슈의 5세 여아에 대한 아동중심놀이치료 이론을 근거로 한 아동상담 사례이다. 아동 분노의 빈도 및 강도로 인하여 유치원 적응 및 어머니의 양육에 어려움이 있었다. 아동상담은 Full Battery 심리검사 실시 후, 2021년 3월 29일부터 2022년 6월 15일까지 14개월 동안 주 1회씩 아동상담 40분 부모상담 10분의 총 47사례회가 진행되었다. 아동은 주도적인 놀이를 통해 상담사례회기 동안 공격성, 통제성, 애정 및 힘의 욕구를 나타냈으며, 상담실에서 안정감을 느끼며 정서조절능력의 향상이 관찰되었다. 아동은 부모에게 자신의 감정과 요구에 대한 언어와 행동적 표현능력의 향상을 나타내었고, 초등학교 입학 후 원만한 학교적응 양상을 보였다. 어머니는 아동양육이 전보다 편안하다고 보고하였다. 본 연구는 아동의 초등학교 입학 한해 전 14개월 동안 정서조절에 대하여 개입 한 상담사례연구의 결과로, 1학년 학기초 동안 적응적 학교생활양식을 확인한 연구로서도 의의가 있다.

  • Objective: This study examined the effects of mothers' reactions to children's negative emotions on the children's social power through children's emotional regulation ability. Methods: A total of 339 four-year and five- year old preschoolers, and their mother and teachers in Seoul and Gyeongi participated in the study. Data were analyzed by path analysis using AMOS 21.0 program. Results: The results were as follows: First, mothers' reactions to children's negative emotions were significantly related to children's emotional regulation ability and social power. Also, children's emotional regulation ability was significantly associated with children's social power. Second, mothers' reactions to children's negative emotions had indirect effects on social power - prosocial leadership and social dominance-through children's emotional regulation ability. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study revealed the mediating role of children's emotional regulation ability between mothers' reactions to children's negative emotions and children's social power. Also, these findings will be helpful in order to understand children's social power and to develop parent education programs.

어머니의 정서표현 및 자기자비가 유아의 정서조절능력에 미치는 영향: 유아 자기자비의 매개효과 (The Effects of Mothers' Emotional Expression and Self-compassion on Preschoolers' Emotion Regulation: The Mediating Role of Preschoolers' Self-compassion)

  • Objective: This study aimed to determine whether preschoolers' self-compassion mediates the effects of mothers' emotional expression and self-compassion on preschoolers' emotional regulation abilities in children aged 4 to 6 years. Methods: The study included 305 mothers residing in City J who were raising preschoolers aged 4 to 6. Data collected were analyzed for the significance of the mediating effects among the main variables using the GLM Mediation Model in the JAMM package of the Jamovi 2.3.16 statistical program. Results: Firstly, statistically significant positive and negative correlations were found among the main variables. Secondly, preschoolers' positive self-compassion was found to partially mediate the relationship between mothers' positive emotional expression and preschoolers' emotional regulation abilities. Furthermore, preschoolers' negative self-compassion partially mediated the relationship between mothers' negative emotional expressions and preschoolers' emotional regulation abilities. Conclusion/Implications: This study identified parental and child variables influencing preschoolers' emotional regulation abilities and discussed intervention strategies for education and counseling to enhance these abilities.
