It is obviously true that the aspects of interior designs in current use have been combined with changing trends and developed and handed down throughout centuries. An examination of respective characteristics of spaces where Korean presidents have lived during their terms of office could get a useful clue by which both traces of Korean modernism and senses of modeling can be perceived. However, there are not enough literatures that can be verified. Therefore, it would be especially meaningful to find out and analyze documents unearthed. The purpose of this study is to consider the expressiveness of interior designs of presidential residence and office which have been combined with changing trends and developed, while classifying respective cases during presidential tenure by periods of Joseon Government general, U. S military administration, the first Republic, the second Republic, the third and the fourth Republic, the fifth Republic, and the sixth Republic, examining relevant literatures, photos, drawings and making on-the-spot survey. The study is also intended to get a better understanding of the aspects and the features of interior designs shown in presidential residences and offices that are not so much made known due to uneasy access to archives and to document the resources buried in oblivion and to consider the historical meanings.

The vocabulary of modern grand hotels' interior designs reflects western design patterns, showing its nostalgia for modern architecture. And it also contains the trace of past designs implanted by others then, expressing the hardships of Korean history. Like this, the past architectural style distorted under the Japanese imperialistic rule has continued to exist until now without any significant changes, because there has been little effort to figure out the history of modern interior designs. And also there has been the lack of data and aesthetic descriptions about the modern interior designs that contain the historical nature of society. Therefore, this study will review the interior design of modern buildings, which trace back to the fawning of the Korean Interior Design. And it aims to understand the hotel interior's expressive characteristics and historical meanings by paying a particular attention to its lost parts. And it also alms to have a significant meaning in taking the first step toward a clue of the history of Korean modern interiors by systematically putting in order the ever-disappearing materials of modern hotel interiors.

The Late modem society have been changing in so complicated and diverse ways. Each unique parts of both culture and arts are interpenetrating as lowering high of u artistic boundaries lot better communication between environmental contexts in the concept of ‘intertextuality’. Contemporary Interior Design also has freed itself from a conventional boundary of field rather than stay in a single field, which is now shown to attempt a new style of design and expression style connecting itself it to other genre. So in this thesis ‘installation’does not mean a traditional field of arts but for building interior space with environmental area in extended context - place(hyper -reality ), tableau (medium) , transformation (expansion) . Contemporary Interior Design is expanding its range and enhancing its power of expression based on the installating concept and its expression style.

오늘날의 인류는 인위적 환경에 현실적으로 적응하고 있는 동시에, 자연환경으로의 복귀를 지향하려는 행태를 보이고 있다. 실내공간에서의 자연과 인간 그리고 공간이 온전한 공존관계를 유지하여 비자연성, 비인간화를 극복하고 인간과 자연이 함께 교감하며 풍요로와질 수 있는 공간 조성이 절실하다고 할 수 있다. 실내공간에 있어서 환경친화적인 표현을 실내공간에 자연요소로 도입하는 방안과 인간의 주변에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 자연물 또는 질서 있는 변화를 가진 아름다운 형태를 인위적인 디자인 형태로 표현하는 방안으로 나눌 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 실내디자인에 있어서 환경친화적인 특성을 모색하기 위해 먼저 환경친화의 개념과 발달 과정을 정의해 보고, 실내공간에서 광범위하게 나타난 환경친화적인 표현의 특성 중 자연요소 도입과 디자인적인 형태 표현으로 구분하여 진행한다. 연구분석의 사례로는 많은 사람을 수용하는 울산광역시 공공시설의 실내공간으로 제안하였다. 환경친화적인 공간의 형성은 아름답고 쾌적한 생활공간 조성이라는 시대적 요구에 따라 관련 연구가 더욱더 활성화, 전문화되어야 할 것으로 판단된다. 실내공간에서의 자연적 요소와 디자인적 형태의 표현이 폭넓은 이해와 심도 있는 연구로 병행될 때 바람직한 환경친화적인 표현이 창출될 것으로 본다.

This paper has focused on comprehending the interior designs and characteristics of modern department stores in Korea by looking into the birth and changes of those built under the Japanese Forced Occupation Period. The first modem department stores including Mitsukoshi, Georgia and Hwashin Department Stores began to appear in Korea under the Japanese Colonial Rule. They considered a variety of architectural elements like construction planning, shop arrangement, path of customer movement and interior design. The interior of modem department stores aimed to pursue the so-called modernization movement, but failed to fully contain the unique characteristics of the times in that particular period. Modem department stores took on new western styles prevailed in Korea and were characterized by the eclecticism in which various architectural forms exist together. In other words, their interiors implied a sign of the times in the confusing and corrupt world then. Especially those modern department stores were designed, repaired and extended by foreign designers who were ignorant of the history of Korean architecture. What is worse, their further remodelling practices made big mistakes by considering only functional and economical aspects and giving a back seat to the architectural and historical value of existing modern department stores. Therefore, we should make more efforts to study and conserve the fundamentals of modem architectures like modem department stores in order to have better understanding of the aesthetic value of indoor space and facilitating smooth communication between past and present.

본 연구의 목적은 21세기 디자인의 이슈인 인간중심의 디자인, 디지털리즘, 친환경디자인, 문화지향디자인에 부합하는 디자인의 방향성을 실내디자인에서 모색하고자 하는데 있다. 이러한 목적에 접근하는 방법으로써 먼저, 경계형태의 이론적 고찰을 통하여 공간에서 나타나는 경계구조 형태를 이해한다. 그리고 조형예술 및 타 장르에서 표현된 키네티시즘 특성을 조사하여 공간을 구성하는 인자로서의 경계 형태에 도입된 키네티시즘적 표현특성을 도출하고자 한다. 이러한 연구의 진행과정으로써 제 1장에서는 연구의 배경과 목적 및 방법을 설명하고, 제 2장에서는 공간의 경계형태 구조와 키네틱 아트의 전개 및 표현 특성을 살펴본다. 제 3장에서는 현대 건축공간의 동적 표현 양성을 실제적 움직임, 상대적 움직임, 연상적 움직임으로 나누어 고찰하고, 제 4장에서는 3장에서 언급한 세 가지 타입의 움직임 특성이 표현된 현대 공간사례를 조사하여 어떠한 경계구조에 도입되는지를 분석한다. 마지막으로 제 5장에서는 위와 같은 분석을 통해 나타난 결과로서 경계형태에 도입된 키네티시즘의 표현 특성을 도출하여 미래 실내디자인의 방향성을 제시한다.

Modern architecture does a role in terms of connecting traditional and current architecture. In the same time, Which is important part of korean architecture history because of introduction of western architecture. Accordingly, At this meaninglessly going out and leaving of modern architecture, the purpose of this study is systematic researching of the modern Government Office interior. I progressed this study to research into the period context at construction of the modern Government Office and tendency of architecture and interior at that time. And then understand interior space organization of it. The early modern Government Office adopted Neo-Baroque style from tendency of that time. Also, showed composite order which is mixed in the Greek temple, the Renaissance and the classic style representing the power. But, after late 1920 It adopted Modern Style. This characteristic is different from current composit order, which is comprehended by our. In order to understand aesthetic value of current straight interior space, It have to be interacted the present and past. But It's averted because it was made in the period of Japanese imperialism. Therefore, We should explore history of interior design that is endowed with sociality and historicity between modern and future interior space as well as current.

본 연구의 목적은 현대 빅데이터 시대에서 급격히 발전하고 있는 사회적 배경아래, 현대 디자인 문화가 내포된 건축사상을 바탕으로, 중국의 4개 현대 상업건축 사례에 대한 디자인 문화 표현 특징에 대해 분석을 진행하였다. 현대 상업건축 실내 공간의 문화성은 주로 다섯 가지 측면에서 나타난다. 전통, 지역, 대중, 기술, 생태, 이것을 복합적으로 통합하여, 상업건축의 지속가능성과 다양성을 촉진한다.

This study is concentrated on the specified relationship between the contemporary art and the interior design by investigation their situational connections through the expresison of their works. Each fields of modern art makes expressive situation more complicated and transforms its unintelligible and expressive outputs variously. The expression is the basis of the incompatibility of the modern art which features the ambivalence of the various tendency and the characteristics of the artists works as well as the disappearance of the typical genre of the art. The new expression such as the spatial recognition of the paintings and the participatio of the real, expreimental examples of the modern art enlarges its realm. The field interior design which has the close relationship with the fine arts need to make a new discussion or a theory among the progressive expression and the various tendencies of the art. Through this research, by reviewing the intermixed and expressed features of the artists works and designers projects which went far beyond the concepts and genre, the interrelationship between expression tendency of the contemporary art and the interior design has been specified.

Presents age is diversified in all genres by fast development of information and digital, and expression of fixing is not. Architecture and interior space design is showing new paradigm through dematerializing, ex-formal, nonlinear. Glass material is expressing by various technique in space and outer skin to introduction of digital media and a high-tech technology. Expressive characteristics and Techniques of this glass material are showing form of homogenized life in this age, simulated life. Therefore, this study does theoretical investigation through dematerializing of glass material, and analyzes works after 2000. Wish to understand stream of indoor design of present age after analyzes expression special quality and technique of glass material that reflect age and make a study of symbolic expression characteristic.
