The Study on the improvement of dental technician practical examination I (치과기공사 실기시험 개선에 관한 조사 연구 I)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the improvement measure of dental technician practical examination. Methods: A survey was performed on 111 dental technicians who were self-written questionnaire. The results were analyzed by SPSS 12.0. The collected data was analyzed by frequency and chi-square test. Results: Questions most necessary work tools with the articulator was the highest with 55.9%, Electric wax carver(16.2%), heating clear(14.4%), CAD/CAM program(9.0%) was in the order. The need for additional practical test in response to actions included maxillary and mandibular comments occlusal work that you have to wax up the highest rate of 63.8%. Items most in need of improvement was strengthen of clinically oriented(48.0%), separation of written and practical(14.6%), control the degree of difficulty(11.4%) were the next order. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the current dental technician did not show major problems in the practical test. However, clinicians should be strengthened mainly. To do this, the use of the articulator is essential.

Proposal of a new Emergency Medical Technician national practical examination (응급구조사 실기시험 개선 연구)

  • Purpose : This study was carried out from September 2011 to September 2012 to indicate improvement and performance schemes and planning strategies by way of scenario based practical examination to inspire adaptable capacity to EMS field for Emergency Medical Technician. Methods : In order to improve the examination, a survey was conducted to EMT-Paramedics (Level 1), EMT-Basics (Level 2), and other expert groups. The researchers visited the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) headquarter and the psychomotor examination site in Ohio in April, 2011. The 21 EMT professors took part in a workshop experiencing the US psychomotor examinations provided by two NREMT examination experts in October, 2011. Results : The results showed that the general plan of new National Practical Examination for EMTs should consist of integrated emergency care examination based on clinical performance and simple skill examination based on objective structured skill protocol Conclusion : The National Practice Examination consists of two sessions and the examinees select the test number randomly in each session. The future examination should include the critical criteria and this criteria should be the decisive factor for the pass or fail.

Assessing the Validity of the Preclinical Objective Structured Clinical Examination Using Messick's Validity Framework (Messick의 타당도 틀을 활용한 임상실습 전 실기시험의 타당도 평가)

  • Students must be familiar with clinical skills before starting clinical practice to ensure patients' safety and enable efficient learning. However, performance is mainly tested in the third or fourth years of medical school, and studies using the validity framework have not been reported in Korea. We analyzed the validity of a performance test conducted among second-year students classified into content, response process, internal structure, relationships with other variables, and consequences according to Messick's framework. As results of the analysis, content validity was secured by developing cases according to a pre-determined blueprint. The quality of the response process was controlled by training and calibrating raters. The internal structure showed that (1) reliability by generalizability theory was acceptable (coefficients of 0.724 and 0.786, respectively, for day 1 and day 2), and (2) the relevant domains had proper correlations, while the clinical performance examination (CPX) and objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) showed weaker relationships. OSCE/CPX scores were correlated with other variables, especially grade point average and oral structured exam scores. The consequences of this assessment were (1) making students learn clinical skills and study themselves, while causing too much stress for students due to lack of motivation; (2) reminding educators of the need to apply practical teaching methods and to give feedback on the test results; and (3) providing an opportunity for faculty to consider developing support programs. It is necessary to develop the blueprint more precisely according to students' level and to verify the validity of the response process with statistical methods.

Suggestions on the implementation plan for job-based dental technician practical exam (직무기반 치과기공사 실기시험 시행 방안에 대한 제언)

  • Purpose: This study aims to make suggestions for the implementation of the job-based dental technician practical exam. Methods: The duties of dental technicians and the recent trends in the dental technician field were defined and identified, respectively, to achieve the purpose of the current study. The practical test system of domestic and foreign national tests was comparatively analyzed to seek improvements. Additionally, the direction of the practical test to be taken in the future was investigated through a public hearing of domestic experts. Results: As a result of this study, the job site of dental technicians was recently found to be undergoing many changes, and it can be observed that related laws and the work site have already changed. Comparison of overseas test systems showed that Korea was limited to a rather small evaluation range; in general, the scope of the evaluation of the practical tests in foreign countries was widely conducted. In the results of the public hearing, opinions exist that the evaluation range of the practical test was expanded and that new subjects were needed, but the opinion on the existence of practical difficulties was mainly mentioned. Conclusion: The evaluation range of the current practical examination subjects should be expanded and the evaluation of digital dental engineering subjects should be added to proceed with the job-based practical examination. However, it seems that efforts should be made gradually through various efforts in the future due to practical difficulties.

Survey research to implement a job-based national practical exam for dental technicians (치과기공사의 직무기반 국가 실기시험 실행을 위한 조사 연구)

  • Purpose: This study proposes measures needed to implement a job-based national practical exam for dental technicians. Methods: For this study, a survey was conducted targeting 244 currently employed individuals. The current national practical test for dental technicians was divided into directions for the job-based practical test, subjects that need improvement among the current practical test subjects, items that need to be reflected in the practical test evaluation for each subject, and subjects that need to be added to the practical test. It comprised ten questions (Cronbach's α=0.801). Results: The following results were obtained. Satisfaction with the current practical test was lower than average. Future improvement should focus on job-based evaluation. The dental ceramic lab technology subject needs to be reorganized urgently, and the tasks that require evaluation for each subject are different. Moreover, if evaluation subjects are added in the future, the introduction of assessment for dental CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) subjects was found to be the most urgent. Conclusion: In this study, the most necessary tasks of the current national practical examination for dental technicians were evaluated and the content needed for future reorganization was investigated. Future tests should be expanded to evaluate critical job areas. Furthermore, it is necessary to open new courses in fields such as CAD/CAM, as they are in high demand in the workplace.

Propeller Performance Analysis for Human Powered Aircraft (인간동력 항공기용 프로펠러 성능해석)

  • Propeller is an important component of Human Powered Aircraft (HPA) propulsion system. HPA uses large diameter low rotational speed propeller to get high propeller efficiency. The propeller was designed by HPA propeller designing program. The propeller pitch is adjustable by rotating the blade axis angle at ground. Performance of the propeller for various parameters are analysed by the same program used for design. Off-design condition performance was also checked including pilot power change and flight speed change. The propeller was manufactured in ultra-light structure using carbon composite material down to 950g. The propeller was ground tested on ironbird and installed on KARI HPA. Finally the HPA flew 291m with this propeller.

  • Thrust vector characteristics of jet vanes installed in a shroud are very unique and much more complicated than those of the jet vane acting without any shroud by the fact of additional physical phenomena. The fluid dynamic interferences induced by jet vanes and shroud as well as jet vane's aerodynamic performance are investigated to characterize thrust vector control by semi-empirical model, three dimensional numerical analysis including real complex geometry, and ground firing test of real motors.

  • 본 논문에서는 기능장 등급의 자격검정시 산업현장의 직무수행 능력을 평가하기 적합한 검정방법을 마련하는데 목적으로 대표적인 4개 종목을 선정하여 기능장 검정방법들로 모의평가하여 검정방법 개선 방안을 제시하였다. 그 결과 2차 실기시험방법과 3차 면접으로 하는 1안을 단일안으로 선정하였고, 이에 따른 영향성을 분석하여 그 결과를 제시하였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 면접을 추가하여 3차 면접의 단일안의 결과를 얻었지만 사회적인 기능장의 사회적 법적 위상 제고는 반듯이 고려해야 할 것이다.

  • 저에너지 중성자가 가톨리늄(Gd) 막에 입사되면 중성자 포획과정에서 전환전자가 생성된다. 이 전환전자에 의해 pMOSFET $SiO_2$ 산화층에서 발생된 전자-전공쌍이 발생되고, 이 가운데 정공은 산화층 내부에 쉽게 붙잡혀(Trap) 양전하 센터로 작용하게 된다. 이 축적된 전하는 pMOSFET의 문턱전압(Threshold voltage)을 변화시킨다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 간접측정 원리를 이용하여 열중성자를 실기간 탐지할 수 있는 반도체형 탐지소자를 개발하고 하나로(HANARO) 방사선장에서의 시험을 통해 성능을 검증하였다. 그리고 감도관련 변수의 최적화를 통하여 작업자가 사용 가능한 범위의 고감도 열중성자 선량계로 개선 제작하였다. 개발된 선량계는 소형으로 실시간 열중성자 측정이 가능하며 감마방사선으로부터 독립적으로 열중성자를 측정할 수 있는 장점도 지니고 있다.

  • 교원의 핵심 역량 중 지식 역량이나 수행 역량 등은 교직과정 이수 결과의 확인이나 지필 시험 또는 실기 시연 등을 통해 확인 또는 평가할 수 있다. 그러나 태도 역량이나 전문성 개발역량의 일부 요소들은 별도의 도구나 평가로 심사해야 된다. 전문성 개발 역량 가운데 자기반성 노력, 지속적 학습 노력, 교육 공동체 간 의사소통 및 협력 등의 요소들은 기존의 평가 방식으로 파악하기 어렵다. 따라서 교원의 핵심 역량을 평가하기 위해서는 교직 적성 및 인성 검사와 같은 별도의 도구가 필요하다. 본 논문은 교원자격을 강화하기 위한 교직 적성 및 인성 검사를 효율적으로 실시하기 위한 온라인 웹 검정 시스템을 설계하고자 한다.
