Effect of Security Manager's Servant Leadership on the Cohesion and Organization Outcome (시큐리티 관리자의 서번트 리더십이 응집력 및 조직성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the impact on cohesiveness and organizational performance of the servant leadership of the security manager. The subjects of study selected final 287 persons by using the systematic random sampling for security companies in Seoul in 2009. However, the number of cases used in the final analysis is 256 persons. Reliability of the questionnaire used in this study showed that the value of Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was above 0.796. The collected data used the methods such as factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis etc. by using SPSSWIN 17.0. The conclusions are as follows. First, servant leadership has a positive impact on cohesiveness. Second, one of the factors of servant leadership, trust, has a positive impact on organizational performance. Third, individual, social cohesiveness and group cohesiveness among the factors of cohesiveness have a positive impact on organizational performance. Fourth, with the results of path analysis, servant leadership has direct impact on organizational effectiveness and indirect impact through cohesiveness. In other words, a servant leadership among the leaderships that a security worker is conscious of administrator affects cohesiveness and organizational performance in management to promote the management of the organization.

  • In this paper we propose and realize the large scale multimedia security system that one janitor control many rooms in many building on multimedia. We Study the system that one watch janitor lots of rooms and lots of buildings the same time, and store the trespasser's moving cource in Database for understanding his action pattern using computer vision technology, but the relational system cannot solve the problem that the trespasser disjoint the security system on sensing method and the system watch only one room or one building.

A Study on Women's Casino Security Employees (여성 카지노 시큐리티 종사원에 관한 연구)

  • In casinos, security personnel who manage the safety of customers and employees play a very important role. In particular, there is a high percentage of female employees in casinos, and because the ratio of female and male employees is similar, the probability of female customers or female employees experiencing accidents may be similar to or higher than that of males. Women's security agents who handle women's case accidents can provide female customers and employees with a security service that only women can do. However, most of the agents doing security work at casinos are male, and the proportion of women is very low. Therefore, this research is about employees who are currently working as women in casinos and conducted qualitative research to find out about various experiences they experienced while working in the casino. A total of five study participants were interviewed three times to analyze and categorize the data collected. The first question is the professor's recommendation, his personal information search and his acquaintance's recommendation. The second question, the factors behind the necessary skills at work, are various athletic skills, good physical conditions and foreign language skills. In the third question, the satisfaction factors of the task are the scarcity value of the work, the satisfaction of the pay, the suitability of the individual and the expectation of the future, and the unsatisfactory factors of the work are the risk of the work, the stress on the customer, the discrimination against the sex, the gaze around, the tiredness of the shift work. In the fourth question, factors on the need for female casino security agents are providing differentiated services to female customers, protecting female employees and providing opportunities for women in related majors. The results of this study were interviewed by an expert of more than 20 years in the casino security business, and female casino security agents said that since it is a necessary requirement, they should seek a direction for development through institutional and cognitive improvement.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore how security science graduates in casinos are socialized into the workplace. Participants for this study were seven security guards who work for two of three casinos for foreign customers in the city of Seoul. All the participants majored in the security science in colleges. They had 1 to 5 years of work experience. Their main job responsibilities were deterrent to crimes and watch for impending danger in the casinos. A variety of qualitative data collection techniques for this study included formal and informal interviews, stimulated-recall interview, observations, and field notes. Analytic induction and constant comparison were utilized to analyze data. Triangulating and member checks were employed to enhance trustworthiness. The findings of this study were as follow: Firstly, In acculturation, sports experience and media attraction were revealed as factors. Secondly, In professional socialization, college education and senior students in the program were found. Lastly, organizational socialization, Difficulty of relationship, lack of risk management training, lack of team cohesion, pride himself as a security guard, and unclear evaluation system. In conclusion, a variety of influential factors appeared through his occupational socialization even though there were negative and positive factors.

Development of Freelance System for Private Security Work (민간경비업무 프리랜서제도 발전방안)

  • The private security industry in Korea has developed considerably with the development of economic growth and IT technology. The purpose of this study is to explore the development method of the freelance system for private security work based on the problems of the freelance system that CEO of the security company in the private security work field recognize. To accomplish the purpose of this study, we interviewed 3 professors and 6 CEO of the security company to analyze the data. They suggested the development of the freelance system of private security work as follows. First, the systematic management of freelance security guards is needed. Secondly, the training for the manager of the freelance security guards should be done. Third, a minimum wage compliance check is required. Fourth, the contents of freelance system should be added to the reality in accordance with the security law. Fifth, the social security system of freelance security guards should be improved. Sixth, the establishment of a freelance security guard cooperative is necessary.

  • Authentication and access control are essential requirements for the information security of distributed environment. Delegation is process whereby an initiator principal in a distributed environment authorizes another principal to carry out some functions on behalf of the former. Delegation of access rights also increases the availability of services offer safety in distributed environments. A delegation easily provides principal to grant privileges in the single domain with Role-Based Access Control(RBAC). But in the multi-domain, initiators who request delegation may require to limit the access right of their delegates with restrictions that are called delegate restriction to protect the abuse of privilege. In this paper, we propose the delegation view as function of delegation restrictions. Proposed delegation view model not only prevent over-exposure of documents from granting multiple step delegation to document sharing in multi-domain with RBAC infrastructure but also reduce overload of security administrator and communication.

A Study on the Effectual Operating Device for Private Security Service (민간경호업무의 효율적인 운영방안에 관한 연구)

  • The suggestions that follow are about the effectual operating device for private security service. First, in legal and institutional policy, new establishment by law for private security and more support from government is asked. Moreover, the restructuring or M&A between petty companies and the pricing for security service should be performed. Second, in the structural aspect of private security industry, the professional education center for private security guards should be established and the terms of payment and welfare should be improved to the level above standard. In addition, it should be achieved to change the public to have a new and correct understanding of private security and develop the specialized parts suited to the characteristic and ability of each companies. Third, the construction of operating system for private security service should be achieved; recruit system for competent security guards, marketing strategy and enforcement system, widely known confidence to client, normal training system for security guards and post management system for client. This is also to be suited to the characteristic of each companies.

  • This study surveyed the subject of companies' industrial security on priorities of the government policy for the confidentiality of corporate and the necessity of expanding the government support for the industrial security. In determining the priority, we should consider all opinions of companies, individuals, societies, and governments that associated with the confidentiality. Especially in industrial security, companies are the most significant beneficiaries and consumers of security policy and it would be the basis for supporting on policy-making. As a result, we analyzed the 50 valid questionnaires collected from security personnel of Korean corporations and 'Enhance support for education and promotion of human resource (On/Off-Line)', 'Establish Security management and Security measures', and 'Enhance Security professionals status via qualifications/certifications' are shown as 1st, 2nd, 3rd priority of government policy to protect Corporate confidential information including its customer information. All respondents of the study says that the Government support for Industrial Security should be enlarged.

A Study on Development of National Examination Security Service (국가시험 보안업무의 발전적 방안연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the development of the examination security business plan based on the problem that guards are now aware of examination security service. To achieve the purpose of this study, the interview was conducted by interviewing interviews with five field related graduates and seven field specialists who are currently engaged in the examination for more than six years. The guard who perform national examination security service proposed a development plan of national examination security services as follows. First, the security guards at the national examination must complete an education program suitable for the nature of the workplace. Second, disaster and emergency response training should be added. Third, national examination security guards should be provided with mental training, search equipment and advanced equipment. Fourth, The National Examination Security Service should be specified in the Security Law so that laws and regulations can actively respond. Fifth, the related organization (contracting party) must raise the cost of service according to reality after realizing the property. Sixth, The national security service should ensure that security guards who have completed the security guards' training will be recruited.

  • Recently the demand for civil bodyguards and security guards shows rapid growth with social development that lead the social structure environment. In recent years, the security industry and market seems to be increasingly affected by new social environment changes. In addition to that, efficient management for the private security needs to many security managers. So, the management for the private security is a matter of primary concern to all security managers. The purpose of this research is to apply efficient management for the private security and how security managers leadership type effects on working attitude for guards. Then, this study is composed of the introduction in the first chapter, theological consideration of leadership and working attitude in the second chapter, research application in the third chapter and finally the conclusion in the fourth chapter. For the security managers, the organization can be altered its efficiency by organizing groups applying what kind of leadership to how it wed. Considering to its characteristic of security organization, the leadership is not only important factor effecting on outcome of organization but also core activity achieving the goal of organization to private security managers.
