Anthropometric Studies on the Analysis of Women's Beautiful Face (20대 여성의 미인형 분석을 위한 계측학적 연구)

  • The beauty itself cannot be changed by the time, but the concept of the beauty can be influence by the time and cultural background. The purpose of this study is to analyze the beautiful faces or ugly faces among the young women and to provide useful guideline to make up for the modem concept of beauty. The facial photographs of 180 adlut women(aged between 20 and 29) in Pusan and Ulsan area were sampled to be measured and classified as the beautiful or ordinary or ugly faces. Data were analyzed by Frequencies, Mean, Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The major results were as followings; the Beautiful face has a relatively small face with a broad forehead and a small lower face. It also has a wide palpebral fissure, narrow intercanthal distance, a narrow nose and a big mouth. Physiognomic face length was 182.38mm, the upper face length was 59.82mm, the middle face length 60.82mm, the lower face length 61.76mm, and the index of face length to face breadth was 1.35. And also the faces within the figures are considered as the beautiful or ordinary or ugly faces from those measurements like face length/bizygion breadth, intercanthal distance, mouth width, upper vermilion height, lower vermilion height.

  • 본 논문에서는 종형 구조물의 특미인 비대칭성을 고헌할 수 있고 굽힘에너지 (flexural energy)와 확장에너지(extension energy)를 모두 고헌하여 유한요소의 분할 이 용역한 사변형과 삼각형 판-셸 유한요소를 사용하였다.

  • This study aims to develop a proper face design for traditional fashion doll so that the Korean traditional doll can achieve its stand in the modern collection with the new face design based on researching documents, analyzing the examples and delivering a customer survey. The majority of dolls in traditional costume has an innocent look with inverted triangle shape face. But the inverted triangle or oval shape as well as the refined look of well balanced facial features are preferred. An oval face, elongated eyes with no double eyelid or inner double eyelid, plump lips and round and high nose are considered beautiful in the traditional figure. Based on this result, a new design is configured with an inverted triangular face with slightly plump cheeks, eyes with reduced eye, pupil and double eyelid, round nose without tuning up and small and full lower lip.

  • 자판기를 단기적인 홍보 마케팅에 활용하는 사례들이 늘고 있다. 과거에는 사람이 자판기 안에 들어가 상품을 내주는 '인간자판기' 식의 활용이 붐을 이루었었다. 주로 미인이 자판기 안에 들어가 브랜드가 감성적으로 어필하는 효과를 안겨 주었다. 그러나 이런 홍보 마케팅은 여러 곳에서 되풀이함으로 인해 참신성이 떨어져 최근에는 시큰둥해졌다. '보다 기발하고 자극적인 방법이 무엇일까?' 다음으로 등장하게 된 게 자판기의 의외성을 부각시키는 컨셉이다. 고객이 예상했던 뻔한 내용상품이 아니라 놀랄만한 상품과 서비스, 재미를 제공한다. 일례로 코카콜라의 홍보 마케팅에서는 꽃다발을 내주기도 하고, 막걸리 업체 배다리의 전시회 홍보 마케팅에서는 투출구에서 사람 손이 나와 막걸리를 따라주기도 하고 선물도 건넨다. 최근 매일유업에서 '우유속에'라는 유제품 출시를 기념하여 펼쳐진 '해피 프레젠트 (Happy Present) 캠페인'도 이 범주에 속한다. 말 그대로 자판기가 다양한 선물을 하는 컨셉이다. 기존 유사 홍보마케팅과 차별성이 있다면 고객이 미션을 수행해야 선물이 주어지는 참여형 프로그램이라는 점이다. 의외성에 대한 기대와 재미를 결합한 절묘한 홍보 마케팅이다. 저렴한 비용에 효과는 만점인 자판기 홍보 마케팅의 장점을 여실히 느끼게 한다. '우유속에' 자판기 홍보 마케팅에는 어떠한 기발함이 숨어있을까?

Developing a New Algorithm for Conversational Agent to Detect Recognition Error and Neologism Meaning: Utilizing Korean Syllable-based Word Similarity (대화형 에이전트 인식오류 및 신조어 탐지를 위한 알고리즘 개발: 한글 음절 분리 기반의 단어 유사도 활용)

  • The conversational agents such as AI speakers utilize voice conversation for human-computer interaction. Voice recognition errors often occur in conversational situations. Recognition errors in user utterance records can be categorized into two types. The first type is misrecognition errors, where the agent fails to recognize the user's speech entirely. The second type is misinterpretation errors, where the user's speech is recognized and services are provided, but the interpretation differs from the user's intention. Among these, misinterpretation errors require separate error detection as they are recorded as successful service interactions. In this study, various text separation methods were applied to detect misinterpretation. For each of these text separation methods, the similarity of consecutive speech pairs using word embedding and document embedding techniques, which convert words and documents into vectors. This approach goes beyond simple word-based similarity calculation to explore a new method for detecting misinterpretation errors. The research method involved utilizing real user utterance records to train and develop a detection model by applying patterns of misinterpretation error causes. The results revealed that the most significant analysis result was obtained through initial consonant extraction for detecting misinterpretation errors caused by the use of unregistered neologisms. Through comparison with other separation methods, different error types could be observed. This study has two main implications. First, for misinterpretation errors that are difficult to detect due to lack of recognition, the study proposed diverse text separation methods and found a novel method that improved performance remarkably. Second, if this is applied to conversational agents or voice recognition services requiring neologism detection, patterns of errors occurring from the voice recognition stage can be specified. The study proposed and verified that even if not categorized as errors, services can be provided according to user-desired results.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a concrete image of the ideal beauty as shown in era preceding 1945 that effects the shaping of our aesthetic values; by analyzing its characteristics through the covers of women's magazines of that period, this research aims to promote the understanding of beauty of the human body. The scope of my research extends throughout the collection of women's magazines stored in the National Library and the Korea Magazine Information Center. The gathered research materials are: 5 kinds of Shin-Yeo-Sung (신여성), 51 kinds Yeo-Sung(여성) and 30 kinds of Ga-Jung-Ji-Woo(가정지우). The result of the research could be summarized as the followings. Before the 1920's in response to the violent opening, there was a trend of sticking to the traditional standard. In the 1920's, the prevalent images of women were meek and fragile. Japanese standard of beauty was explicitly indicated. In the 1930s, as Western movies started to be shown to the general public, western features were idealized and furthermore intelligence was required as a further condition. In the 1940s, preparation of the war led to encouragement of images of motherhood and natural beauty, and resistant to this trend led to pseudoclassicism.

'Hyowon6', a Mid-Late Maturing Rice Variety with High Quality (고품질 중만생 벼 품종 '효원6호')

  • Hyowon6, a mid-late maturing, good eating quality rice variety with multi-resistance, was developed by the rice breeding team of Pusan National University in 2013. This variety was derived from a cross between Hwayeong (as a multi-resistant parent) and Koshihikari (as a good eating quality parent). Selection by the pedigree breeding method was carried out until the $F_8$ generation. A promising line, JS14-12-36-8-5-3-1-1-1, was developed and designated as HY103 in 2013. This variety headed on August 22, which was 11 days later than that of Hwayeong. The culm length and panicle length of Hyowon6 was 85.7 cm and 21.1 cm, respectively. The number of panicles per hill was 14.5 and the number of grains per panicle was 101.7. The ratio of ripened grain was approximately 92% and the 1,000-grain weight was approximately 21.36 g for brown rice, which were similar to those of Hwayeong. Hyowon6 was moderately resistant to lodging and also to neck blast, leaf blight, and stripe virus. The glossiness value of Hyowon6 was 83, which was considerably higher than that of Hwayeong.
