This study deals with the expressive characteristics of Installation Art and their applicability to environmental design, and as such, aims to specify a artistic methods from the contemporary art. What Installation Art is search of in their works is "the state of relationships" which is "to replace the concept of form with that of structure, and the concept of space with that of the environment" that is, the terms of relations in the overall environment of time and space. Installation Art essentially relies on a multiplicity of forms and attitudes leading to projects which positively make use of "spatial-temporal process" to reaffirm and "problematise" their open-endedness manifest in complex contextuality and shifting temporality. This study presents a new interpretation of spatial-temporal dimension, site-specificity, and intermedia art that we find in Installation Art and tries to combine that new artistic insight a with environmental design to provide a basis for integrated art. This study places a great emphasis on the interdisciplinary approaches to the environment we inhabit, which I hope will contribute to generating a greater number of creative possibilities for environmental design.

As the world becomes more globalized thanks to the fast development of the Internet, a national identity becomes more important than ever before. Based on this, the study searches for the identity of modern American architecture through exploring the influence of modem American fine arts on the contemporary architecture. It was found that the concepts and the attributes of modern American fine arts obviously transferred into the contemporary architecture. The main concept was elimination of any kind of illusion for maximization of reality, and it was rooted Into American culture, the way of life and thinking. With the concept, the attributes were divided into two extreme poles: materiality and morphology: the former was evolved from Abstract Expressionism and Post-Minimalism and transferred into Los Angeles Avant-Garde architecture; the latter was from Pop Art and transferred into Postmodern architecture and Pop Architecture.

이 연구는 초현실주의를 중심으로 현대미술에서 Depaysement 기법을 채택한 작품의 조형언어를 분석하고, 이 방법이 갖는 화면이미지 구성의 결합방식에 관점을 두었다. 초현실주의 이후 현대미술에 이르는 작품을 대상으로 확장된Depaysement의 표현기법을 일곱 개의 방법으로 나누어 분석하였다. 따라서 Depaysement 표현 방법을 이용하여 내적, 정신적인 것을 형상화하는 창작이 방법론이 제시됨을 알 수 있다. 앞으로도 이러한 Depaysement 방법론의 표현 분석을 통해 조형예술의 아이디어 전개에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 생각된다.

The purpose of this study is to provide a practical guide for selecting architectural artwork and analyze relationship between artwork and interior space & facade. The problems with many outdoor artwork did not make the characteristics of the specific environment and did not form a big flow in the urban contextualism. Choosing the artwork, architectural environment for artwork is very much part of the designers' task. When artwork is to be specifically acquired for a particular projects, designer and client must work together to make choices and plan placement. The data are collected through evaluation surveys of college students and graduate students majoring in interior architecture & design, and analyzed by using SPSS-WIN program to find the major characterized factors. It is concluded that architectural artwork should be constituted with nine major factors of interior space - theme/scale, situation/contemporay accord, finished materials harmony, line/two-three dimensional form, proportion/rhythm, sequence, natural/artificial form, abstract/reality expression, originality - and eight major factors of facade - situation, abstract/reality expression, finished materials harmony, theme/sequence, natural/artificial form, proportion/rhythm, static/dynamic expression, originality/. contemporay accord.

본 연구의 목적은 미술교육이 학생들의 창의력과 심리적인 부분에도 영향을 준다는 선행 연구를 토대로 국내외 공립학교의 미술교육환경을 조사하여 제안하고자 한다. 또한 교실의 안정성을 위하여 디자인방법 측면에서 무엇이 필요한지 살펴보아 공교육의 프로그램과 교육환경의 질을 높일 수 있도록 체크리스트를 제안하여 객관적 평가 기준을 제시 하는 것이다. 연구방법으로는 먼저, 미술교육의 중요성에 관하여 문헌 고찰을 하고 이를 수렴하여 적합한 교실환경 조성을 위한 요건들을 살펴본다. 둘째, 초등학교 미술교육환경의 사용성과 안전성에 대해 분석하고 평가하기 위한 체크리스트를 작성한다. 셋째, 국내외 공립 초등학교 미술교육환경에 관한 사례조사를 바탕으로 객관적인 평가를 위한 체크리스트를 제안한다. 그리하여 미술교육을 잘 지지해 주기 위한 교육환경을 마련해주는 지침서로 본 연구가 활용되길 바란다.

1903년에 설립된 오스트리아 빈공방은 총체개념을 가진 호프만(Josef Hoffman)을 중심으로 1910년경부터 직물파트를 설립하여 왕성한 활동을 하였다. 빈공방 직물디자인을 3단계로 나누어 그 조형성과 영향관계를 살펴보면 1기는 1903년부터 1910년까지로 핵심인물인 모저와 호프만은 세세션과 맥킨토시의 기하차적인 성향과 일본미술의 양식과 모티브에 영향을 받아 자연형태를 기하학적으로 양식화하여 간결한 문양디자인을 하였다. (중략)

복식이란 인간의 내면적 욕구를 외적인 미로 표현하는 방법으로써 인간이 노출된 시대적 상황에 대한 반응 수단이자 한 시대 예술의 구성인자로 지각되며 경험되는 매체의 하나라고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 의복이란 회화, 미술, 공예 등의 조형예술과 사회적, 정치적, 경제적, 문화적 배경아래에서 탄생되며 상호 관련된다고 설명할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은20세기 대표적인 화가 피카소의 작품을 CAD시스템을 활용한 후 현대의상에 접목시켜, 개성 있는 디자인 창출의 모티브로서의 가능성을 제시함에 목적이 있다.(중략)

본 연구는 메이크업의 창의적 표현 영역으로서 주목받고 있는 아트 마스크에 네오 팝 아트를 접목하여 새로운 디자인 방향을 제안하는데 있다. 이론적 고찰을 통해 네오 팝의 특성을 분석한 후, 일본의 팝 아티스트인 무라카미 다카시의 작품을 모티브로 각 특성에 따라 총 4작품의 아트 마스크를 제작하였다. 연구 결과로는 첫째, 네오팝은 아트 마스크의 소재로 활용하기에 충분했다. 둘째, 네오 팝의 특성을 적용한 아트 마스크의 새로운 디자인을 제안할 수 있었다. 셋째, 미술과 메이크업의 융합을 통해 다양한 분야 간의 융합 가능성을 알 수 있었다. 향후 다양한 분야와의 융합을 통한 아트 마스크의 연구가 활발히 이루어지기를 바라며 본 연구가 아트 마스크 디자인 개발의 기초자료로 활용되기를 바란다.

한가지 문제를 분야별로 따로 연구하는 것은 보이지 않는 목적을 계속 추구해야 한다는 점에서 메아리를 쫓는 것과 같다고 말할 수 있을 것 같다. 그런데 조명과 색채에 관한 연구는 물리, 화학, 생리, 심리, 그리고 미술, 디자인이라는 특수하게 분화된 분야가 서로 연결되는 접합점에 있다.

아이디어를 개발하고 창의적으로 문제를 해결하는 디자인적 자질은 초등학교의 일반교과과정에서부터 개발되는 것이 바람직하다. 개념적 사고와 인지능력을 발달시키는 초등학교 디자인 교육은 '디자인을 위한 교육(education for design)'이 아니라, '디자인에 의한 교육(education by design)'의 성격을 가진다. 이것은 디자인의 기본 개념을 학생들이 자연스럽게 이해하고 그 행위과정을 경험할 수 있도록 도와주는 개념이다. 따라서 초등학교 디자인 교육계에서는 디자인 관련 행위(Design-related activities), 또는 디자인을 기초로 한 교육(Design-Based Education)이라는 용어를 사용하고 있다. 이러한 개념에서의 디자인 교육은 미술 뿐 아니라 수학, 기초 과학, 음악, 역사 등 다양한 주제 내용에 응용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 초등학교 디자인 교과과정을 구성하기 위한 틀로서 '내용 영역'과 '행동 유형'을 살펴본다. 이것은 미적.상징적, 실용적.기능적, 과학적.공학적 영역 등과, '알다', '인지하다', '탐구하다' 등의 행동 유형으로 고찰되며, 이를 바탕으로 하여 국내 초등학교 디자인 교육의 현황을 교과서와 설문조사를 통해 분석한다. 이에 대한 발견점은 문제해결과 관련된 과학적.공학적 영역의 내용과 탐구 행동 관련 내용이 상대적으로 적으며, 창의적 표현의 기회와 수용에 대한 수업계획 및 교육방법에 문제점 등이 제기되었다. 초등학교 디자인 교육은 미술교육의 한 부분을 넘어 다양한 영역과 행동들을 포괄하는 협동적 개념의 교육으로 구성되어야 한다.
