UBAF(User Behavior Analysis Framework) for u-Home Network (유비쿼터스 홈네트워크를 위한 사용자 행위 분석 프레임워크)

  • User needs in residential environment have very complicated and variety connection with others. u-home system for the near future is need to be combined acceptance of exist user needs as well as needs on new technology relating with u-Home. The study proposes a User Behavior Analysis Framework - UBAF for applying the user needs to the system more efficiently and developing the system by classifying patterns for the needs based on date of user behavior analysis. UBAF is a developing framework getting the basic idea of combining system modeling methods on SE and user modeling methods considering on HCI. It will be applicable to develop the system with core user behaviors by applying a standard way on u-Home. For example, the study transforms information into knowledge the system modeling and user modeling with analyzing a scenario for indoor temperature controlling on u-Home.

A Discourse Analysis of Middle School Students in Mathematical Modeling Teaching and Learning (수학적 모델링 교수·학습에서 중학생들의 담화 분석)

  • This research is an analysis of communication that occurs during the quadratic function teaching and learning process of middle school students, which reflects mathematical modeling. For an in-depth analysis of the communication, Sfard(2008)'s discourse theory and language analysis framework were applied. A quadratic function mathematical modeling teaching and learning were conducted for the week second (1 hour) in June 2019 for students who studied the concept of a quadratic function and who passed a specified period (3 months). The results are as follows. First, The commo-gnitive conflict occurred because of differences in prior knowledge other than quadratic function among students. Second, in the course of communication, knowledge was expanded through problem-solving from different perspectives. These results can be interpreted as allowing students to clearly reveal problems in the communication process based on their understanding of the concept of quadratic functions and to facilitate cooperation among students. of the concept of quadratic functions and to facilitate cooperation among students.

  • ITS (Intelligent Transport System) has been developed into the full service leading to a new life style with the various services from private sector, which was intended to prevent the traffic accidents and to reduce the traffic jams. Since traveler-type components used in ITS services are not exclusively designed. but they can be one of the existing devices such as mobile phone, PDA, PC, KIOSK and etc. We need to consider that these devices are equipped to support ITS related services. Therefore, this study modeled, through UML, a framework of portable components based on the present national ITS architecture; the purpose being that private companies may be able to develop portable components with concepts of ITS services. The methodology of the modeling process we followed consisted of four steps: (1) analyzing service-related subsystems, (2) generalizing equipment-package and functional specifications. (3) describing information and function specific reference models, and (4) UML modeling of the reference model.

Analysis of the Utilization of Mobile Applications by Generation Z using Topic Modeling :Focusing on Users' Essay Data (토픽모델링을 활용한 Z세대의 애플리케이션 효용성에 대한 분석: 이용자의 에세이 데이터를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic information necessary for the establishment of mobile service marketing strategies, educational service development, and engineering education for Generation Z by analyzing the utilitization of various applications by Gen Z. To this end, 177 essays on mobile service usage experience were collected, major topics were analyzed using topic modeling, and these were visualized through word cloud analysis. As a result of the study, the main topics were related to 'transportation' such as movement and public transportation, 'personal management' such as schedule management, financial management, food management, 'transaction' such as checkout, meeting, purchase, 'leisure' such as eating out, travel, study, culture. Additionally, words such as time, thought, people, life, bus, information, confirmation, payment, KakaoTalk, and so on were found to have a high of frequency of use. Also, there was found to be a difference between topics by college. This study is meaningful in that it collected essays, which are unstructured data, and analyzed them through topic modeling.

A Study on Educational Data Mining for Public Data Portal through Topic Modeling Method with Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA기반 토픽모델링을 활용한 공공데이터 기반의 교육용 데이터마이닝 연구)

  • This study aims to search for education-related datasets provided by public data portals and examine what data types are constructed through classification using topic modeling methods. Regarding the data of the public data portal, 3,072 cases of file data in the education field were collected based on the classification system. Text mining analysis was performed using the LDA-based topic modeling method with stopword processing and data pre-processing for each dataset. Program information and student-supporting notifications were usually provided in the pre-classified dataset for education from the data portal. On the other hand, the characteristics of educational programs and supporting information for the disabled, parents, the elderly, and children through the perspective of lifelong education were generally indicated in the dataset collected by searching for education. The results of data analysis through this study show that providing sufficient educational information through the public data portal would be better to help the students' data science-based decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • In this paper, a research trend of attack graph studies for Cyber-Physical System (CPS) environments is surveyed, and we analyse the limitations of previous works and prospect the future directions. 35 among around 150 attack graph studies conducted within 5 years target CPS, and we inspect key features of CPS environment in the security aspect. Also, we categorize and analyze target studies in the aspect of modelling physical systems and considering air gaps, which are derived as key features of the security aspects of CPS. Half of 20 research that we surveyed do not reflect those two features, and other studies only consider one of the two features. In this circumstance, we examine challenges that attack graph studies on CPS environment face. Finally, we expect state-led studies or studies targeting open-spec commercial CPS will dominate.

  • The inherent complexity of semiconductor fabrication processes makes it hard to solve well-known job scheduling problems in analytical ways, which leads us to rely practically on discrete event modeling simulations to learn the effects of changing the system's parameters. Meanwhile, unpredictable disturbances such as machine failures and maintenance diminish the productivity of semiconductor manufacturing processes with fixed scheduling policies; thus, it is necessary to adapt job scheduling policy in a timely manner in reaction to critical environmental changes (disturbances) in order for the fabrication process to perform optimally. This paper proposes an adaptive job control framework for a wafer fabrication process in a control system theoretical approach and implements it based on a DEVS modeling simulation environment. The proposed framework has the advantages in view of the whole systems understanding and flexibility of applying new rules compared to most ad-hoc software approaches in this field. Furthermore, it is flexible enough to incorporate new job scheduling rules into the existing rule set. Experimental results show that this control framework with adaptive rescheduling outperforms fixed job scheduling algorithms.

A Study on the Categorizes of School Bullying through Topic Modelling Method (토픽모델링 기반의 학교폭력 사례 유형 연구)

  • As part of an effort to derive measures to prevent school violence, which is continuously emphasized in the school field, this study tried to examine the topic that has recently become an issue related to school violence from the perspective of data science. In particular, it was attempted to crawl posts related to school violence using online SNS data and examine the characteristics of each type by using the topic modeling method. As a result of arranging the keywords for each topic derived from the topic modeling analysis by type, it was possible to divide the contents into three main categories: prevention of school violence, punishment of perpetrators, and measures to be taken. First, as the contents of school violence prevention activities, it is the contents of the role of specialized organizations for the prevention of school violence. Second, it was derived from the contents of measures and procedures for school violence. Third, it was possible to examine the contents of recent issues of school violence. In future research, it is necessary to conduct research that is used to solve the social problems facing based on data-based prediction.

An Investigation into the Secondary Science Teachers' Perception on Scientific Models and Modeling (과학적 모델과 모델링에 대한 중등 과학 교사의 인식 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to probe secondary science teachers' perception on scientific models and modeling. A total of 50 experienced science teachers were surveyed with 10 open-ended questions about several aspects of models and modeling: definition, examples, purpose, multiplicity, changeability, design/construction, evaluation and beliefs in the use of models and modeling as a teaching tool. The analysis of the data shows the following results: 1) understanding of models and modeling held by a majority of experienced secondary science teachers was far from that of experts as they concentrated on a model's superficial, representative, and visual functions, 2) when it comes to their view toward the use of a model, a model does not remain in the stage of 'doing science' but in the stage of being a subsidiary teaching tool for the teacher's explaining and the students' understanding of scientific concepts, 3) the subjects they majored in made meaningful differences in their contextual understanding of models and modeling, 4) though most of the teachers acknowledged the importance of teaching about models and modeling, even a lot of them showed a negative position toward the opinion that they are willing to apply modeling to their classes. Implications of the results were discussed in terms of intervention in order to enhance secondary science teachers' understanding and pedagogical content knowledge of models and modeling.

Exploring Progression Levels for Science Metamodeling Knowledge of the Science Gifted (과학영재 학생들의 과학 메타모델링 지식 발달 단계 탐구)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the progression levels of science metamodeling knowledge through using questionnaires for 97 students of the gifted in G science academy. As a result of the Rasch model analysis, it was confirmed that the progression levels of the scientific metamodeling knowledge is suitable for the person reliability of 0.71 and the item reliability of 0.96. The progression levels of students' science metamodeling knowledge were classified into 4 stages. First and second levels were considered model to be objective and the third and fourth stages were perceived as subjective. The first level is to view the model as a visual representation of a phenomenon as it is, and the second level is to think that the model corresponds to objective knowledge or theory and is a tool for explanation. The Third level looks at the model as a scientist's exploration tool and fourth level is to think that the model is provisional one and multiple models can coexist in one phenomenon. The progression levels of science metamodeling knowledge of science high school students derived from this study is expected to be used as a reference when constructing a curriculum for science modeling and modeling for gifted students.
