For University students, reading is one of the important way of character education and career education that can give students the power to recognize and adapt to changes in society. The university supports the reading activities of university students in various ways, such as opening liberal arts courses related to reading or setting up required credits. In addition, it supports activities such as selecting the recommended book list for university students and providing the list. The purpose of this study is to analyze the problems of the current university's recommended book list and methods of using reading, and to propose improvement plans. To this end, using D University as an example, the current status of the recommended book list and reading discussion program were identified, and problems were investigated. In the current recommended book list, the subject area and list did not properly reflect the times, and the information on the provided list was very simple. Also, it was found that there was no suggestion on how to use the recommended book list. Through this, the recommended book list with the addition of bibliographic information and composition of the subject area was proposed. In addition, the reading discussion method was structured using Havruta.
Since traditional static metadata set like Dublin Core has static metadata attributes about bibliography information, integration of metadata for various metadata, problems about standard and extension of metadata must be considered for applying it to new environment. Specially, as event-driven metadata write method included the notion of e-commerce come out for interoperability in digital libraries, traditional metadata management which cannot distinguish between different kinds of update operations to new extension of metadata set occurs unsuitable waiting of update operation. So, improvement is needed about it. In this paper, we show whether alleviative transaction consistency can be applied to digital library or not. Also it would divide newer metadata into static metadata attribute connected in read operation within user read-only transaction and dynamic metadata attribute in update operation within dynamic(e-commerce) update transactions. We propose newer metadata management algorithm considered in classfication of metadata attributes and dynamic update transaction. Using two version for minimal maintenance cost and ARU(Appended Refresh Unit) for dynamic update transaction, to minimize conflict between read and write operations shows fast response time and high recency ratio. As a result of the performance evaluation, we show our algorithm is proved to be better than other algorithms in newer metadata environments.
This paper attempts to investigate the establishment of an interactive knowledge base for action planning by virtual agents and an interactive knowledge-based planning system. A fixed knowledge base is unable to properly handle a change in circumstances because fixed planning is only available under a fixed knowledge base. Therefore, this paper proposes the establishment of an interactive knowledge base which is applicable to diverse environments and an artificial intelligence planning system in which an interactive knowledge base is available. The interactive knowledge base proposed in this paper consists of motivation, behavior, object and action. The association relationship between knowledge base and its input is set using an automation tool. With this tool, a user can easily add to or amend the components of the knowledge base. With this knowledge base, a character plans all action items and chooses one of them to take an action. Since a new action can be applicable by updating the knowledge base even when the character environment changes, it is very useful for virtual reality content developers. This paper has established a relationship between scalable interactive knowledge base components and other components and proposes a convenient input tool and a planning system algorithm effective for an interactive knowledge base. The results of this study have been verified through testing in a virtual environment ('virtual library').
The purpose of this study was to investigate eighth graders' scientific method of inquiry used in their reports. We developed a framework, 'Analysis of Scientific Methods and Information Sources', with a perspective of the Nature of Science to analyze students' planning method, data analysis, and information sources. We then compared results with levels of questions to find out whether they affected students' 'Scientific Method'. In addition, we analyzed students' responses of the survey questionnaire, e.g.. how they liked Scientific Method. Results are as follows: First, 'planning method' consisted of 'consultant' and 'activities'. The 'activities' were 'experiment', 'correlational study', and 'observation' Students planned by utilizing 'consultant' more than the other. In case of planning 'activities'. most of them were 'experiment' Second, 'data analysis' consisted of 'summary', 'table', 'chart', 'graph' and so on. Students analyzed their data by using 'summary' frequently. The types of 'summary' were divided into 'simple summary' and 'relational statement' Third, 'information sources' consisted of 'computer', 'library'. and 'professional consultant' Most of the students gathered information from 'computer' Fourth, the types of 'planning method' and 'summary' were affected by the levels of questions. Fifth, some of the students reported their difficulty in 'planning method' because the collected information was less reliable, lacking, and having difficult technical terms.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of studies on swallowing rehabilitation interventions for stroke patients that had been conducted in the past 5 years (2010-2014) in Korea and to examine their findings. A literature search was conducted through RISS, National Assembly Library, and KISS, and 12 papers were analyzed. Four articles were from nursing science, and 8 from other disciplines. Qualitative evaluation of the articles was conducted by using an evaluation framework that was designed by the researcher, which took into account the checklist presented by the Scottish Intercollegiate Guideline Network (2013). In the results of the qualitative evaluation on the papers, 4 studies scored 7 out of 10 points, 6 studies scored between 5 and 6 points, and 2 studies scored 4 points. Intervention sessions were conducted for 25 minutes, on average, each at a frequency of 4.1 sessions per week, for a total of 33.7 sessions. This study found that direct swallowing training and comprehensive intervention of respiratory and oral, including pharyngeal were effective in relieving difficulties in swallowing. In the future, such findings are expected to be used in nursing interventions for establishment of the basis for evidence-based nursing practice.
In the early 20th century, Japan built theaters to take possession of colonial culture while establishing the Imperial University, libraries, and museums to accumulate and spread the knowledge of "imperial" Japan. Many different genres made a hit in theaters including theatrical troupes, theatrical companies, and motion pictures. One of the various features of expositions was "spectacles" or unusual events. They were integrated with a national festival in celebration of "5th anniversary of political commencement." In 1915, the longest hit series in Keijo (Seoul) was the dance performance by professional Japanese beauties and entertainers, whose songs delivered the legitimacy of governance. This study focused on the performance in the space of "cultural" spread called theaters, thus examining the "imperial" cultural waves they were in charge of. The study also focused on the tensional relations of Hierarchie along those cultural borders. The performance at the theater Engeikan(演芸館) in 1915 was especially an epoch-making event in the Japanese theatrical community of Keijo (Seoul): first, it marked the emergence of large-scale performance hall called Engeikan(演芸館); secondly, the performance kept its ongoing, stable streak for about 50 days; and it led to the appearance of leading troupes including Geijutuza(芸術座), which put on a show in Keijo (Seoul) in November, 1915. The study examined the issues of theater Engeikan(演芸館) performance in 1915 involving the art company, performance genre, and audience composition, showed that there was the coexistence of entertainment and governance through cultural ruling while securing amusement and entertainment, and found it was accompanied by the organized operation of "Keijo Sponsorship Council(京城協贊會)" which brought together the cultural capabilities of Japanese people living in Joseon. The performance at theater Engeikan(演芸館) in Keijo (Seoul) in 1915 fully reflected the issues involving the tensional relations between different artistic genres, the competing relations between the subjects of performance, and the cultural power.
The aim of this study was to grasp the seriousness of depression problems in medical students by examining the research trends among them and to present desirable direction of the future study. A selective search has been conducted for literature published in Nurimedia (DBPIA), Korean studies Information Service System (KISS), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), National Assembly Library (NANET) and National Digital Science Library (NDSL) databases. 18 papers have been selected for the final analysis. The results showed that studies on depression problems were published in very small proportion which researchers with diverse majors including psychiatry participated. Second, most of depression assessment tools usually measured depression only while some did various psychological symptoms. Third, independent t test was the most frequent analytic method. Last but not least, there was no research dealing with intervention about depression in medical students. To sum up, though numerous researchers with diverse specialties participated in the depression study and analyzed the data using various analyses and variables, there is a lack of intervention for depression of the medical students. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize the necessity of practical intervention based on the evidence-based practice.

The aim of this review was to determine the status of acupuncture therapies in reducing obesity in obese patients and to determine the scheme and effectiveness of acupuncture therapies. Existing reports published between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2017 in Kiss, Riss, National Assembly Library, Pubmed and CINAHL databases were searched electronically with the keywords obesity, acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, and electroacupuncture. After checking the original sources of the articles, 19 articles were included in the review. In a qualitative evaluation of the papers using a checklist from the Scottish Intercollegiate Guideline Network, one study scored 9 out of 10 points, 15 studies scored 7-8 out of 10 points, two studies scored 6 out of 10 points, and one study scored 3 out of 10 points. In the acupuncture therapy schemes, acupoints to reduce obesity included shemen, hunger, LI-11 (Quchi), LI-4 (Hegu), St-25 (Tianshu) and St-44 (Neiting). Acupuncture therapies were conducted for an average of 16.9 total sessions. In the studies that involved 20-day or 72-day duration for acupuncture therapies, the frequency of acupuncture therapies was 1 time/1-2 days. In the studies that involved 4- to 18-week duration for acupuncture therapies, the frequency of acupuncture therapies was 1-3 times/week. This study found acupuncture therapies were effective in reducing obesity, and acupuncture therapies reduced anthropometry, blood glucose and lipids and changed blood hormones. In the future, there is an urgent need for well-planned studies of the effectiveness of acupuncture therapies for reducing obesity in obese patients.

In order to resolve the imbalances in the supply of living SOCs according to socio-economic status, location, and population groups, the discussions on inclusive city policies are expanding. The purpose of this study is to propose an Index of Park Derivation (IPD) as an alternative indicator for the promotion of an inclusive urban park policy that can be applied in the 7 major metropolitan cities to select a region with a relatively high park needs. The main research results are as follows. First, the concept of an inclusive urban park policy is defined as "a policy to supply to manage high-quality park services with priority given to areas with low socio-economic and environmental status, such as a large amount of elderly, children, low-income families, areas vulnerable to disasters, such as heat and fine dust, and population groups." Second, we developed the index of park derivation (IPD), which is a combination of 17 variables including park service level, demographic characteristics, economic and educational level, health level, and environmental vulnerability. The variables that constitute the index of park deprivation (IPD) can be applied to SOC policies outside the parks, such as sports facilities, daycare centers, kindergartens, and public libraries. Third, applying index of park deprivation (IPD) to 1,148 Eup/Myeon/dong areas of the 7 metropolitan cities resulted in areas with relatively high park service needs. This study implies that the central and the local government suggest an alternative index to promote an inclusive urban park policy based on statistical and geographical information and data that can be easily accessed and utilized.
