Blockchain Applications in Construction

  • Construction is one of the oldest fields of providing human living comfort. However, despite the continuous development not only in IT but also in other fields, productivity degradation due to low automation is still serious. In particular, the use of the 4th industrial revolution technologies in construction is just beginning. Blockchain, which is one of the 4th industrial revolution technologies, is a type of a distributed database that is used to replicate, share, and synchronize data spread across different geographical locations, such as multiple sites, countries, or organizations. In this paper, we introduce the block chain and analyze use cases according to seven themes in construction. As a result of the analysis, it is expected to increase the understanding of blockchain in construction and provide usefulness for the development of various services in the future.

A Study on the Relationship Between Grit and Well-Being with the Mediation Effect of Self-Efficacy: A Case of General Hospital Nurses in South Korea (그릿이 조직구성원의 웰빙과 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 -종합병원 간호사를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship of grit with well-being and self-efficacy. Grit was considered as a two-factor variable with consistency of interest and perseverance of effort. For the empirical analysis, data were collected from the sample of 237 nurses working at general hospitals. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26 to test the hypothetical relationships. It was suggested that two factors of grit would be possible associated with well-being. However, the results of this study showed that the consistency of interest part of grit had non-significant effect on well-being, Perseverance of effort part of grit had indirect effect on well-being through fully mediation effect of self-efficacy. This study confirmed that grit, some how, positively related to well-being and variables such as, self-efficacy, could be a important variable to bridge grit to well-being. Further studies were suggested to perform studies on more about grit's two factors and unexplored external variables between grit and well-being of nursing professionals.

Development of Security Anomaly Detection Algorithms using Machine Learning (기계 학습을 활용한 보안 이상징후 식별 알고리즘 개발)

  • With the development of network technologies, the security to protect organizational resources from internal and external intrusions and threats becomes more important. Therefore in recent years, the anomaly detection algorithm that detects and prevents security threats with respect to various security log events has been actively studied. Security anomaly detection algorithms that have been developed based on rule-based or statistical learning in the past are gradually evolving into modeling based on machine learning and deep learning. In this study, we propose a deep-autoencoder model that transforms LSTM-autoencoder as an optimal algorithm to detect insider threats in advance using various machine learning analysis methodologies. This study has academic significance in that it improved the possibility of adaptive security through the development of an anomaly detection algorithm based on unsupervised learning, and reduced the false positive rate compared to the existing algorithm through supervised true positive labeling.

Malicious Insider Detection Using Boosting Ensemble Methods (앙상블 학습의 부스팅 방법을 이용한 악의적인 내부자 탐지 기법)

  • Due to the increasing proportion of cloud and remote working environments, various information security incidents are occurring. Insider threats have emerged as a major issue, with cases in which corporate insiders attempting to leak confidential data by accessing it remotely. In response, insider threat detection approaches based on machine learning have been developed. However, existing machine learning methods used to detect insider threats do not take biases and variances into account, which leads to limited performance. In this paper, boosting-type ensemble learning algorithms are applied to verify the performance of malicious insider detection, conduct a close analysis, and even consider the imbalance in datasets to determine the final result. Through experiments, we show that using ensemble learning achieves similar or higher accuracy to other existing malicious insider detection approaches while considering bias-variance tradeoff. The experimental results show that ensemble learning using bagging and boosting methods reached an accuracy of over 98%, which improves malicious insider detection performance by 5.62% compared to the average accuracy of single learning models used.

  • 기후변화로 인해 전지구적인 이상기후현상이 빈번하게 발생하고 있으며 지구온도와 해수면상승과 더불어 강우패턴의 변화가 세계적인 문제로 대두되고 있다. 특히 아세안 국가의 경우 태풍 및 집중호우에 대한 침수피해의 빈발로 2,000만명 이상이 피해를 입은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 윈인으로는 자연재해에 의한 인명 및 재산피해관련 대응기술의 개발 및 대응조직의 전문성이 미흡하다는 것이 가장 큰 원인으로 제시되고 있다. 이에 많은 국가 및 기관에서 재난 대응 기술을 ODA사업을 통해 지원하고 있다. 우리나라에서도 지속적인 ODA사업으로 재난 대응 기술, 그 중에서도 홍수대응 기술을 적극적으로 보급하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 ASEAN국가 현지 맞춤형 인공지능 하천수위예측 모형을 개발하여 ASEAN국가의 홍수대응 능력을 향상시키고자 하였다. 연구대상으로는 관측데이터의 수집이 용이하고 양질의 관측자료를 장기간 확보할 수 있는 필리핀의 Montalban 관측소를 대상으로 하였다. Montalban 수위관측소는 마닐라를 관통하는 마리키나 강의 상류에 위치하고 있다. 주변에는 상류쪽에 Mt. Oro 강우관측소가 있으며 해당 관측소의 강우자료와 Montalban 관측소의 수위자료를 입력자료로 활용하여 최대 3시간까지 수위를 예측하였다. 예측수위에 대한 적합도 지표로 NSE(Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency coefficient)를 사용하였으며 2시간 예측까지는 0.8이상의 유의미한 결과를 나타내 홍수예보에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단되나, 3시간 예측결과는 홍수예보에 활용하기 어려운 것으로 판단하였다. 이는 Mt. Oro관측소에 내린 강우가 Montalban 관측소에 도달하기까지 소요되는 시간이 3시간 이내이기 때문으로 판단된다. 관측소의 수위자료와 상류에 위치한 강우관측소의 장기간 고품질의 관측자료가 존재한다면 높은 정확도의 예측결과를 도출 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • It is not easy to implement an energy management system in an industrial complex where small businesses are scattered, so the method of collecting and adjusting energy-related data is mainly used. FEMS is a system that responds to the demand for a paradigm shift from a passive energy management method to an active energy management method using IoT and ICT. In this study, a factory energy management system(FEMS) is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises located in chemical industrial complexes. Efficiency was confirmed by reviewing energy saving measures and efficiencies through FEMS for the electric energy of facilities built in each company. The cost effectiveness of FEMS is created when it is utilized by responsible and empowered personnel within the business processes of the host company. Therefore, it is necessary to utilize EMS that can be applied to the planning, support, operation and evaluation, and continuous improvement of the energy management system to achieve corporate organization and energy management goals.

A Study on the Organizational Development for Intelligent Technology Acceptance in ESG Management (ESG 경영을 위한 지능형 기술을 수용하는 조직개발 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically confirm what is an important variable of organizational change by intelligent technology acceptance and whether is a difference in important variables in the organization level of acceptance of intelligent technology. Recently, business models using intelligent technologies such as chat-bots, self-driving cars, credit-prevention fraud, face recognition, and health-care are emerging. External situation factors such as artificial intelligence, big data, COVID-19, and the ESG management are changing the direction of a company's management strategy. This research method established a structural equation model. As a result of the analysis, we found that the leadership, organizational culture, and organizational cooperation variables had a positive effect on human resource development variables. Human resource development found a positive effect on the performance of intelligent technology. In addition, we found the independent variables of leadership, organizational culture, and organizational cooperation had partial mediating effects on the performance of intelligent technology. Each group of levels of intelligent technology found performance differences. The organizational culture variables appeared as important variables in all groups. On the other hand, the leadership variable appeared as an important variable in the middle and lower groups of intelligent technology. The theoretical background of this study is that the business theory was updated through artificial intelligence and intelligent technology theory. As a practical implication, the organization adopting intelligent technology is necessary to prepare a systematic plan for organizational culture change.

  • This paper investigated and studied the influence of consultant's competence on CEO's values. There are many studies about relation between consultant's competence and company's accomplishment, but there are lack of research about how consultant's competence effected CEO's Value. The data source used in this study is a questionnaire survey involving 177 CEOs of SME who have experience in consulting. Based on this collected data, we conducted factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis, and hypotheses were verified through correlation analysis and regression analysis. This study shows that consultant's competence affected CEO's values in some ways, and also contributes to both academic and practical implications about corporate management that related sustainable growth between consultant and client.

Gender difference of Work-life Balance and the effect of Work-life Balance on Parenting Confidence (성별에 따른 일·생활 균형 인식수준 차이와 일·생활 균형이 부모 자신감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine gender differences in response to work-life balance(WLB) and to investigate the effect of WLB on parenting confidence and to examine the moderating role of career management in the relationship between WLB and parenting confidence. Through SPSS 18.0, the model structure was tested between WLB, parenting confidence, and career management by a t-test, regression test, and hierarchical regression test. A total of 505 cases were analyzed. The major findings were as follows: First, it was found that there was no difference in the level of WLB by gender. Second, it was found that there was a positive relationship between WLB and parenting confidence. Third, it was found that career management moderated the relationship between WLB and parenting confidence. Based on the findings, practical implications about married female workers and the importance of WLB in the organizations were discussed.

A Study on ISMS-P Controls for Hyper Scale Cloud (하이퍼 스케일 클라우드에 적합한 정보보호 및 개인정보보호 관리체계 인증 통제항목 연구)

  • Critical information infrastructure designations for cloud service providers continue to spread around the world as energy, financial services, health, telecommunications, and transportation sectors move to the cloud. In addition, in the case of Ukraine, the removal of restrictions on the use of cloud for national critical facilities and the rapid transition of critical data to the cloud enabled the country to effectively respond to cyberattacks targeting Russian infrastructure. In Korea, the ISMS-P is operated to implement a systematic and comprehensive information protection management system and to improve the level of information protection and personal information protection management in organizations. Control items considering the cloud environment have been modified and added to the audit of companies. However, due to the different technical levels of clouds between domestic and global, it is not easy to obtain information on the findings of cloud providers such as Microsoft for the training of domestic certification auditors on hyperscale scale. Therefore, this paper analyzes findings in hyperscale clouds and suggests ways to improve cloud-specific control items by considering the compatibility of hyperscale environments with ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC(System and Organization Control) security international standards.
